Booked through easycar as cheapest option in terminal. Picked up quickly, paid price agreed, and delivery back very quick and efficient. Chap gave me a receipt at the car showing no damage or charges. I think those with bad experiences don't understand the rules of car rental. Check the car over carefully on collection, and get proof of check when you drop it off. Then deliver it back with a full tank, covered in mud, and the seats covered in an inch of crumbs.

Amazing helpful and pleasant staff! No pushy upsell...just presented facts about insurance etc and then continued to provide amazing service. I had to drive to Moncton during a snow event and they were very helpful and made sure I had a great vehicle. a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to rent from them again! by far the most positive rental experience I've had in a long time.

Arrived at the help desk 10 minutes before my reservation, rep asks for my credit card and license all straight forward and what i'm used to, but then asked for my cell phone number and calls me right there to make sure I gave them the right number. Then as they are punching in my license # on their system she spend 15 minutes doing that with no update but says she has to call her supervisor. Turns out my license what showing 'incomplete' and tells me I won't be able to rent the car today. Only after me saying there is nothing wrong with my license does she try one more time and *bam* no issues. I'm pretty sure they were typing in my license # the whole time. They also asked my age because they said "I was about to charge you extra for being under 25..." not professional at all. 30-40 minutes later I was on the road with a 90% full tank of gas. After I filled it later did I realize there was about 100km of range lost cause the tank wasn't filled. I phoned to say I'm going to fill it how I saw it, but didn't hear back from someone. The rep was also trying to encourage me to do the auto fill tank option to the tune of $4.00 a litre. That scared me enough that I just filled it as normal, easily $10 out of pocket on my end to fill it more than when I got it there. Overall bad service and could not discourage people from going to Dollar or Thrifty at the hotel downtown enough.

They don't even deserve a star. Poor services from the beginning to the end. They try to steal from customers at all cost. Their quote didn't much receipt in anyway. This is a warning to everyone to be careful of this car rental company

Don't believe everything you read. This place is amazing the staff are wonderful. The cars are top rate as well as the service. Located downtown in the Westin I highly recommend this place. Very thorough and wonderful to deal with. I read some bad reviews but they're absolutely not true. I rented a car for 3 weeks and they did everything they could for me. I give them a 10 out of 10. Great service, wonderful cars and their price it's number one.

Would choose another place to rent a vehicle. I think insurance was pricy ($32/day). Found it interesting that they require to bring a gas station receipt from within 10 km radius unless you choose to let them refill the tank in the end.

I am beyond livid! I made my appointment and received my itinerary, confirming my reservation. I arrive to pick the car up and the employee counter says "We have a problem. We don't have enough cars for people that set the registration today." When I mentioned I had my confirmation she said her manager would not let her release a vehicle to me. I was left with NO transportation and luckily Hertz was able to assist me at a much higher cost. I wasn't offered NO compensation and barely an apology. This is NOT OK and I am looking for someone from the office to contact me and make this right.

I came up for my Grandmother's COVID funeral and I needed a rental car. I went online and saw a Chevy Spark and I was intrigued by an EV. I got there and they gave me a Toyota Corolla. I took the car even though it wasn't what I wanted. I only took one day because I lost my card and needed to use a different one. I was told that I could pay my card and extend the rental. I was not told that the extension would be an increase from 89 dollars a day to 200 a day. I turned my car in and went to Enterprise. My suggestion would be, don't get tempted by the low rates at dollar. They aren't real. Just pay the higher rate at Enterprise. In the long run it will be cheaper and easier.

This was the worst car rental I have ever had. Yes it was a few dollars cheaper, but definitely not worth the service that came along with it. The car had a very strong smoke smell. Customer service was very unhelpful and disrespectful. I will never rent with them again. I don't care if it save me $20.

