Are you purchasing a car read this before you go here in my opinion woman shouldn't go alone at least in my experience they seem to me to be rude to them at least when I went. I will never purchase from O'Regan's I have been searching for a vehicle that was big enough for my kids and dog. I was tired about being a minivan mom. We had it down to 2 the highlander and sorento. Both are beautiful vehicles. I test drove them a few times as it is a lot of money and the highlander is quite a bit more after driving them both with my husband he asked which one I said the highlander and I was asked why. I couldn't put my finger on it. But I knew that I felt safer in the highlander over the sorento and it seemed richer. He told me to go again during the week There was already trouble when I went on my own ie treated differently when alone (maybe they thought as a woman and not dressed right that I was wasting their time) Because my husband came to both Halifax and Dartmouth over the weekend and they were so nice to me that I thought that this time they would treat me better I was wrong. Kia had one nice sales person (Patrick) and highlander had one (dean). The rest were extremely rude to me when I was alone. The first time that I wanted to go on my own and show my daughter at school which was less mileage than the typical test drive the manager said no. The second time I had my daughter and wanted to take her alone Patrick seemed leery but said we needed to fill out paperwork. At the front desk he told the guy what I wanted and he asked in rude voice if the manager was okay with it Patrick said he would Go and check I was mad and said if the answer is no I am walking. Manager said yes I found one in Dartmouth 2016 which a manager drove had approximately 10000km it was 45995 my husband said offer 40500 we were willing to go up to 43000 plus purchase 7 year warranty. It took numerous times to get in touch with the guy we spoke to and I knew if we bought it I would make sure that dean from Halifax got the sale as he was nice to me. Finally got response I was told he was "too busy selling cats to get back to me". I gave him our offer he said that he would get back to me within the hour. 2 hours later I started calling and again no answer. If I didn't like the car so much I wouldn't have bothered. he called 3 hours later. He started stammering and made no sense then finally gave me the number with taxes in. I said the price didn't go down in which he replied "well the boss said the car already took a hit and that's the best number but there could be wiggle room. I then said how much should I offer then. Again he stammered and gave me the same number!!! What's up with that!! He then said well I told them you were giving a low ball offer and they won't budge. I hung up angry called my husband He told me that "You know there are more dealerships besides O'Regan's ". I didn't know that as we are from another province. I looked on line and sure enough there was. TRURO TOYOTA. I called it was like night and day. The sales representative Matthew was so nice to me. He was working late doing paperwork. I told him my story and found out that they too had a 2016 limited being driven by manager. I was given an incredible offer partly because I was. Buying a 6 year warranty and financingwas a little apprehensive because of my dealings with dealerships on my own. I drove in there was a solid sign on my vehicle. He treated me with respect. Then going in to the finance manager I couldn't believe how friendly he was. Again I shared my experience and he told me that he was in the business for over 19 years and knows that if the wife is not happy then the husband isn't either and she u go elsewhere. He is so right. I have a piece of advice for management and staff. It is a good time to start remembering how you got so big (THE CUSTOMERS!!!!!!). Think long and hard on this because it is only inevitable that you will lose more. Thanks. Hope that clears everything up As for me, I drove home with my brand new car Thank you Truro Toyota

Junk used car suppliers, when your car has a problem within the warranty period, the manager will not think about solving the problem, but shirk the responsibility. If you buy a car, they will be very enthusiastic and indifferent. If you go to repair the car , The green light certification is not worth paying extra for it. This is just to postpone the repair of the car in question. If possible, go to the surrounding town suppliers to buy as much as possible. The price is low and the service is good.

I bought a year old Toyota Yaris from O'Regan's almost three years ago. Two weeks ago, I drove over the 100,000 km mark and, as Murphy's Law would have it, a few days later, the water pump blew out causing a coolant leak and three lights to come on (my thermometer, engine and battery). I was terrified that the repair was going to cost me a fortune. I took my car into O'Regan's to have it diagnosed and was told that usually you're done with the warranty once it's over that 100k mark. My luck turned around when the service dept called me to say that it was covered thanks to a 'good will clause' since it's just over the cut off for my warranty. They ordered the part and sadly, it was on backorder but I was promised a free rental if it was over a 10 day wait. I wasn't thrilled to be without a car for that long but realized it's no one's fault. The next day, the part showed up despite the backorder issue and a few hours later, I had my car back in perfect working order with no money exchanged. I love how the service dept works (roll into the bay, hand over the keys, driven home by shuttle or taxi courtesy of O'Regan's) and how up to date they keep you as things move along. This is how all car dealers and manufacturers should treat their customers. I was already a huge Toyota fan having had an Echo as well as a Matrix in the past. But I am officially an O'Regan's customer for life as well. I even told the folks at the counter how much I would love to work there because I believe in their business so much. I am so grateful.

