Rented a couple of bikes for a few hours. The bikes were fine and did what bikes do with no issues. The customer service was horrible. We were there at 10 at opening time. The bald guy that waited on us was clearly very annoyed that we wanted to give him our money. Seemed like we ruined his day. Very rude and abrupt. Will go elsewhere next time.

A small group of us rented hardtails for a ride along some of the local trails. Bikes came supplied with helmets, a couple of bike chains and trail maps. Rental was quick, easy and reasonably priced. Bikes were in good condition and felt comfortable to ride.

Vicious cycle provided us with these nice bikes, and we were in and out of there in 10 minutes. They also provided us with maps of the area, and ideas of what trails to explore and it was worth it. Note: They’ll hold onto the drivers license of a member of the party renting the bikes. Prices were also really affordable too!

Amazing Bike shop. Very knowledgeable staff, super customer service! Best in the region. Sure beats anything we have in GP! Been to the Edmonton shops but when it comes to mountain bikes knowone knows their stuff like Vicious Cycle.

I have purchased several bikes from Vicious Cycle over the years and lot of gear. Always a good experience and if there are any issues they deal with them quickly and fairly. Bike service is awesome, a good selection of bikes on the floor and they can order you anything that you need. Excellent local support for events and prize giveaways, discounts for club members and rental bikes available. Lots of fun demos to try out too. All of this includes their service for winter including cross country ski rentals, board tuning and backcountry equipment. They have you covered 24/7/365.

Sorry. I can't recommend the store. I booked a rental bike online. The day I went in the store one knows about my booking. I saw on the computer that the email was already read. The guy at the counter apologized that he was not there the day before. The two other guys hasn't checked or respond the mails from the day before. Not very professional. The rental bikes they offer were looking nice but please look on whistler or stores at bc. They know how you deal with online bookings even if there are no more rentals avaible for the day. Poor service Answer: Sorry you offer a online Service and don't answer. That's poor. I rent in a lot of cities and towns in BC and Alberta bikes. It all work fine and when there was no bike available then they contact me and tell me before I went to the shop. I booked the bike two days before. Sorry there was enough time to answer and the day before i went to look for the shop and there were three guys who only talk. Sorry my opinion. Bad service. Better bring your own bikes or look for other shops.

I went there today for a bike rental for a buddy , a tubeless tire tune up, and a new 29" inner. The front office guy was terrible. He didn't offer to help with anything except getting the rental for my friend. I asked him if he could help me with the tire and he said no. Was completely abbrassive and did not care. If there was a definition on how to lose business this guy was it. I would highly recommend that you head to freewheel Cycle or any place but here to get a better experience and people that actually care about your adventure.

I bought two bikes from Vicious in Hinton over the years and both times have been extremely impressed with the service. They want people to have fun riding bikes, no matter what you ride or how old your bike might be. Marshall is just keen to get you back on the trails! He takes the time to explain bike mechanics and offers all solutions (on both ends of the price spectrum). From a female perspective, this is nice to see. The moment you walk in, you're in good hands, and great company. Sometimes there are even puppies in the store to play with.

They certainly don't service their rental bikes adequately. Rented a beautiful Santacruz Heckler and received with way low air pressure in both front and rear suspension and the shifting was very sluggish ...

Be careful with the gear they rent to you. Always double check if there is anything already broken or already crackted on your bike or it will be YOU paying to repare it and this is not cheap! An other issue is that they are not flexible with the time frame. Once you paid for the day you can't go back to a three hour deal. There are many other places in town which are more flexible about that. Other than that the people working there seem professional, know their business and are friendly.

On a biking trip I lost a joint bolt and had no replacement for it. The part would of taking to long for the order to arrive. So they got the part from a new bike and sold it to me for catalog price. For some this might not seem like much but not all would do this plus it save my biking trip. Really nice team and service