Great experience. Check-in was a little slow as I had a 20 minute delay which surprised me as I booked this vehicle ahead of time but otherwise was great. Friendly service both picking the car up and dropping it off. Super efficient drop-off. We had barely got out of the vehicle and someone was there checking the car over and in minutes I was given a receipt and said that's all .. have a great day

We had a bad experience renting from Dollar. The vehicle itself was fine. When we returned home after our vacation we received a toll fine of $11 with a Dollar service charge of $89.91. This is a charge of over 8 times the toll charge. At Pensacola beach, the tolls says to roll through and not to stop, so we did expect to pay the $1 toll times 11 trips through, or $11, but not with the additional $89.91 fine for being a DOLLAR CUSTOMER. Also, We had rented through Expedia, and at the beginning of our vacation, when we arrived at the Dollar counter we had to sign papers, switch credit cards and re-negotiate the rental as if we were not Dollar customers. It seems that Dollar does not coordinate well with major travel companies Expedia, Orbitz. Beware Dollar Car Rental!

Beware the toll administrative fee scam that Dollar has going on!!! I did a one day car rental here at Syracuse Airport to attend a friend's funeral. The agent at the counter never mentioned anything about tolls, or the fact that there is no longer a cash option to pay tolls on the NY Thruway, much less took the time to explain how they assess an "administrative fee" on top of any tolls you incur through their EZPass system. After I returned home, I received two bills from Dollar with tolls totaling approximately $9.00 plus five separate "administrative fees" of $15 each. I'm sure the language is probably buried somewhere in the contract, so now I'm forced to pay a total of $75 in "administrative fees" plus the toll I incurred. This is how they assess their "administrative fee". Every time you pass through an electronic toll reader, (maximum of 6 times/fees per day) Dollar applies an "administrative fee" of $15. For example, I am looking at the last bill I received and it states that at 4:55am I passed through a toll reader and incurred a toll charge of $6.84 to which they added their $15 administrative fee". Two minutes later, at 4:57am, there is another toll registered of 14 cents plus a $15 "administrative fee'. Three minutes later, at 5:00am, there is another toll charge of 23 cents plus a $15 "administrative fee". In my opinion, this is an unethical practice and should be illegal. In fact, Dollar had a class action lawsuit filed against them in FL a few years ago for this unscrupulous practice but apparently are undeterred and brazenly continuing the practice. I will never rent from Dollar or its parent company Hertz again if I have any alternative option.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! Expect to wait at least 2 hours in line and then wait another 2 hours to get a car even after having a paid reservation. Absolutely ridiculous, don’t ever come here. Also the employees ( only 2 employees in a line of over 100 ppl) act like they’re the ones standing and waiting in line with their attitudes.

The location experience was 5 stars. The online booking was disappointing, vague, unclear, consequential, so make that 2.5 stars. We booked a pick up and return to the same location. When we called the 800 number to speak with a human to request a change the rental return location, it was accepted and confirmed; when we checked back online and with the local office it wasn't there. We had already made a week's plans around the separate drop off location. Yeah there's a global rental car shortage, but for this experience we found Enterprise online booking unreliable. If they had less than a full star, I would use that! Told 1 price, verified it 3 times including at pickup. Price doubled when we returned the car. Spoke with their customer service. Waste of time. Now we have declined the overage charge of $250.00 on our credit card, and have to go thru the legals. Never use them again!

Rented a car from them today. Or at least tried to. When booking the car a week ago I read through the terms and agreements 7 times to make sure I was eligible to rent from them, all was fine. Fast forward to this morning and we arrive at Dollar, which is inconvenient to find by the way. They opened at 7:30AM and we arrived at 7:40AM and not a single clerk was in sight. They eventually showed up 5 minutes before our rental booking at 7:55AM, and didn't even acknowledge us. When we approach her she takes our licence and tells us after a call to her manager that she cannot rent to us due to a restriction on the licence?? We told her that it says nowhere on the site that people with restricted licence would not be able to rent from them and that we would like a refund. She said she can't do anything and "if we listed every restriction we can't rent to the list would be pages long" and gives us a number to a third party to call and discuss with them. Fine. We're annoyed but she can't do anything. We call the number and she takes our confirmation code and tells us she can't issue a refund cause the rental expired 11 minutes ago! We tell her we showed up for the rental and that they are refusing to rent to us and she basically tells us tough luck and if we wanted anything done that we had to file a complaint! So this company has us jumping through loops and has charged us the full price for a car they can't give us and refused to acknowledge that it says no where in the terms and conditions about restricted licence! Don't rent from them. They're rude. They're taking advantage of a 22 year old couple who just wanted to go home for a week cause we live over 400km away and charged us 150$ for a car they won't give us.

