I go always there to rent a car. This location is very accommodating. They are reasonable as well as compared to other car rental companies. I would recommend Hertz car rental especially this location.
Awesome Sauce Staff, Service and Vehicles!! Had a reservation at the 132nd location for pickup at 3:30 on New Years Eve. As my car is in need of repair, I had to take a taxi to get to 132nd location. Turns out, the place was closed, no one on site and a not posted in window that they were closed all week. In a panic.... called Hertz 72nd street. They hopped in a car and came and picked me up and took me to their location. Found me a great vehicle and even upgraded me, at no extra cost!! I am super impressed - and believe me, it is not easy to do so. In this day and age, where all any business really has to offer, that makes them stand out and creates customer loyalty is CUSTOMER SERVICE. This location has it in spades!!!@ Thank so much guys! You deserve a raise. Will highly recommend you to everyone. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
DONT BOOK YOUR CAR HERE! I booked a car online for 8 days at this location. On monday i pick the car it was nice then i drove the car heading to my place and it’s really hard to see infront because the heater doesn’t work. Then at night when i drive the car again i turn the heater on full but still gives me a cold air for 30mins then after that you will feel the heater but not much. Come on man we need it to clear our front window. I called them the (hertz store) I tell them my problem then he respond I can’t do anything right now because we are closing soon so call tomorrow. I call them the next day stating my same problem but the guy who took the phone around 3:15pm on TUESDAY says that he don’t have same car and i told him you don’t even have SUV or any car this is a rental you should have cars. Then he said come at 4:30pm maybe I’ll get 1 car back , i told him i have work at 4:30 then he said he can’t do anything. I went there but nothing happen ended up driving the same car. THey don’t know anything about customer service and how to get customers. IF YOU NEED RENTAL CAR DONT COME HERE!

SCAM SCAM SCAM. Guys plz use some other car rental place. I got rear ended and I left my truck for repair. HERTZ car rental promised me that They will hold $160 on my credit card and I signed all the documents. After the rental was over. I got charged on my card for $160. I called in Hertz and they replied with we have your signature on file that I agreed to paying $160. It was a 100% ICBC claim and I even had rental coverage in my insurance. PLEASE BEWARE OF THEM.

A very helpful and polite crew i was in an out in no time and very prfetional.
I pre-booked a car on the telephone earlier in the week and then when I arrived they had no record of it and asked me who I was speaking to I told them I didn't know their name and then they started adding all sorts of fees onto the quote they gave me from before and then "their system" had a problem with my Visa and they refuse to let me use someone else's Visa or cash or debit.... Totally messed up my travel plans and delayed me by several hours. They seemed pretty unprofessional and disorganized.
Small office in the side of a building. Staff was friendly enough but a little pushy to sell their insurance that I didn't want. The car itself was nice and new however it smelled really bad. Like a cleaning product to get rid of cigarette smell. However the smell of smoke was still evident but the cleaning product smell was so strong that I barely used the rental. And when I did I drove Ace Ventura style with all the windows open

I took my car to get fixed at amex autobody and I was totally covered for all expenses by my insurance. They sent me for car rental at hertz at 13409 72Ave. It was an unorganized office and the guy answering the phone seemed very busy minded and couldnt answer any of my questions. Finally I got a rental car and after 1week I returned it (keep in mind all costs for this were covered by my insurance). 1month later I saw a charge in my credit card from hertz for a car rental and I called them back and told them I was covered from ICBC why did u guys charged me .they said (with out apologizing) that the body shop didn’t pay us. i called the body shop and they said that they paid hertz already, and my money will return soon.next month i saw that the hertz charge is still there.i called back again they lied to me that the body shop didn’t pay them.after 2months my 275$ Still didn’t return to my account. another thing they wanted charge me for was that the car had a lower gas level when I returned the car but i put even 10$ more than time i picked up.just be carful when u working with them .better to go elsewhere, they are very unprofessional and unorganized.
Had the opportunity to use their services for a loaner car as mine was getting the windscreen replaced at the Borco next door. Liked the staff hated the car. The car was filthy!! I was pretty grossed out by it. There were crumbs all over, stains on the seat, a funky smell and spray marks from the cleaner liquid which weren't wiped off. It's was also not in proper working order as it kept throwing an error message about the faulty forward collision prevention system. I am glad that I didn't have to pay for their services. I use rental services quite a bit because of work and this was by far the worst rental car I have ever used. Over all really disappointed that a company like hertz has such a shabby/ poorly maintained car as a part of their fleet.

