I was heading up to Kelowna from Vancouver last weekend and while I was on the highway I ran over something and my car made a really horrible noise. I left it at the side of the highway that night and stayed at a friend's place in Hope ad we were able to limp my car into town the next day. I got it to Kal Tire and talked to Kathy who was just finishing up with a customer. I explained my car was making this horrible noise and was hoping to get it on a hoist. They were busy, but she asked if I could replicate the noise on my car for her. I was able to and she thought maybe a rock was caught in the brake rotor or something. Despite how busy they were they got the car on the lift and the tech told me that some of my parking brake assembly had come apart, but they basically could gut it to get me home. They didn't charge me very much and my weekend was salvaged. Fantastic, small town service and everyone was a pleasure to deal with.

Got a nail in a tire on the way back from Manning Park, so rolled in to Kal Tire in Hope on my spare. One of the guys came running out to the car as we pulled up, patched the tire, and turned us around promptly like they were our own personal pit crew. Friendly group of guys & great service.

Went to have a valve steam replaced and tire filled. Drove the trailer home it sat for a few weeks and the tire was low again took it to another kal tire and they told me it didnt even look like the valve stem was replaced or like it was broken during installation. So now I'm paying for the same repair twice within 1 month

Kal Tire has been my 'go to' place for tires for years (more than twenty years). This was based on the small town service I received in places like Merritt, Lillooet and now Hope. Friendly staff that know you and go out of their way to make sure you get what you need to make you a happy customer that wants to return. The folks at the Hope store are no different. I was treated well and made to feel like I was the most important customer of the day. My disappointment lately has been with the larger centre outlets like Kamloops. Small town Hope picked up on errors made by the Kamloops centre's and then went out of their way to fix the problems and even compensated me with a discount to make up for Kamloops shortfalls. I am reconsidering my loyalty to Kal Tire because I now live in Kamloops and have been let down on more than one occasion.

Oct. 4, 2017 We ordered 4 winter tires and wheels along with tire pressure monitors from Kal Tire for our 2016 Tesla model S. They were installed last week and they look great. On Sunday we found a small issue with one of the sensors and Kal Tire corrected it early Monday morning and they work just fine. Thanks and congratulations to the Hope, BC service team for full success on their first Tesla vehicle service.

First off, the frustration and the horrendous experience has just left me in awe. I have never ever dealt with such difficult employees. My vehicle blew a tire on hwy 1, this was the closest tire store. I drive a BMW with Runflats and no spare. The driver of my vehicle has 2 more hours to go on his route. I specifically requested for RUNFLAT tires at the most affordable cost! Instead, KALTIRE HOPE decided to give me the "Cheapest tire" available which were NON RUNFLATS and installed it on the car and sent my driver off without confirming with me over the phone what TYPE of tires they installed. After receiving the car back, I realized they were not runflats. I called to have this fixed and CATHY (Hope Kaltire receptionist) decides that she dictates what actually happened and claims I APPROVED non runflats and wanted the CHEAPEST tire available. I escalated to Doug, Zone Manager and he offered me 50% of the invoice and specifically told me that I keep the tires. I agreed, he took my CC info down, my wife was listening to the entire call. 3 days later, I get a call back from the wonderful Cathy from HOPE to lecture me about how they are not in the business of renting out tires. This was at 7am! good morning to you too. Her exact words "Doug can not approve that resolution without my approval" and she refused to honor the zone managers solution. I called Doug back, left 2 VOICEMAILS!! NO call back. I am now stuck with 2 non runflat tires on my car that has NO Spare. I paid full price at $200+ a tire for what Cathy calls the "Cheapest" tire available at that time. She also threatened that she is willing to go to the "Court of Law" to defend her position. hahah and I should get a Lawyer. This is the kind of service you expect from Kal Tire guys, exactly just that. Save your hard earned cash and please please go elsewhere. They are not in the business of making things right but in the business of taking advantage and making the most money in the most unfortunate circumstances of people. I fully regret even choosing KAL TIRE and will never ever, I mean ever do business with these scam artists again. Especially HOPE location with Cathy acting like she owns the company. Horrible to say the least. I have escalated this to the "Regional Manager" and I have zero hope of this being resolved. **update** Zone Manager Doug calls me back and says he decided to back out of his resolution with me because Cathy convinced him that I was wrong. He decided not to update me this information and wasted my time chasing him down. He has also admitted error by offering me a $200 credit towards a new set of tires but still unwilling to honor his original offer. Unbelievable **update** Doug decides to call me back and honor his original offer after multiple back to back phone calls, rude treatments and wasted trips to Kal tire. I am relieved that there is still some interest in fixing this but I don't appreciate that I had to argue and fight for the same resolution I should have gotten a few days ago. Doug may have understood me and is doing the right thing but Cathy from Hope Kal Tire... WORST SERVICE ever and believe me, we are not finished. I have been in customer satisfaction industry for over 20 years and that treatment was simply disgusting.