I rented a car from these people and was told I will be charged 348.43. I was billed 501.12. I was told that it was a deposit that will be refunded upon returning of the car. I returned the car and they couldn’t produce a receipt do to computer problems. They told me it will be available online after seven days. One month later still not available online it showed 0. After numerous calls I finally got an invoice but for the wrong amount ,It finally showed up and it’s 501.12. After numerous phone calls they finally adjusted it and gave me an invoice with the correct amount 348.43. However when I disputed it with my credit card company dollar car rental resubmitted the old and wrong invoice for 501.12. I sent the bank the correct invoice of 348.43. Now dollar car rental says I breached their cancellation policy??????? At least that’s what they told the bank. I responded no it was an actual rental it’s just the amount that’s wrong. This is been going on since August and I’m not letting it go, trust and believe there will be no business given to these people ever again.

A huge thank you to Dollar/Thrifty for the free upgrade * WOW ! * a 2019 Dodge Challenger fully loaded w leather interior, Alpine 506 watt stereo, sunroof, keyless entry, heated / vented seats, XM radio and Navigation. Excellent start to my 10 days in Halifax. Loyalty certainly has it's perks at Dollar/Thrifty car rental. Update Oct 6 /19 . Once again the Stanfield airport Dollar / Thrifty car rentals location provided an exceptional vehicle that was clean and fully equipped. A huge thank you to all the staff from pick up to drop off, all very professional and courteous as always. I would rate this location absolutely 5 stars and I highly recommend.

Once the keys were obtained we were in a parking lot: the car was not present. No explanation was given to us on the operation of the machine, the staff was unfriendly when we asked for their help, no GPS, and no paper map was made available to guide us. On the return of the vehicle, no place to park the car and The staff still so unhelpful! (Original) Nous avons atterri à l'aéroport de Catane , il a fallu attendre 40 minutes si ce n'est plus pour avoir la voiture que nous avions réservée plusieurs mois à l'avance. Une fois les clés obtenues nous avons été sur un parking: la voiture n'était pas présente. Aucune explication nous a été donnée sur le fonctionnement de lá machine, le personnel etait peu aimable lorsque nous avons sollicité leur aide, pas de GPS ,et aucun plan papier n'a été mis à notre disposition pour s'orienter . Au retour du véhicule , aucune place pour stationner la voiture et Le personnel toujours aussi peu serviable !

So I reserved a car for Dec 27 to Dec 30. My flight was delayed. I called the rental car agency to let them know that my flight was delayed, no one answered the phone. I also put my flight info in the rental just in case. I arrived at the airport and low and behold the rental agency was closed and there was no way for me to get a car. But I was saved by another rental car agency (All Vehicles In Stock) and they were able to get me on my way. Maybe this is why they are going out of business.

Rubbish. Does not respond to emails. One customer service rep told me I can ignore the email I received about car damage claims as I complained about the photos attached being suspicious. But almost a month later, another person sent me an email saying I owe them money for the car damage.

