Had a rental over night, with potential pre-existing damage and was charged 350$ for the repair. Horrible service and no accountability. Would never recommend. I would like to add to my initial statement to clarify since there has been a reply to this post : - I agree with the person replying that no fault damage is a difficult thing especially when no paper trail can be found. Saying that an inspection has been performed and that nothing was wrong has no validity. Thus making it a he said she said incident where the company will always attempt to protect themselves. - This vehicle was a loaner as warranty work was being on our Jeep and was expect to be an overnight job. I was not present for the initial signing of paper, I was however present the second time (I returned the rental with defect and on the ride to the dealership was told our car was not ready therefore we needed another rental). Once arrived at the dealership I signed the paperwork for the second rental and no LDW (coverage) was offered. A couple signatures and that was it. So I don't think it is appropriate for you to say it was in your reply when it more than likely was not. - The person doing the inspection made the renter feel rushed as if they had other things to do. - I was not present for the initial rental, however I was the one who noticed the split in the windshield when I went to drive the vehicle in the morning and contacted the company immediately in an effort to resolve the situation in the fastest manner possible. - I drove to the dealership to deal with the situation waited for over half over to speak with someone who could deal with the situation and never heard back so I had to return to work. Was told I would be contacted by telephone soon there after only to not hear anything until having to make two additional phone calls. - We only finally started to get results when the company was told that lawyers would be involved. I feel as though one star is exactly what that type of service deserves. If you wish to contact me to discuss further as you feel that I misrepresented the situation and the facts please let me know

My husband requires a rental vehicle several times a year for work travel, and Jamieson is our go to. Today was evidence as to why. I arrived just before closing with my kids - we were meeting my husband but he was stuck in traffic so was going to be a little bit late. Glen (who is an always friendly person), made sure we weren't going to have to sit out in the rain and wait - and I didn't have to ask, he just insisted. Now THAT is customer service, and why we always call Jamieson first.

They deliver a nice clean car when you come to pick up and go over everything with you. So far good experiences here and friendly staff. Not sure how many vehicles they have but they have a few vans and regular trucks available!

We rented one of their 16’ trucks for moving. The whole experience was great. Booking over the phone was easy. When I went to pick it up, the truck was already waiting out front, cleaned and ready to go. The gentleman who did the paperwork and handed over the keys was great; he answered my many questions, explained everything clearly, and was very patient as I read through the papers. Somebody did a walk around of the vehicle with me and explained how the door latch and ramp worked. The truck itself was incredibly clean, both in the cab and in the back, and it ran and handled very well. It was full of fuel and there was plenty of windshield washer fluid for the nasty winter driving. Lastly, they have a drop box for the key so that you can return the vehicle after hours which is very handy. A couple very minor issues: I had originally submitted a request on their website via the online form but never got a callback, hence having to call in to book it. My submission seemed to have gotten lost. Also, we had a night of freezing rain while we had the truck and some water got in at one of the front corners. Luckily we had not left the truck loaded overnight so it wasn’t an issue, but I would not have been happy if I had packed some furniture or cardboard boxes in that corner and they got wet. Overall, would definitely recommend Jamieson for rental vehicles.

Poor experience. Bad business decisions. Not as bad as the rest of the crowd. They have a nice website; however, it is not connected to the real database. Booking a van online doesn't mean it will be available offline. Getting a call with "sorry your van is unavailable" is appalling. At least they call. Buy more vans guys, it's good for your business.

Honestly it was so smooth and reasonable it felt like I borrowed a car from a family friend. Glenn was kind and generous. I had rented a cargo van for two days for moving. The elevators in the building were out of service and I unexpectedly had to reschedule moving. I called the morning of my rental start date and explained the situation. Glenn listened, reassured me that everything will work out and told me it’s no problem if I only need the car for one day or if I need to reschedule. I was pleasantly surprised, almost caught off guard by his compassionate response. I was only charged for one day, no fees or other charges. I also explained I had insurance for commercial vehicles after I signed the forms and he removed the insurance charge—no fuss. Just asked to confirm it covered commercial vehicles. He didn’t try to push me or sell me extra stuff or even complain about the fact he had to re-print the forms. He was pleasant and friendly the whole way through! I rented a high-roof cargo van for the move. It was very spacious. All my stuff fit in one go. (Previously, I’d moved by mini van and it took five trips.) The car was clean and pristine. Had 16k on the odometer. Glenn wiped everything down. (They must vacuum too after every rental because there wasn’t even dirt or hair or anything inside. It was so clean a part of me thought I’d need to vacuum it before I returned it haha (I didn’t) I dropped it off after hours and called to make sure they received it. No unexpected charges or hidden fees. There’s also plexiglass installed inside the building and Glenn was wearing a mask. There was hand sanitizer for everyone entering and leaving. They only use pens once for signatures; they gave me the pen after I signed paperwork and I could see a big open box of pens on Glenn’s side of the plexiglass. He even wiped my driver’s license and credit card with disinfectant after touching it. BEST CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE EVER! This is clearly a local business that actually cares about people. If only the rest of the world were like Jamieson Car and Truck Rental: trustworthy, reliable, honest, and clean.

I usually don’t write bad reviews but after my experience today I felt I needed to. I called in to rent a SUV for my weekend trip and the guy I spoke to was VERY rude to me. I attempted to explained that I had a credit card but the limit was $300– he cut me off mid-sentence spoke to me very belittling like I was his child. I do not appreciate being spoken to in this manner and I do not think anyone should be spoken to like that—even his own child. Jamieson should pick better employees who can speak to customers or even potential customers with respect and dignity. No one is better than no one— we are all human beings.

The two people I talked to were both very rude and unprofessional, they couldn't help me make reservations the had no manners and they were quick to hang up on me. I'm very unimpressed with the Kitchener's location telephone operators. Would not recommend if looking for good customer service.

This truck rental is fantastic. I had a great experience with the team and they were very honest and easy to work with. It really feels like a family run business the way they take care of their customers . Because they had a slightly bigger truck available they offered it to me with no extra charge. I would highly recommend them especially for long distance moving. Their rate is 35 to 40 cents/km compared to 89 cent/km at uhaul.

I Had a really horrible experience with the Kitchener location....please never use this company to rent the car...very ignoring and bad services ....after I was using 407 and was charged 19$ for high way cost they charged me additional/another 25$ as administration fee ...for what ....for 2 min work ? Nobody inform me...hey don't use 407 because we will charge you additional 25$ administration fee ...it's worst service I ever used in my life ...

While trying to figure out what is the best option for my Mother In Law, we needed to ensure that we could move her items. I contacted the Woodstock location and the girl who answered the phone was so helpful. She answered any questions that we had ( 3 calls) and when my husband wanted me to measure the dimensions, the gentleman that works there was very polite and helped me measure the interior of the vehicle, when a decision is made on what to do with my Mother in Laws belongings they will be my first call. We will be using this company for all of our rental needs.
