Very very poorly run school. This could be a good school but there are a few tyrants that worked their way to the top and have ruined the place. If you are thinking of going here be prepared to be treated like you are 11. The lack of professionalism and favoritism by the administration will make you sick. The main issue with this school are the people that are in management positions especially the ones directly involved with the officer cadets. Most of the people that "teach" or are in management positions have not actually worked in the coast guard. Overall just know what u are getting yourself into.

Wish I could give negative stars. Horrible, wretched place that strips all joy from living and just makes you a mindless zombie, following ridiculous routines and rules put in place by bureaucratic fools who never experienced life on ship. I would much prefer being sent to a Siberian Gulag than to ever go back to this "school". Only positive thing I have to say is that the fellow students and some of the teachers were absolutely golden people, although some teachers were only there because of experience and not because of merit. If you value your mental health and if you respect yourself, I would avoid this place at all costs. Only masochists would enjoy the 4 years spent in this special layer of hell. Massive change needs to come to this place, because the great institution that is the Canadian Coast Guard deserves better than this sorry excuse for a college. I could go on and on about how soul-suckingly bad this place is, but I think I made my point clear. Avoid at ALL costs.