It was my 1st time renting a car under my name and everything went as expected. A Dollar representative wasn’t there at the moment but I was helped by Hertz. Price was a match with a Corolla that I took 5-hour trip out of town on top of driving around the city I had visited. If they are to change or update something, it is to mention the young driver fees on Reservation agency websites. I always book with Expedia and if didn’t have my credit card on me, it would have resulted in me canceling the reservation. Convenient pick up and drop off overall

Terrible service. Arrived on Tuesday July 25th morning, had a reservation and was told I had to wait “30 minutes to an hr” as they did not have cars available. This was at 7am, so I was one of the first customers of the day. The employee showed no interest in assisting. Ended up renting from Hertz. Hadn’t rented from Dollar before, will never rent from them again. Obviously their planning and coordinating group doesn’t care about their customers. I need a reliable rental company on trips. This is not the one. I have NEVER had a car rental company tell me they don’t have cars and I have been renting cars for 25 years now for business travel.

I have had the worst experience possible with dollar. I rented a MID SIZE SUV and we’re given a Buick Encore (compact SUV) when I explained that this was not what we paid for, the gentleman argued with me and told me it was all he had. When I called dollar customer service to get a different vehicle once we reached our destination in Springfield, Massachusetts she tried to charge me an ADDITIONAL $130 to give me the vehicle that I already paid for. Come to find out, she made our reservation in Springfield, MISSOURI after already specifying that we would be going to MASSACHUSETTS. I called back to fix the mess up and they told us they did not have any locations in Massachusetts. So now we are stuck in an extremely small car, where we couldn’t even fit all of our belongings when I PAID for a bigger vehicle. I am absolutely disgusted with this customer service and I will never use Dollar again.

I reserved the smallest economy car available, but the car I received was a minivan. It reeked of smoke but i had already been told that it was the last car available. The car was not cleaned inside. There was mud on the back seats and something that looked a lot like vomit in the front passenger footwell. The exterior was not cleaned either and had a trim piece that was dragging on the ground causing a burning rubber smell when I drove. The company claims to have "enhanced cleaning" protocols for Covid-19 safety....what a joke. I wish i had looked at these reviews before I rented....I'm now awaiting a $15 fee for a $0.50 bridge toll I had to go through. Such a scam.

Car reeked of smoke. Service was rude. Worst of all, as others have mentioned, they’re running a scam on administrative fees for using I90. Was charged $90 in fees for less than $5 in tolls. Car had an ez-pass beacon in it and service counter made no mention of fees. Was also dropping car in Buffalo in reservation which would require use of I90. Filed a complaint with BBB, will do whatever it takes to not pay fees and will never rent with Dollar again.

Dollar Car rental has a policy that charges drivers $15 per toll booth you pass on top of the cost of the toll. I was rerouted to the PA turnpike due to a major traffic accident along my planned route, and Dollar charged me $64.70 instead of $4.70 to drive a ten mile stretch of road. When I called to dispute the charges (there are no cash pay options on that stretch of the PA turnpike, only license photo or EZpass), I was told that it is illegal to drive on a toll road in a rental car without first informing the car company. (I can't tell if the supervisor I spoke to is an idiot or lying). I asked what I should have done upon learning my route would take me on a toll road, and was told I was expected to pull over, contact the turnpike authority to notify them of my intent to drive on their road and ask them not to charge the rental company by license plate. I'm not kidding, nor am I making this up. I will NEVER rent from Dollar again. To compound the issue, almost all of the published phone numbers for Dollar at SYR airport are non-working numbers.

Very bad experience! They tried to scam us by saying we scratched the rim of the tire with a photo from a year ago. We tried calling, emailing, leaving voice messaged but no one followed up. Now after 3 weeks (too late to claim from insurance and without any explanation on why the dates on the photos are wrong), we received an email from a COLLECTION AGENCY telling us to pay $200 for a scratch on the tire rim! NEVER GOING TO RENT FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

