I found the whole experience to be pretty simple. I felt supported above and beyond the service we were paying for. The only part I was unimpressed with was their Vancouver based appraiser. We were selling a 3 year old home and he used a 50 year old house as a comparable and a house built in the 90s. Neither of them were similar to our house. I contacted him with my concerns and he told me he would list quite a bit over his appraisal price and take the closest offer. We ended up hiring a local appraiser for a refinance and their price was much better and didn’t compare our three year old house to a 50 year old house. Overall, I would use property guys again for sure but would have preferred to not get the appraiser from the Vancouver dude.

Our representative was very new to her role, but she was very professional and put our needs first as much as she could. Our successful buyer came to us organically from a personal connection, but that was just lucky. We did get multiple offers and sold slightly over asking. The appraisal completed by their provider was off by $125k - $175k and we are certainly glad we did not rely on it alone.