Got the car from them after contacting them so many times in a single day. We were asked not to make a reservation when we went to office and they mentioned that just call one day before we wanted the car and they will let us know what vehicle we are getting. When contacted one day prior they said they don't have the vehicle and asked to try calling again after couple of hours. This series of calls went from 9 in the morning to 4:30 in the evening. I called them again and again and the response everytime was check back in couple of hours. Finally the day I needed the car, I went to office again and they mentioned they don't have any vehicle available and we had to make a reservation prior to pickup any car when we were clearly asked not to make any reservation when we went there 5 days ago. Finally after talking to them about the scenario and their assurance that they provided 5 days ago that we will get a vehicle, we got one car which was almost $100 expensive than the quote they made us before. Anyhow I got a car at the end for rent and was satisfied but if you are really in need of a car, try contacting them atleast 7 days prior or make a reservation. They say you don't need it, but actually if you want to make your life easier, make a reservation.
Hello folks! I've tried this rental place for the first time and the experience was abysmal. Before picking up the car, I checked the scratches and dent (if any) on the vehicle. There wasn't any. Later I dropped the car after a day in the same condition. I got a call from the rental office that there is a scratch on the passenger side. I told them to look at the cctv camera of theirs but they denied. There are many negative reviews of this company for a reason. I hope you guys would make the right decision before choosing the apt office.

Planning to rent a garbage . Please don’t rent any vehicle from them . No manners to serve the customers . They said only 1 person allowed they are 5 people talking to each other without masks . Never gonna go their again . Not recomanding anybody to visit this location
VERY POOR COSTUMER SERVICE FROM THE MANAGER. I had spoken the day before with the manager Sumant over the phone to specifically book an SUV. He confirmed that it has been booked. I specifically ensured that it was booked as in the past I have experienced booking for an SUV but we did not recieve the said car. Now my father and I woke up early to be at their location at 8:15am(As per the manager's direction) ready to rent, only to find out that there is no SUV. He even mentioned to the employees to give me a minivan which was not discussed at all and not what we needed. We ended up renting the minivan as no other Hertz location had an SUV. This completely changes the situation and our plans moving forward, we got delayed with our schedule and we now have to adjust with the vehicle we did not intend to have. The other employees however, were great and very helpful.

The person I talked to was so rude and unprofessional. I didn’t get his name, he was a chubby guy. If you don’t want to give a car just say that you dont want to give. He talked in a derogatory manner. You should know how to treat other people and even better know how to treat a customer.

Got in a car accident on a Ssturdy. Was told by icbc that I need to rent a car from hertz so I took a cab with my 2 kids to abbotsford hertz just to find out they closed on noon and was not open on Sunday. So we called and found that surrey hertz was open Sunday and they told us they had a car available so we drove all the way down there just to be told they have no cars! Now we wasted a bunch of time and still have no car!

Little hidden location. Good service. The staff is friendly ans helpful. But it felt like they are a little understaffed. One guy is stuck doing everything. It took over an hour to rent a car. But that seem to be standard at every Hertz I have even been too. Give your self plenty of time.
Customer service here was reasonable. They were prompt and helpful, getting me a car. They also were happy to change the car when I told them I didn't like a particular car from a previous experience. The rental I did have was mostly clean, with a couple faint stains on the sides of the seats, which was the only real downside.

I had booked a car from them and upon reaching there, they said that we are only taking reservations that are confirmed before 24 hours. I was not even contacted. They simply waited for me to show and then share this important piece of information. I had to spend 15 dollars to come at this place but they did have any courtesy to inform me or at cancel my reservation so that I could have planned something else. This is not a fair thing to do, allowing people to make a reservation and they when come, politely refuse them. You are not proactive and are not treating your customers fairly. I would definitely take this to all possible forums.

I paid for one car online and showed up to pick up my car only to be told the hertz system said I paid for a grade lower. I produced the documents that clearly supported my position. In spite of this the manager tried to convince me I made a mistake. Tell your customer he made a mistake, is wrong then try and rip him off. I got my car in the end but only because I refused to be treated so poorly. That's 3 strikes at once. Enterprise here I come.