I arrived into SYR just before midnight and wanted to pick up the car just after midnight, but forgot to put the next day's date into the pickup time. I arrived to a long line at the counter and after getting to the desk, they pointed out my mistake and told me my reservation had been canceled. I thought it would be no problem, but it sure was. I had to make a new reservation because they could do nothing about the original one, and the closest thing they could offer me to the compact car I originally reserved was a minivan at $676.00 vs the $200.00 for the compact. I kid you not. To get a compact, I had to return the next morning. Once I got the compact, I found out they could not apply a credit from the original rental to the new. I would have to file a claim to get any kind of refund on the original reservation. When we got the car, it had not been cleaned--there were water bottles inside along with used napkins and the car had a strong cigarette smell, but we just wanted to get out of there and didn't think anything of it. When we returned the car, there was no one there to greet us to tell us where to park. Eventually someone came up and told us that we would have to go back inside to the rental desk for a receipt because their computers were down. Once there, we were told because of the computer problems, we would have to accept an emailed receipt. When I later looked at the receipt, I was shocked to find a $400.00 fee added to the rental cost for a cigarette smoke cleaning, something that nobody ever mentioned was a policy. We don't even smoke! So, I had to go the through the hassle and wait of telephone customer service to rectify the cleaning fee (which I'm still not sure will actually be credited) and I had to file a claim in writing to get back some of the charges for the original rental that I screwed up--I don't mind paying for the first day because it was my mistake, but the balance I should not have to pay because it's undue enrichment to Dollar, especially since I rented another car from them. Dealing with Dollar has been an absolutely abysmal experience.

Had booked a car for 6 pm, noted arrival via number 14 train in my booking. The train was 10 minutes behind schedule. Arrived at the rental desk at 6:08 (with two young children and my elderly parents) to discover the staff had gone home. We had to taxi to our rental, then taxi back again the next day to get our car. A complete waste of time and money. When I suggested to the lady working there that they could have seen our train was delayed, perhaps called my cell phone before they left us stranded, she was cold, unsympathetic, and unapologetic. She finally offered me 10% off the rental charge (which didn't even cover the taxi fare). All I really wanted was for her to own up to a mistake and apologize. DO NOT BOOK FROM HERE.

I was in Nova Scotia recently and rented a car from Dollar Thrifty and one question they asked was "do I want a car with snow tires for an additional $20.00 per day"? I could not believe my ears...I am in Nova Scotia in the winter - this should not be an option, it should be mandatory...not only for the safety of passengers but also for insurance purposes. I declined because of spending an additional $200.00 for 7 days of rental. While I was there, it did snow and I did get stuck!!! Snow tires should be mandatory not an option!!

Art of deception! Beware! One star is far too generous....but is the only option. Rented a car there recently for a week at over $700 dollars. That was not enough for Dollar though. A month later, I am still getting invoices from them for 'administrative' fees totalling close to $100 dollars for fees for numerous tolls. In many cases, a $15 fee is tacked on to a 35 cent toll. My car had a toll beacon on it, and when I asked the rental agent if that meant my tolls would be paid, his answer was 'yes', without any mention that Dollar makes $15 dollars every time you go through a toll. Not being familiar with the area, I can't say I was expecting a toll (not to mention numerous) almost on every highway, though I knew there would be tolls. I have no issue whatsoever paying tolls I accrue, or one 'administrative' accompanying fee, but charging $15 dollars per toll is unethical and deceptive.....and is only in place to pad the income they make from your rental agreement. I would strongly suggest to anyone renting a car from Dollar to be hyper vigilant of this deception, or better yet, go with someone else who may at least be forthright with you. As for me, I will no longer rent a car from them due to their deception. I hope they enjoy the fees I was forced to pay.....doubt it will make up for all the rentals they will not get from me now.

Terrible customer service from call center. Staff could not understand that Halifax was in the "province" of Nova Scotia. When they are confused, they immediately hang up. Called 4 times, 3 times they hung up and the 4th time they provided me with an invalid phone number that directed me to call a pound number which sounded like a scam. Pretty disappointed as I was very professional and respectful in my calls.

After a short 2 hour flight from Hamilton to Halifax, we waited almost 2 more hours (from 9pm - 11pm) for our rental car. There were 10 people ahead of us. The staff argued with almost every guest about what was included in their rental. It took forever, and was very frustrating with 2 small children. I regretted prepaying, as all the other airport counters were quick and efficient. Not worth the hassle. Follow up - the company reached out to me here requesting more info, which I sent. I still did not even receive an apology, let alone any gestures to make it right. I was told that they would follow up with the local office, and have heard nothing from them. More wasted time. The response to this post was for social media appearances only.