Since I travel a lot. Energy efficiency is very important for me and Toyota got some amazing offering. I crossed the country 4 times by car and long long car rides have become somewhat painful with my current car that I bought brand new in 2014. Since it was my official first car, I learned that to try a car you have to drive it before like you drive it day to day. The service I received was exemplary! From the suspension layout, to the transmission, to the powertrain, to the seats and the composition of the front accoustic glass I have had a customer service that frankly didn't have when I bought My car in 2014. I didn't end up buying because I have more cars I need to try before making a sound decision. Competition in hybrids or PHEV is strong and the financing rate wasn't as good as others nor did I get a good deal on the financing with up front payments. They went ahead and gave me a quote on my car. Which was more or less what I expected. Since I own it and my car has been well kept the trade-in value compared to cost of keeping the car wasn't worth it. Thank you for your excellent service and I will definitely come back after trying a few other cars.

They have a little caf e thing set up where you can get coffee for free....and if your rich enough to own a Lexus I've seen them tell the owner no charge for a can of pop....us mere Toyota owners have to pay for our pop ????????

I usually get all of my services done at Oregans Toyota & Lexus. Owning both, a Toyota Sienna, and Lexus ES350, I can afford to take my car to right place to get it repaired/maintained. Last week, I had the alignment done on my Sienna. It took more than 2 hours, but luckily they had a free cafeteria for service customers. I took advantage of that, and enjoyed Red Bull, Pepsi, and Bakery for myself (Yes, Pepsi & Red Bull isn't a great combination). These guys have also once cracked my windshield on my Sienna, but replaced it with an aftermarket windshield. Most people are nice, except those who hate their jobs and just are there for the money.

frustrating experience buying parts here,, i ordered a body part for a prius and it didnt fit, when i tried to returned it they refused due to missing plastic bag it was wrapped in, i had the receipt and dealt with the same young woman both times but she said she didnt remember selling it,, the most frustrating part was her attitude, she clearly couldn't care less, bitter, snappy and hateful to deal with,, really felt like i was putting her out to do her job,, same unpleasant experience both times, when i bought the part and when i tried to return it,, didnt even try to order the correct part for me, or ask what was wrong with it,, its not like i looked it up and ordered it wrong,, i gave them the serial number to the car, and i get that we all make mistakes ,, and neither that or the 2 drives there and spending money for nothing bothered me the most,, it was dealing with this individual!,, i'll throw it in the garbage and order one else where,, never again there,,

Trying to buy your first car isn't so easy, without a significant amount of borrowing history it made things tricky but Andre James made things happen. Being young has its disadvantages when in the car buying process, however I walked away with the keys to a brand new Toyota Corolla. One key reason I bought brand new was to avoid any surprising maintenance for a while but unfortunately I got two flat tires. Nothing from the manufacturer or dealership end, you cant blame nails on the side of the road on them. However, both tires in and out in a quick and more importantly, FREE service both times. Hats off to the folks from the sales and service teams and to everyone else at O'Regan's Toyota Halifax.