Probably one of the best service I had in a mechanic garage. I had a severe flat tire and arrived really late in the afternoon, but they were still able to fix it before closing. Really appreciated how kind the staff was. As a tourist, they even took some time to guide me where to look up to see beautiful places near the town ! I was thrilled by the service. I am from Victoria so I have done seasonal tire change in Victoria and I do mostly city driving. So I have planned to go Calgary for this long weekend with my friends and when I started from Victoria I have noticed that the car is shaking when ever I drove above 100kms. Since we don't have time in Victoria we went to Kaltire in Hope. I thought they might not do wheel balncing because I don't have any appointment. But the Customer service representative was so nice he understood our situation and took the car for wheel balancing. I was impressed by their service by the time I bought a coffee from near by MacDonald's my car was ready. They have done it in less than 30mins by understanding our situation. They have not even charged me anything since I have done seasonal tire change from Kaltire in Victoria, two months back. Because of their service this long weekend plan was not ruined. I will definitely use the Kaltire service in future again.

Huge shout out to this Kal Tire location!! My cube van broke down in Hope on our trip back to Kelowna and they pulled out all the stops to get our parts, secure our tow, and take us in last minute.....they repaired my truck in record time and we were on the road in half the time they said! Very reasonable and great service. They knew we were from out of town and didn't take advantage! We had a quote from another co. in town and Kal Tire was half the price! I highly recommend this business!

Got a flat tire just outside of Hope- drove in Kal Tire even though it was closed in hopes of lowering the call out fee. We got there, still on hold with the 24/7 line, and Ian and Cathy (manager) turned up. Not sure what for- but what they did went over and beyond their job descriptions. Not only did they help us change our tire (that had just been put on yesterday) but they put our summer tire back on the rim instead of using our spare tire- and gave an indication as to why our brand new tire was flat, and contact details to give to our original shop. Thank-you, immensely, for turning a stressful situation into a great act of kindness we will be sure to pay forward.

Looking back on the invoice from July 2019 I noticed an odd detail in the notes. "Vehicle is not safe to be driven" due to the rear brakes. I'm curious as to why my keys were handed to me and I was allowed to drive off without verbal warning - especially since I had mentioned I was on my way to a wedding in Alberta. I had stopped in to have the brake pads changed and the mechanic, a rather stubborn and grumpy fellow, said the calipers were seized. I asked to try and work them free and was told he'd do his best. When getting to Kal Tire to look there was no rust penetrant solution on the surface rust around the calipers and it was apparent he simply applied pressure and decided it's easiest to just replace the calipers, which happens to add to the invoice substantially. I explained I was on a tight budget and in a hurry so to put them back on and I'd do it myself when I was home from the trip. This frustrated the mechanic and I overheard him speaking negative remarks about me in the garage from the front reception area. Not very professional. The main reason, other than budget, I didn't have them do the calipers/pads is I didn't appreciate his attitude and poor customer relation skills. I lost trust in his ability when it was clear he didn't even try the basic tricks, even if ineffective and mostly to humour my request, to get the calipers to release. Kal Tire has always been my first go-to location for any brakes/tires needs when I didn't have time or the tools to do it myself. I'll never be stopping at the Hope location again and am now hesitant to trust Kal Tire in general with my vehicle if they keep members like him on their staff. I was charged an hour shop rate to be insulted and allowed to leave with a vehicle that was "not road worthy". Be careful of this location.