Avoid this company at all cost. I reserved a vehicle through booking.com after calling to make sure the location would be open when I arrived at 9pm. I was told if I gave my flight number when I booked the car, someone would stay up to 2 hours after closing(10pm). I was notified at 11am that my flight was delayed so I called this location and again was told an employee would be at the counter. When we arrived at 10:15pm the desk was closed and we had to Uber to hotels. Enterprise and Budget had employees that stayed, but were sold out of cars. I had to then Uber back to the airport in the morning to pick up the rental car. Booking.com customer service is virtually non existent and did nothing to help. The vehicle I got was absolutely filthy, had bald tires, the driver side floor mat was missing, and there was a 1 inch crack in the windshield. I would post pictures if I could here, but that’s not possible. Also, when I got onto a chat with booking.com I was initially told the Uber rides would be reimbursed, but when I asked which company would pay they said it was a typographical error. Horrible experience from beginning to end. Never again Dollar or Booking.com

Waited in line for nearly two hours. Finally when I got to the counter, the gentleman asked if I would like to accept the Loss Damage Waiver. Now, I called my car insurance company days before and they explained that I was covered while driving a rental car and that LDW was something that car rental representatives potentially make commission on. I verbally declined at the counter knowing full well of the situation. The representative gave me a false spiel about how I am not covered blah blah blah and then acknowledged that I did not want it. Well he said one thing and did another - he accepted the waiver without my initial knowledge as I was already in a hurry to be on my way after having spent two hours in the process now, an I was charged an extra $534+ on top of my rental. I was not aware of these charges until after my rental was complete and I received an emailed receipt. When I called to inquire, and yes, complain, they told me that the rental had already been completed and I signed for the coverage. Very disappointed and appalled at the lack of compassion and customer service. Will never use Dollar again and will be informing others to do the same. No surprise now as to why their Google review rating is so low. Terrible.

They have mastered the art of bait and switch. I was quoted $505 for 2 extra weeks of the crappiest rental car ever when I called to extend my reservation. When I returned the car it was $806. Customer service is a nightmare; not to mention the language barrier because their customer service center is abroad. On top of it, I received numerous calls everyday to return the rental because it was overdue. Got home and I received a letter from Hertz (who owns dollar) demanding to return the vehicle. I spent a month taking care of my mother 3000 miles away from me who ultimately passed and they helped turn it into a bigger nightmare. Thanks dollar! I’ll stick with Enterprise where I never have a problem.

billed for extra day and erroneous fees because i failed to demand a receipt at the counter upon return. I will never do that again obviously, the lady assured me i would get docs via email shortly after return. never showed till invoice 2 wks later. the discrepancy lies in the fact they're understaffed and poor organization so they failed to return car when i returned it, which led to another day fee. Now the fun part, after 5 calls to rectify the situation, no help at all from any of the "customer service" reps including managers that i spoke with. ALL of them failed to resolve the issue or call me back. im out, goin to spend my rental dollars elsewhere. It wasn't until I was forced to dispute the bill through credit card company that I got any kind of a response out of the company "customer service team". Came in the form of a survey!

Do not expect ANY customer service. AND...if you do get customer service then do not expect to understand them. Phones and accents are terrible. We got in our rental car and drove away. Ten minutes later we realized that the car was LOADED WITH ANTS! We called to complain and get a new car...GOOD LUCK. Called three times the first day. We were on hold for 45 minutes each time. We never reached anyone! WE were too busy and had to hang up. Called the next day and finally got someone. They said that they had to 'create a case' and have a case worker call us back. They said the call would be returned within 30 minutes. NEVER heard from them! This company is awful. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. We spent four days killing hundreds of ants in the car.

