Do Not Go the Sammy's for a Hertz Rental! I arrived and was told my prepaid rental could not be processed. My Husband supposedly had to rent the vehicle at twice the cost of my prepaid rental and then add me as an additional driver. On top of that, my refund for the initial rental was never processed, my husband was charged for 2 additional days, and Sammy's told us that they couldn't process anything because they are not Hertz. Still in process with telephone customer support and billing after 4 phone calls.

I would not recommend this location as a Hertz rental agency. Like the reviewer before me, the car I was given was disgusting. It had clearly not been cleaned. Interior had dirt all over it and smelled like cigarettes. Exterior had cobwebs all over it. Like the kind that means it's been sitting unused for months. Even the driver's side door had tons of webs. Since this location is also a car repair shop, I honestly thought that I was given the keys to the wrong car. The car was old, not like any rental I've ever gotten before, and I rent cars with some regularity. In contrast to the reviewer before me, I had a pleasant experience with staff here. Everyone was wearing a mask. I asked to have the car switched for another and they were very apologetic but said they had no other cars on location. This is apparently a satellite location, not a main Hertz location. They directed me to the Pearl St location, where I was able to get the car swapped out for another, which was a new and clean car with a "Gold clean seal" sticker on the doors to show it has been properly covid cleaned. The Pearl St location is not too far away, so I would recommend going to that one instead of the one inside Sammy's. Even though everyone was very nice and helpful, I couldn't actually believe the state of the car that I was given, and it was a pain to have to get it switched at another location. Hope that helps anyone looking to rent here.

Great location (Pearl St. Location)conveniently located in Downtown Buffalo compared to previous locations I have Rented from before. Great Cosumer Service and car was clean and ready to Go had another awesome weekend Renting with Hertz.

I honestly wish I could give a zero. DO NOT RENT HERE. First, I went through the trouble of reserving a car and paying ahead for the car to not be available the day of pick up. The car they gave me had steering wheel issues, the windshield wipers did not work proper and I had to drive through heavy rain and the rearview mirror would not stay in place. Then I just miss the drop off time on Friday, so I could not return it until Monday when they next open and get charged for each extra day AND a late fee. That's ridiculous. If I cannot return it because you are not open, why am I getting charged. It is not like you are missing out on production since you would not be open to give the car to anyone anyway AND you charge a late fee. Yet, I give you guys more gas then what I was give and that is not taken into consideration about pricing? DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. And they put this huge sticker on the car advertising there cleanliness, yet the car was filthy. l had to wipe the dashboard to see while the sun was out due to streak marks.

BEWARE....DON'T TRUST HERTZ advertisement about cleaning their cars according to CDC guidelines. I wish I could give this Hertz location a zero!!!! The car that I rented recently was extremely nasty and unsanitary inside and out. I felt extremely uncomfortable driving the vehicle the whole time I had the car. I had to clean the car out myself with my own antibacterial wipes. I did notify Hertz before leaving the parking lot about the nasty condition of the vehicle. They did NOTHING!!!! I hope this doesn't affect my health. Also, the lady that delivered the car and keys to me was not wearing a mask. She not only put my health in jeopardy but she broke the NYS law. Her actions let me know she just didn't care about nobody. Not only that, the car she gave me had high mileage, ran poorly, made unusual noises, and the car was not mechanically maintained. I also contacted HERTZ Customer Service and they did nothing. I think this company has filed for bankruptcy and this may play a HUGE factor in their very poor care to customers. RUN!!!! Rent somewhere else if you care about your health and safety.

I never use the same car rental agency for obvious reasons, but the level of customer service at this location may make me change my patterns. I rented a very large, yet totally nondescript vehicle with more than enough room for my special cargo. This vehicle was equipped with “weather tec” floor mats that really came in handy. I highly recommend
