(Translated) Came here to hand in our RV. Went super fast and before we knew it we were in the van towards the airport. (Original) Kwamen hier om onze RV in te leveren. Ging super snel en voor we het wisten zaten we in het busje richting de luchthaven.
(Translated) Super. Top staff. Top vehicles. Honest and easy vehicle pick-up and delivery. The app definitely needs to be improved. Search function e.g. There are no free dump stations. Otherwise highly recommended. (Original) Super. Top Personal. Top Fahrzeuge. Ehrlich und einfach die Fahrzeugübernahme und Abgabe. Die App muss unbedingt verbessert werden. Suchfunktion z.b. Fehlen tun freie Dump Stations. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert.
Yes, I was a guest and return a MHA ON Aug 28th. When we first arrived, having spoken to a pleasant lady, the checkout was going well until Connie came along. I had to tell her to her face that she was quite rude. She said we were late though we got there at 3:55pm and the other lady tried explaining to her that we got there before 4pm. Then she got of the phone speaking German to someone hoping I didn't understand German. When I was time for the airport dropoff, she said there was no local taxi that can take us 7 of us to the airport and we may need to wait for an hour to get a taxi from the airport. Eventually they got a local taxi that had to do 2 trips then she she they will be paying for only 1 of the trips. I wouldn't recommend the Halifax team to anyone.
Great service and RV's! I did a lot of research on companies to rent from for our recent Family RV Adventure. I landed on Canadream (Halifax outlet) and am happy I did. They couldn't have been better to deal with. Great communication leading up to the day, on the pick up day and return day. We (two families) rented two 26 + units and they were both in great shape (almost new) and we had no issues on our 2000 km adventure. Book with confidence. Thanks Willie, Robin and the rest of Canadream team in Halifax!
Best customer service ever!! The RV was very good and the service tremendous...thanks for unforgettable holidays
Great people to deal with but the cost to rent is just to much, I would always call and give them a chance as they are a good company, with great RV's... maybe if it was a little bit cheaper more people would justify spending the money
Beware of their Fall Special! No matter which vehicle type you booked and received a confirmation for, you will get an MH-type unit (the largest and only type that is winterized) as Canadream claims they need to be winterized because of "unusual cold temperatures in the Maritimes" starting at the beginning of October - complete nonsense! You will find this out upon arriving at their base in the middle of nowhere - too late to cancel. Canadream does not deem it appropriate to inform you during the booking process or immediately after that MH are the only units available. We are wondering why the booking of anything but MH units is actually possible at all during the fall?! If you did not book an MH unit and insist on getting what you booked, they make you sign that you will not use any water because of risk of freezing the lines. Apparently, if you still use water (because temperatures are nowhere near freezing), they happily fine you for it. Even though the fall special can be booked all through October and until November 6th (at the time of our booking; we asked them to be fair and update their website) with all types of units showing available, we were made aware during our vacation that Canadream has the right to disregard your choice of vehicle at any time and allocate you any RV they want - just read Clause 8 of their Terms & Conditions in case you haven't studied them when booking! No truck campers are available in Halifax at all. If you booked the Run of Fleet 2 (Canadream choses your vehicle out of their three smallest type units) like we did, this will be another information omitted and will come as a surprise upon arrival. The behavior of the staff in Halifax made it clear that many customers have complained about this deceiving offer by Canadream this year and we also met other campers during our trip who complained about the same. Lengthy email conversations with their customer rep will leave you ridiculed as they claim that the unit you received is only 6 inch shorter than the largest they were entitled to give you as part of the Run of Fleet 2. What a nonsense again. As we were only two people, we were very unhappy with this so called "upgrade" because we simply did not need or want the extra space and beds (we found the bed above the driver seats annoyingly in our field of vision) and driving an oversized vehicle that fits exactly into your lane is more tiring than necessary. Parking and cruising through small towns was sometimes impossible or made very difficult due to the length of the unit. We had to skip certain hikes in Cape Breton because the RV was not allowed or did not fit into the parking spaces. You will be charged more on ferries and campgrounds that charge by length. With all this, the mice we had going through our food (don't use the drawers for food storage!) were a nice extra and at least one thing that could not have been prevented by Canadream. Very disappointing experience.
We loved our 28' rv. Well appointed. Great way to enjoy our region during a pandemic.
(Translated) Very friendly staff (Original) Zeer vriendelijk personeel
We did a very thorough diligence of RV rental options in Nova Scotia and Canadream clearly came out ahead from a value perspective. After spending more than a month on the road with them, I'd highly recommend them from a quality perspective as well. I'll add a shoutout to the Halifax location manager, Willy, who was amazing and really helped us make the pick up and drop off process as seamless as could be.
Thank you so much Canadream Elmsdale. My wife and I had the best vacation. The staff was the best, so friendly and knowledgeable. Will rent from again.I cannot say enough great things about the whole experience.
(Translated) Very friendly staff! The vehicles are well maintained and technically top. A few things are missing in the furnishings, such as camping chairs and a small hinged table. That's too bad. Otherwise great experience. (Original) Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter! Die Fahrzeuge sind gut gewartet und technisch top. Ein paar Sachen bei der Einrichtung fehlen, wie zum Beispiel Campingstühle und ein kleiner aufklappbarer Tisch. Das ist sehr schade. Sonst super Erlebnis.
We picked up our RV in Dartmouth NS and the staff were wonderful to deal with. They went over details of all we'd need to know about our RV before we left. We had a great time traveling! It had a powerful engine so even on some challenging roads we had no trouble at all. Drop off was at the same location and went so smoothly we were in and out in under half an hour! We will be traveling this way from now on!! Thank you
(Translated) We rented an MH-A from the Toronto station. After the takeover, the manual states that you have to organize an oil change every 8000km. After 2000km the time had come to change the oil. Now find out who is unfamiliar with the location (between December 24th and December 26th who can change the oil on a RV) After countless inquiries from Ford, Jiffy Loop, etc., we were always canceled because the vehicle was too high. Then we got the number of the station manager Halifax. One call and we were given friendly advice. After the tips of the manager didn't work either, he simply interrupted his vacation, drove a few cars out of the hall, and made the oil change on the RV. In addition, his wife filled the water tank for us. We were also able to dump you. Conclusion after 3 of 6 weeks MH-A: The vehicle is in perfect condition, everything works! We are now 5000km away and are just thrilled! I can recommend Canadream to everyone! And to the team in Halifax, thanks again for your support (Original) Wir haben ein MH-A von der Station in Toronto gemietet.
