I've rented vehicles all over the world and I'll say this about Clearway Car & Truck Rentals. The service is terrific and the staff are quick to serve. Even if busy the staff will greet you so you know you'll be attended to shortly. Renting here is painless. The rates are lower than I've found anywhere. Including lower than the 'big' car rental companies. I'm given different options for final payment which is a flexibility I really enjoy. The cars are clean and well-maintained. Thank you Clearway Rentals. My family and I flew across the country from Nova Scotia to enjoy the skiing/snowboarding at Sun Peaks Resort. We brought our gear and needed a large vehicle to handle the load. We ordered a full size SUV. The vehicle that we originally received was smaller than expected. After asking for a larger vehicle we were immediately accommodated by the friendly staff and after consultation with the manager, fairly treated on the new rate. When I brought my car to GM they warned me about this place yet forced me to use it. I was wrongfully charged a cleaning fee when I was accused of smoking in a rental car, when I DON'T SMOKE. This money was charged to my credit card putting me over the limit which resulted in huge charges I couldn't afford so I got hit with more charges. All in all it cost me over a thousand dollars and screwed up my credit. This is the worst business I've dealt with in my 40 years on the planet and they should be ashamed of themselves. The damage done by the greed of the people here is irreversible and Im considering litigation.

Being a former employee, I'll be brutally honest. The rental manager will go above and beyond for the customers, same with "some" of the employees that are rental agents. Company takes pride in well maintained and spotless vehicles for rent ( and purchase). Will always try to accommodate you with a vehicle of your liking. As for working there its extremely disorganized, no true leadership and more manager and supervisors than regular staff. Bottom line..... I would rent from there ( pending on who helps you) but would NEVER recommend working there!!!!

I had a really BAD experience renting the car that located in Abbotsford. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone interested in renting the car there. They charged you more than the amount you expected to pay when you signed the paperworks. They charged me 2X the amount for a day rental where you could rented the car for 2 days at other places. Be careful renting here!!! They charged you by km and DIDNT even informed to you about that in advance. This is NOT an HONEST business!! I just want to post this so others are aware of this before renting. Thanks!

I rented a truck from Clearway yesterday and it almost did not happen!!! I walked in to the Abbotsford location expecting to rent a truck and I did not bring with me my credit card ( which of course you need ) so I thought that my day was going to be ruined .. then The Amazing Cindy ( employee) turned my day around!! She started calling other DIFFERENT rental places to see if they would rent to me with just my debit card ... but none of them had the type of truck I needed for my needs. Let that sink in for a second.. she spent 10-15 min calling other people she knew from other rental places ( not clearway) knowing that her company would not make any money off me, but she wanted to go the extra mile for me ( BTW this was my first time dealing with Clearway so it’s not like I was a returning client with history). After exhausting the calls with no luck she suggested that I get a hold of a “friend “ or someone that could send the information via scanned email/PDF agreements... this took Cindy Another 20+ minutes to talk with my friend on what and how to give the information needed so I could rent that truck that I so desperately needed... Oh .. did I mention that while she was doing this she was also training an new employee and helping her with her own clients too... To say that Cindy and Clearway truck rentals went the extra Mile .. is a huge understatement!! If not for Cindy’s experience in this industry my day would have been a complete disaster.... Thank you Cindy for all your help!! P.S to the Cindy’s boss ... I hope you understand how amazing of an employee you have there ! I will rent from nowhere else from now on!!! I would not reccomend this place, they over charged for fuel in the vehicle even tho I have pictures of the kms and fuel gauge before it was parked, the guy on the phone said it was empty. And the price was more then I was quoted I rented this because I was told by the lady at the front she would give me some of the cost off.... Also was never told this was a commercial vehicle and needed to pull over at scales and cost alot more in ferry tolls...

Book a truck in Langley 1month before I needed it. Walked into Langley office at 8 am June 5 and the young lady at the counter was all smiles and had paper work ready. All they needed was my signature in and out in 15 minutes. Will use them again. Also a good rate from Langley to Cranbrook and back. Will b using them again

We were scheduled to pick up our rental car at 4pm however our flight arrived late so when we took a cab to this agency not only were they closed at 5pm they didn't warn us of their closing time not did they even try to call us to see where we were or to let us know they were closing. They didn't wait for us and they even rented our car to someone else (even though we had a three day rental reservation during a busy Nationals volleyball tournament in the area). The next day not only were they very unapologetic they wouldn't drop a car to us the next day nor would they pick us up. Worst car rental service agency I have ever used. Our host at the Brookside Inn in Abbotsford was kind enough to personally drive us to our dinner reservation that night since we were left carless.

Had to rent a car from here while mine was in the shop being repaired. Was told it would cost $40 for a day and ended up being $100. I'm assuming I was charged extra for gas because the needle wasn't past the full line but was right on it. Seems kind of stingy to me.

I phone every year looking for a passenger van. I phoned in June the woman that answers is always short and flat out rude. They say it's too early to phone in June for August, I phone in July and they are all gone. Do they not take reservations? Plus they need some customer service education regarding dealing with customers over the phone. Why cannot you not reserve online? So frustrating. Every year I try to deal with them every year I end up going to Driving Force, better prices and AMAZING service.

I have used this company a few times to rent cars and also moving trucks. I always got a bad vibe in this place. But today just sealed the decision that I will never use them again. And would not recommend to anyone. What my gut had been telling me all along, was right. I can’t say if it’s the company as a whole or if it’s just the owners of this location and how they choose to run there business. My husband called this morning as we found out a close family member was moving and the weather was going to be bad and only had a pick up truck. He inquired about and booked a 5 ton truck. Shortly after, about a half hour later, we learned that the size of truck he booked was not needed and a 1 ton would be sufficient. He called back to Clearway to change it to a 1 ton. He was put on hold, and when the girl came back on the phone, was told they didn’t have any 1 ton trucks left for today. We arrived to pick up the truck, and there were 4- 1 ton trucks sitting there. It was early in the day, so we took there word that they were being rented and didn’t inquire again. Fast forward a few hours as the move went pretty fast. We return to Clearway and the same 4-1 ton trucks are sitting there. My husband inquired as to why he was told they didn’t have a 1 ton for today when there has been 4 sitting there all day. He was told that they were not insured for the road. Which was a lie as we could see the plate decals, with insurance into next year. It’s pretty obvious what happened here. They took advantage of a customer who needed to move or help someone move. Why would they rent us a 1 ton truck when we were already willing to pay for a 5 ton! We feel totally scammed and ripped off. Never again, from this company.