I live in NB and was looking to trade in my vehicle for one of the used vehicles they had on their lot. I contacted them through their website and got a response quite promptly. I was asked to send pictures of my vehicle since I live out of province and driving down to have them look at it would have been about 5 hrs of driving total. After receiving the pictures I was contacted by Dennis Foley quickly about what they could give me for my car as seen on pics, and how much the used car would be with taxes in ect. I had to go to the bank still to talk money and Dennis was very courteous on waiting for me and even set the vehicle aside. With my work schedule the only day I could meet was a Sunday and the dealership is usually closed, but they made an exception for me. I was so happy with the service I received from Dennis, I have never had such an easy time with a vehicle purchase, ESPECIALLY since I was from out of province. I bought a new Camry a few weeks ago from Ryan and during a late night tire install at Costco, the lock nuts were nowhere to be found.I called Ryan at 8pm from Costco Bayer's Lake explaining situation. He left Toyota immediately and brought lock nut to Costco Bayer's Lake within 15 mins, without speeding ???? . If you're anything like me, when you think of a car salesman, what comes to mind is some shifty Honest Abe's type who is less interested in selling you a car and more interested in making a commission. It's stressful, because in the back of your mind, you're constantly wondering if this is actually going to work out, or if you're about to drive off the lot with a lemon you realistically can't justify the cost of. Andre James is not that guy. Here's the thing about Andre - O'Regan's might be who pays his bills, but as soon as you sit down at Andre's desk, he is 100% working for you. He spends the time to get to know you, your situation, and what you need from a vehicle. It is no secret that Andre's priority is making sure that YOU are successful in your car purchase, from test drive to delivery. The man doesn't overlook a single detail. And John Harkiolakis? My guy. What a breeze to deal with. Again, John is someone who is committed to making sure that the financial side of a car purchase is a sustainable situation for you. He left no stone unturned in order to make sure I could complete my trade-in and sign a contract. Between these two, I drove off the lot in a vehicle that's a great fit, a payment that works in my budget, and a good feeling about the huge financial decision I'd just made. My name is William Lawrence I have been a loyal customer of the express Drive Through Oil Changes for 5yrs. I showed at 7:30am October 9th to get a oil change and was turned away by the female service advisor. She told me I needed an appointment and to return at 3pm. I notified the service manager Adam who returned my email service inquiry promptly. I just want to inform other customers of my experience so they dont experience the same. I was given no reason by the female service Advisor as to why I needed an appointment. But the service Mgr. returned my email telling me it was due to limited waiting space due to covid. Wanted me to sign my name to an offer when I was telling him, that besides the fact I would want to talk to my spouse first, I had only come in to get some numbers and ask some questions. My wife and I each bought a vehicle from O'Regans Toyota at the same time: a 2016 RAV4 and a 2016 Prius. In the end, this was a case of many promises being made just to make a sale with no follow through. First, we were both offered a special price of $399 +tax for Permaguard rustproofing. My wife received this without issue. When I went to pick up my car, however, they told me they could only offer $50 off. I told the salesperson Kyle Johnson who got us the discounted price in the first place and he merely referred me to Denise Barkhouse in finance. I told Denise what I had been offered and she re-iterated the $50 off offer. It wasn't until I advised her I would be speaking to the manager that she actually offered me the $399 deal (which I was promised by the salesperson). Second, during the ordering of the vehicles I asked about a few accessories for my Prius. Mr. Johnson told me he could get me these parts at cost, "better yet, I can get them at MY cost" he said. When the parts arrived I compared his cost to the Toyota advertised price and the savings totalled $7. This was not the discount I had in mind when we spoke during the ordering of the car. More "make the sale" promises. And finally, not a big deal but a customer request that any reputable organization would have taken seriously. Before my car even left Japan I informed Mr. Johnson numerous times that I did not want a dealer ID sticker applied to the car. On the day before I was to pick up the car I reminded him again. I picked up my keys on the day of the sale and went to get in my car. I looked at the back of the car and there was the dealer sticker. I phoned Mr. Johnson who told me he had told Toyota several times not to apply this sticker. I'm not sure what the truth of the matter is at this point. So, I had to waste my time driving up to Permashine myself to have this sticker removed. The day I picked up my car I submitted the paperwork through Denise Barkhouse. She was very unfriendly, hardly made eye contact with me and seemed to just want me out of her office. Whether this was a result of me saying I would speak to her manager or not is unknown. When my wife picked up her car she was taken out to the vehicle, given a tour of the features, basically they rolled out the red carpet for her. When I picked up my car, I was given my keys and not even escorted to my car, let alone thanked for my purchase. And, to top it all off, I get to my car to find something not done that I had asked for numerous times. This sums up my experience with O'Regans Toyota. This was the worst buying experience I have ever had with a dealership. What I have outlined highlights the unprofessionalism and lack of customer service from this dealership. My advice to anyone reading this, stay away from O'Regans Toyota and buy your vehicle from another dealership. They are not worth your time.

I really can honestly say this was my best experience buying a car. Keeping in mind it was going to be my first purchase, I was going in really nervous and overwhelmed. But luckily Toyota and everyone in there and the manager took care of me and made it a smooth experience. While I haven’t had any experience dealing with the sales department, almost every visit to this dealership’s parts and service departments have turned into a issue. While I have had two successful oil and filter changes, I have also once been forgotten by the service department for four hours while waiting in the waiting area for my car’s MVI to be completed (they kept telling me it was almost done), they ordered the wrong airbag for my vehicle’s recall resulting in two trips and over a month of waiting, and after the airbag was finally replaced I found that the evaporator hose had been knocked off during the process resulting in water flooding the interior of my car (had repaired elsewhere to avoid the $110 diagnosis fee), and finally I ordered some special-order parts for my vehicle and on picking them up I found the part that was ordered by the parts department doesn’t even exist on my car - but couldn’t be returned. One more trip to get the right ones...yet again! Needless to say, while once a strictly dealer-service kind of guy, I’ve been motivated to seek out other methods.

