The rental car I received was dirty and smelled of day old McDonald's. They also rented the insurance company a car at the wrong location (because of availability) and I had to find a ride to a different location.

Absolute worst experience ever renting a vehicle. Set up reservation for 30 days at 7:30 am for pick up at 9 am for a very important meeting. When I arrived I was told by employee that there are no vehicles available. Interesting...thanks for taking my reservation. From there, I was told no issues, will contact you when a vehicle is available. It's now well past closing and no phone call, missed an important meeting without being able to re-schedule. Was told that I would only need 50 for a deposit. When I went to pick up the car I had cash. Well according to the worker they don't take cash and do not advertise that. I had 60 in my account and all the cash on me. So I could not get the insurance but told the worker I wanted it and asked if they could put the charge through in about 20 mins after I ran to the bank. The worker told me it would be possible to delay it. No mention of bringing the car back in or anything. Other places allow you to pay at the end. Well I got hit by a hit and run and took the car back in. Was told I would have been required to bring the car back in for inspection if I wanted the insurance after a point and that they cannot delay the charge . Now I'm waiting for a manager because it is on my estimate. Was told I would recieved a call on Friday. Never got one. Mind you i made it clear that if he wasnt able to talk to a supervisor i still wanted a call by the end of husiness day on friday to inform me of that and he said absolutely. Call today and was told the guy left a note for when I called back that the manager would be in on Wednesday. Workers are not true to their word and customer service is terrible. Bith men i have spoken to have not followed through or have given incorrect information. I should not be effected by incompitent workers. Will not use hertz again. My boyfriend uses enterprise. They have wonderful service and don't lie when they mess up. On the other hand, car was nice but tires are not great for buffalo's winters.

I wish I could give them less then one star... I am not the type of person to usually do this, but their service is horrible! Do they even clean the vehicles?? The person at the front desk will try and sell you a "one time fee of $15 for the rental insurance" and it will end up being a per day fee!! Then when West Herr takes forever on your truck/car you will end up paying an enormous amount?!? This place is horrible, and I will never rent from them again! I will be telling everyone this until I die!

Horrible service. Employee Cassie at Camp Rd Hamburg is incompetent and rude. Was told a compact car was the closest thing available (at any WNY Hertz location) comparable to my large SUV. Car was filthy and had garbage in it from the previous renter including all rental paperwork. Nice to know Hertz doesn’t clean their cars between renters, during a pandemic and all. Returned the car immediately the next morning and went with a different rental company.

Do not rent from here. I mistakenly believed they charged my card for the rental when I returned it. They waited 2 weeks after I returned my rental before charging me. When I asked customer service if they could hold off on billing for 5 days (considering they waited 2 weeks to charge me) so that I would actually have the money to pay them, they said they didn't have the capabilites to do that so my account was overdrawn and I dont have the money to pay my bills on Monday. Not to mention my reservation was for a mid size and they gave me a compact that was covered in mud inside and out. With paperwork from the previous renter in the glove box

Have been renting from Hertz for the Last Few Months for Business purposes, on average I keep the cars for 1 - 2 Weeks.....This is the first rental I've experienced a LATE FEE FOR KEEPING A CAR AN EXTRA WEEK......OK HERTZ....LET'S MAKE THE MONEY FOR THE RENTAL AND CHARGE YOU A LATE FEE OF $60 for keeping it an additional WEEK.......WHAT'S THAT!!

When almost all of the local Enterprise Offices unable to fulfill the reservation made by my insurance company, I used Hertz as a backup. I am floored by Leslie's personal touch and capable manner with which she handles each and every customer, most notably myself. I don't eavesdrop, but just while I was in line, even, an elderly gentlemen with a thick accent was ahead of me and having a lot of difficulty with something in the paperwork set up by another office. He said he's been dealing with this for several days and he couldn't get any help. It seemed like he fell in some sort of exception of a crack, but she handled it within mere minutes. I don't rent cars often, but from now on, when I do, I'll be a Hertz Man. Thank you Hertz, and Leslie, for everything you've done. This was a very, very, very difficult time for me.