The service on my bike was poorly done they just threw the parts on loosely and did not tune my shifter correctly or at all. Overcharged me for labor that shouldn’t take more than an hour at max. I would know I used to work in a bike shop. The parts were a reasonable price but the service was poor. I had no choice though because all my tools are back home. They asked me to specify so here it goes. - The rear Axle was not threaded in - The shifter cable tension was loose - The limit screws were nowhere near in place - seat post fell as soon as I sat down. - brakes were vertical from bleeding and not reset I simply could not ride the bike when it was given to me because the chain would skip directly into the spokes every time I tried to pedal. and I didn't voice my concerns when I was there because I was in a rush and buddy couldn't really speak English. The few words he did know was "You should upgrade to a Santa Cruz". I found that to be kind of rude the way he said it like my bike is garbage or something? Then I did not want them to stop by because I was at work. This bike shop should work on their service because that is all that bike shops have going for themselves these days considering that everything is cheaper online. Also, take a look at the reviews for this place on TripAdvisor, they are terrible. I'm guessing all the good ones on here are fake. Look at the photos of the invoice as well they wrote only 1-hour labor but charged way more.

Best experience so far! Staff was exceptional and helped me pick the right bike and pointed myself and friends out a good ride on a map. We ended up a way over our initial rental and they only charged us an aditional $10.00. Pretty good for three hours past due! Highly recomend hiring your bikes here.

These guys took great care of us. We rented a few bikes for the afternoon. The process was efficient for sign-in and sign-out. We got some pretty nice bikes with suspension. They were easy on us for a bit of overtime. One of the bikes dropped the chain a couple of times. Road out around Annette Lake.

This is an Awesome bike shop. Really core bike shop. I had some De-raileur issues that threatened to derail my vacation, I had some locals direct me to Vicious Cycle. When I arrived the shop was hopping busy but the guys were great! I left my bike with them for an hour or so and went for lunch. When I got back they had fit it in and repaired it! Was back on the trails and enjoying Jasper's amazing scenery! I would recommend this shop to anyone.

My girlfriend and I stopped in to Vicious on our trip to Jasper as I forgot a pair of gloves and figured this would be a great place to pop into. We were not greeted when entering the business, which is a small space so it takes effort not to say hello. We instantly found the glove selection on the main wall. Here many of the hooks for accessories where empty or missing many sizes. So after 2 minutes of thumbing through we were asked "can I help you", to which we asked if there as any additional stock on hand in my size. This was met with one word "nope". Then the employee looked down to his computer and kept working away. Although we were looking for black gloves in a size M I would have been open to other suggestions of colour and would have purchased as we needed it that day but when palmed off as we were it left us just wanting to leave.

Because of our cancelled rafting (1.00 pm) we wanted to rent 2 mountainbikes for half a day or maybe a full day ( 8 hours) starting 2.30. Because the shop is closing at 6.00 pm and a half day is at Vicious only 3 hours I suggested if we didn't make it at 6.00 pm to bring the bikes back next morning, also because our rafting was re booked for the next day. This was inpossible. I would have to pay for 24 hours. Anyone ever went up the mountain on a bicycle during the night? Allready annoyed by this I was asked to leave my driving licence at the shop during the rental, copy or photo was out of the question. So if I was after 6.00 we couldn't use the car that night.. At that point I lost my temper and went to another shop. Open till 9.00, half a day was 4 hours and for a better price. What does it mean, Vicious?

Prices are reasonable. Like another comment, one of our bikes had a chain that kept coming off - 3 times in 2 hours which was obviously frustrating. One of the bikes appeared haunted as it liked to change gears unilaterally which wasn’t expected. Watch out for the brakes - they’re very effective if you like somersaulting over the handlebars!!

Just came from vicious for the second time this week bringing in broken bikes. Nate in the back always took care of us in a super fast and cost effective manor. Super helpful/ friendly and was willing to take the extra time to show us how to do basic maintenance ourselves and tips and tricks. Highly recommend the shop.

Absolutely destroyed my worn out 3x9 drivetrain on the 5 lakes trail, after some great advice on how to replace it i got a new 1x11 setup. Billy was awesome and got it done the next day, best bike shop in jasper.

Poor experience. One guy shouldn't be allowed to be in customer service. Didn't seem to care or show a interest in us wanting to find places to ride that suited us. Just gave us a map. He was very abrupt to us. We are experienced cross country mountain bikers from overseas and wanted to hire only one bike as we had one bike with us. We felt as if we were interrupting his day and his phone beeping on the counter. On the other hand a second guy that served us once we had returned to store was helpful. Unfortunately our experience was hampered with two bad dealings with the first Australian guy. Hopefully he is a temporary staff member on his OE.