I'm so disappointed with the service. I bought the 2019 highlander in December 2019 and only drove 10K. The engine of the car shut down yesterday, I am so scared because it just lost control on the road. I called road side assistant immediately; the car was towed to oregans Toyota halifax. I went to the service today, they were very arrogant. A 7-year ECP was bought which includes rental benefit. The service just told me they don't have any rental car and send me back. Then what’s the point of purchasing the ECP? My daily life has been affected by the engine problem of the car; and their arrogance made me feel even worse. No clear feedback was given from them. I am so disappointed with service. I love my Toyota, but the service is terrible.

I originally had a 4 star.... but lower it due to a recent poor experience with service department . I received a call that service was needed to adjust/lubricate the brake pads and an additional charge of $66 after tax would be charged for brake maintenance for my sons car. It's only 66$, but when I asked about pad replacement it was identified it wasn't replacement but fixing the pad as it was stuck. The car has a maintenance package that covers all maintenance but wear items. I identified this to the customer service rep indicating this wasn't corrective maintenance. She replied that she could wave the cost this time but the next servicing I would need to pay. I paid the 66$ and left. If the parts don't fit correctly in a brand new car with original brakes this is a Toyota design issue.....hmmmm I wonder. This is a small example of what I could expect in future visits ... Thankfully this was a small bill not worthy of an argument. More feedback with later visits will result in future edits to the review.

I would like to start with saying this is honestly the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. They are money grabbers and do not care about the customer service. All they care about is getting paid and once you pay no one wants to talk to you after or hear your issues. Here is a break down of the struggle I’ve had with this dealer ship “My car is eligible for a fixing because of a recall but in order to fix it, a consumption test has to be done before that. Which is a two steps test, first you change the oil and then you come back after 1900km to get the results. So I went on September and did the oil change and then i came back after 1900km, my car has failed, which means that it should be repaired. I was told by the staff Emily and Justin, that i would receive a call after they get a letter from Toyota dealer and it wouldnt be longer than a week. Three weeks goes by and i didn’t receive a call. I called and i was told that theres another step has to be done to my car and that i should drive by the dealer for 5 minutes so they can get the last step done. I took time off work so i can go there and then Justin tells me that theres no other step needed and that there is no record shows that i came to them after i changed my oil “the first step”. I talked to the manager and supervisor, they answered by telling me that they can’t help me with it. Manager didn’t even tell me that he would sit down with his employees to discuss this matter. So after i got no results from their manager i called the head office in Toronto, i filed a complaint and i was told that i have to do the test again which will be for free. I booked an appointment with the same dealer, i go there and no one bothered to apologizing for their mistakes. I did the test and then some emergencies came up and i had to move to Ottawa, i gave them a call to ask if i can do the second step in Ottawa and they said as long as its in the range of kms, i should be fine. Now I arrived to ottawa and i went to the dealers here. They said that both steps of the test has to be done at the same dealer! And that i have to do the test again and pay for it. I called the head office again, justien was talking to me rudely. She said that she cant do anything about it and yes i have to pay for the test again. This is unacceptable and unprofessional, the worst experience i ever had

I want to thank O'Regan's for their excellent repair service team; specifically the great mechanics and Keely, my customer service rep. I live in Montreal and drove down with my family for the Christmas holidays. The day before we were supposed to drive back, I got a hybrid system error message. The car would not even start. O'Regan's was able to discover that I had an outstanding recalhl on the hybrid system. They ordered the part and repaired my car, saving me thousands! Although I had to fly my family home while I waited over the weekend for the part, I consider myself lucky. They even lent me a vehicle. Outstanding! I felt with used cars sales staff and I know it's impossible to know about all cars but I felt more effort could have been put into understanding the car they were trying to sell me. looking to buy a new truck. they didn't have any Tacomas and they looked "everywhere" else for one for us but couldn't find one anywhere. told us we would have to wait up to 2 months on order. they wouldn't even try to give us any kind of deal because they're demand was so high. We walked out, made one call to Bridgewater Toyota and got the truck we wanted and the price we wanted with no fuss and great customer service. We had to get our bed cap installed at the halifax dealer. the cap was shipped to them from Bridgewater and the halifax dealer lost it! then we finally got our appointment made. we waited at the appointment, which they said would take 45 minutes and it took them 2 hours. what is wrong with them we'll never know cause we won't be bringing our money here again.
