I bought a car that had been given a clean bill of health by this OK TIRE, that was in close proximity to the dealership. In the first week of driving the vehicle I notice telltale obvious signs of brakes and CV joint in disrepair and rechecked OK TIRE assesment sheet and was correct there was no mention of either issue whatsoever that was more than obvious.just driving in the vehicle. Naturally I called the dealer and he was fantastic telling me to take it back to OK TIRE and have them reinspect and explain my concerns. Relieved, I did just that.knowing bad brakes are dangerous and a bad CV joint the wheel could come off in motion, both deadly. All I could think about was not being able to feel safe in a car OK TIRE had deemed perfect.
The desk.guy was extremely rude to me in any aspect possible, belligerent, rude and spiteful. Since there were no witnesses, after I wrote down the exact words in the exchange that took place and still have those notes. I was humble and just stayed on course in spite of his unprofessional attempt to intimate and reminded him it was my car dealers request and bill. He was even rude telling me where to leave my car and can provide the exact quote.
Later that day I came to pick car up, kind of hoping for a more reasonable desk guy with less issues to be on shift but wasn't so lucky. My car had the full appearance of not moving and I had written down the reading on my mileage meter, which was the first thing I examined when getting into the car. Had not moved just as the car. In the office the only words spoken was "It's fine."before he literally walked away.
Well after that I took car to another mechanic and did not mention any defect, asking for full inspection. Upon arrival walking 5k home, there was already a message on my answering machine from the polite front office of this well known auto repairs shop telling me they hadn't finished inspection but absolutely at least brakes and both CV joint s had to be repaired and those had been in need for sometime, obvious during mechanics quick test drive on initial inspection and since confirmed.
The bill was well over 1500$ and I did not want to write this 100% non exaggerated, completely honest accounting of my experience at OK TIRE, ON ALPHA ST, OFF BURNSIDE, IN.VICTORIA.untill I contacted a lawyer to examine my rights and if OK TIRE is allowed to put people's lives in danger and get away with it
Folks keep any documentation as I did when in a situation such as this.I am far more interested in getting accountability from OK TIRE that my deserved 1500$ after they seemed to have no consideration of my nor and other person, including children's lives. I wanted to write this a couple weeks ago but felt security in making this public only after consult with a lawyer. This is not over and this letter will end up everywhere backed by my evidence and updates of resolution.
I will not comment further for now but anyone reading this, please feel free to make your own conclusion and write me here or email. I'm not hiding behind a review and accept all opinions based on the facts.