Our weekend getaway to Kamloops for the Canada Day Celebrations was cut short by a large rock in the middle of Highway One near Hope. The driver side front tire was shredded on impact and the Temporary Spare was nearly flat. We made it to the Kal Tire Outlet in Hope where they assessed the situation, re-inflated the temporary spare, and got us back on the road and home safely. Brought in a car just bought to have 4 M&S tires For changeover They told me my tires still good 1 more season. Labour Cost was 20% higher than most for this 100 bucks most about 80 bucks but they were able to fit me in a day not a week. Free inspection stated need a wheel alighment soon. In fact the tires didnt hold on rainy road nearly went into ditch and my alignment way out shouldnt of installed tires without alignment camber out so badly in rear 3 stars for quick pleasant polite service interactions

I've been to this location three times. First time was an great experience. Friendly and helpful young man who fixed my flat for free. Second time I needed new tires after blowing one in winter. I knew I was paying too much for the 4 tires, but they were in stock and the weather was miserable. The staff were prompt and friendly, so I was happy to pay extra for the convenience. My last visit was a different story entirely. I bought a beater farm truck and needed the winter tires switched to the summers. The staff was incredibly rude and condescending (it is an ugly truck, but I was still excited to get it going). They took a ridiculously long time, and when I went to the garage to see how it was going, the young men were casually tightening the bolts while talking about a party they attended. When they finally finished, it turned out they did not switch the tires at all. Merely rotated the winter tires that were on it. They apologized and told me to bring it in. Once there they said the tires were too worn out to switch and they wouldn't do it. Despite the good first experience, the last one was unpleasant enough to ensure I'll never be back. I found another place in town that I'm happy with. The mistakes did not bother me much, but the rudeness did.

Looked at my car from 15 feet away and said my tires where old and i need a whole new set and that will fix the problom and was very rude about it. I went to another place due to his attitude...it had nothing to do with my tires being old. The other place said they are fine and called him a idiot.

Awesome company, but more importantly better people. Durning the initial Atmospheric BC Rain Storm of 2021, I blew out my tire (side wall) on my way back home on Hwy 3. The team at Kal Tire did everything they could to get my X5 up and running as quickly as possible. I was stuck in Hope, BC for over 72 hours with very little ability to move as the Highways were shut down to and from the city. Of course we couldn't bring in a tire from Metro Vancouver and my X5 has very uncommon tires due to the wide 20" rims. The staff and owners made sure my wife and I had everything we required and even went beyond the call of duty to bring out an extension cord, so at least I could work on my laptop to pass the time. Not only did it help pass the time, I was able to close two sales which they enable me to do. Couldn't be more happy with Kal Tire. I drive through Hope, BC very often, so all my future business will be done at this Kal Tire.

I had an emergency stop at 4pm on Thursday and had a 12 hour all night drive ahead of me. The helpful and sympathetic guys up front got me in right away and the head mechanic (I have shamefully forgotten his name!)diagnosed my issue(a very loose bolt on my new airbag suspension), tightened it, and had me on my way in 30 minutes! They refused payment and just said to remember them when I need tires! Awesome experience!

I was in an emergency situation and came here before 5 pm. Man was very rude and tried to extort us for a $212 dollar after hour fee as we were on back of a tow truck. Oh yeah—- he was the after hour guy. Not only stranded in a foreign country but told “ I have a life too you know”. Do not use kal tire!!! Very poor customer service and an I don’t care attitude. I don’t know how they are still in business!!!