Same story as another person. Got a rental through an autobody shop for an ICBC claim. On return, they tell me the car is “full” of pet hair, and to either get the car detailed or pay $300!!! I went in, there were a few hairs in the back seat (very easily vacuumed). I got it vacuumed from a nearby shop for $5. Then, Hertz charges me money for “GST that ICBC does not cover.” I’ve rented cars from other companies through ICBC and never been charged GST before. Horrible polices and rude customer service. On top of it, the place is stuck in a hole between autobody shops...no place to park your own car. I finally found a spot and when I came back, there were other cars surrounding my car. They had to pull out 4 cars before mine could be taken out. Go to Avis instead!

I had a great experience at Hertz very recently. The manger Jas took care of me and my friends and allowed us to have a great experience. They were quick to answer any questions and maintained great professionalism when we went to pick up and return the car. They took their time to ensure that the car was cleaned and ready for pick up, and I highly appreciated that.
They lie so much, they know they are guaranteed clients from ICBC the worst experience of my life. The staff barely know what they are doing.

We were forced to buy insurance for the rental car ; although through ICBC we were already insured and didnt required it .... We had got their insurance for just three days but as the car was extended with us . They kept the insurance with car without our permission and without informing us because of this we end up in PAYING 350 $ USELESSLY. So be aware of such facts.

Total SCAM artists! Picked up the car for an isurance claim. The car was dirty inside and out. They specified no pets in the car. Fair enough. Returned the car, got a phone call charging me $300 because I had “obviously” had a pet in the car. I was emphatic that there was no pet in the car, they said there was a lot of pet hair, in fact it was covered with it. I said that was not possible. Their response “probably transferred from your clothes” and that counts as pet in the car. Went down to see what “covered in pet hair” meant. There was maybe 12 dog hairs. These guys are looking for any reason to charge you extra. Take your business elsewhere.There is an Enterprise car rental office in the next building. I would give them 0 stars, but 1 is the lowest that Google will allow.

The staff was friendly and courteous upon arrival. Little noisy in that small space when you walk in with too many people talking at the same time. They put me into a vehicle quite quickly and I was on my way. Upon returning the vehicle a few days earlier then scheduled, the person I interacted with was great to talk with while waiting for my cab. Return was as easy as when I picked up the vehicle. I recommend this location for your vehicle rental :)

Go here if you want to get SCAMMED. Had the WORST experience at this LOCATION. I had to pick up a rental vehicle due to a ICBC claim, which I was not liable for. When I decided I will not be needing an insurance plan since ICBC would not cover it. HERTZ gave me a car which had hidden damages and when I brought it back, they pointed it out. Claiming I had made damages to the vehicle. They handed me a paper wanting me to fill it out to make a claim on it. I took the car back and got it fixed by a friend (Which took 15 minutes) for these petty low life's. Gave it back to them on the same day, at this point they had closed. So I parked the car there and these people still charged me for the day.
Took a rental that was returned there accidentally and joy rode it until the gas was empty. Manager unwilling to look into situation. Very aggressive and rude.

First prize for lack of professionalism, feels more like a hang out joint then a car rental place. No business etiquette at all. It's the customers fault if they don't understand what you want, it's a car rental office, I'm renting a car not an elephant. Telling customers to hurry up as they are closing in 5 mins. Well if the 5 or 6 idiots who were standing around actually did some work maybe there wouldn't be a line up. Walk if you need to but DON'T EVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE
★ Be careful here!★ I rented the 2018 Jeep at Hertz in Newton(13409 72 Ave, Surrey, BC, Canada) on 5/11. The clerk there demanded me to sign multiple copies of the papers and didn't explain the "optional service (loss damage waiver)" that would incur personal expenses in addition to the rentals covered by ICBC. And he asked me to sign it out with a couple of rental papers. And on that day (5/11) I found Hertz charged CAD $219 on my credit card, so I called Hertz and asked, "What is this?", Clerk said, "It will be disappeared from the transaction list in a few days. Don't worry." They were deceiving me. But the next day (5/12) I returned Jeep that I rented yesterday. And I rented a Nissan Alitima, and this time I did not sign an "optional service (loss damage waiver)". But they charged $ 249.72 on 5/27 when I returned the car. I didn't know, and I didn't hear explanation from clerk, why should I pay for it?' They deliberately deceived the customer. Of course, when renting a Jeep they didn't explain intentionally, I was deceived and signed, Obviously I didn't agree with the "optional service (loss damage waiver)" while renting the Nissan Altima. Hertz should not do business while cheating customers unconsciously in this way.