I made a reservation through Expedia for a car rental on 3/22/2021. Itinerary number 72074718785099. It was for a family vacation. I prepaid $317.64 which was deducted from my visa debit card from Expedia in 3/22/2021. Upon arrival at the dollar rent a car counter at the Syracuse airport there was a sign on the counter stating dollar rent a car customers see the Hertz representative which was right next door. I was asked by the representative if I was dropping off or picking up. I informed her I was picking up. She said hold on a minute and disappeared behind the wall. When she came back, she asked for my drivers license and credit card. I gave her both and she immediately tossed the card at me and asked me if I had a flight ticket flying into Syracuse and out of Syracuse. I answered no. She then said that she needed a major credit card, not a debit card. I told her I didn’t have a credit card and that there is enough money in my account to buy a car. She then said I couldn’t rent a car in the airport and had to find a place off airport to rent that the ‘policy’ just changed on April first. I said I would like a refund of the already debited amount and she said you didn’t pay us, you paid them, take it up with them. At this point, she was rude offered no help as to an alternative rental company and I and my family was planning on leaving for our vacation that night. Her actions and comments made me feel like I was being discriminated against as debit cards are accepted for rentals of other travelers. I would like a full refund of my $317.64 as I never rented the vehicle I didn’t cancel my reservation, I was denied a car, was embarrassed and humiliated during the experience. I was totally scammed out of $317.64 by Expedia and Dollar Car rental.

HIDDEN FEES. Great experience, though I was overcharged and waited a longtime to get the keys. I booked my reservation online and was asked to pay an additional fee for being under 25. I was aware this fee existed, however, when I placed the reservation online I input my age. My reservation receipt said there was going to a pick up fees of $12 but when I got there I was charged an extra $100. There was also a 45 minute long wait to pick up the car because they only had one person working for 2 rental companies. However, the car was in great shape and very clean. The product was good, the service not so much.

Be me. Fly into Syracuse for meeting. After meeting, rent car from Dollar Syracuse airport, drive to Manhattan Stay several days and see the sights. Lose car rental keys somehow. crappants.jpeg Flying out of Syracuse the next day, car needs to be returned to Syracuse. Call AAA, absolutely no help. Call Dollar Syracuse, a real person picks up the phone immediately, clutch Dollar comes up with plan to overnight the spare key no charge, they rush to post office to mail the spare key in time to make the cutoff for 12pm next day delivery, they had like a 5 min window to get it there. Key gets to me at 1215 the next day, haul ass 4hr drive to syracuse and make my flight at 1730. Forever in debt to these guys. Thanks Anthony!

Horrible.....i reserved thru kayak on jul10th. A premium car for 1 week for 278 total. Dollar emailed me confirmation on aug 13th for 1 week in a full size for 283.....1 class smaller for 5 bucks more.....so today when i got to the counter the girl tried to make it right by giving me a suv ..... well it was a 2018 rogue with 43000 miles. Drove horrible 30miles home and a few hrs later i noticed the tires were bald and the registration expired in may....so after work i went back 30miles to the airport to swap it....after not being able to get thru on the phone a number of times ...... the man said the systems were down and wanted me to come back in the morning......i said so u want me to drive a unsafe unregistered car home and back in the morning ??????? Needless to say the systems came back up and he was able to swap the car out for 2 class sizes smaller and no discount......so to tavel to the airport 2 times. Take up 4 hours of my day. Given a bad vehicle that should have been checked before hand.....and the next car i got was a 2018 with 42000 miles on it.......I WILL NEVER USE DOLLAR OR HERTZ AGAIN SINCE BOTH COMPANIES USE THE SAME CARS....i normally use avis or buget and have never had a car over 10000miles and always received what i reserved

Rented a car and an ez pass for the Mass. turnpike. WATCH OUT a couple of weeks later you'll get the toll bill and a service fee for every time you get on the thruway of 15.00 each.......and then with the bill they have several areas threatening legal action should you not pay or not pay on time... And renting at the airport is a nightmare !
