I ended up renting a jeep wrangler for 3 months. I would renew every week. They were really good at accommodating me when I called at the last minute. I have nothing but good things to say Highly recommend renting a vehicle there. Jeep wrangler is the best

I don't recommend. I got a call saying that I got a speeding ticket and that I will be charged 63 dollars on top of the speeding ticket for "admin fee" I told them that I will pay it myself which they initially agreed to but then 2 hours later while I was waiting for their email I got charged on my credit card. I phoned back and the guy who answered the call said that the charge is non refundable. He said that he would have the person who said I could pay it myself call me back but two days later I don't have a call and they stopped answering my phone calls. I was as respectful as possible in my conversations. I find the staff their not very responsive and deceitful. Never going back there again.

Truck was base model. Would rather use hertz or enterprise as they use mostly fully loaded trucks. I could not wait to get my truck back. Other that customer service was great. Shuttle driver was friendly. Bottom line if the courtesy is an upgrade from your current vehicle I'm sure you'll be happy.

The worst car rental company I have hired a car with. This location has really rude staff and do not care for their clients. I had hired a car and travelled from Winnipeg to Calgary. While in Calgary, it needed an oil change so I had to get it done and I paid for it too. When I returned the car, they completely refused to refund the oil change money. To add on that, they were really cruel to me. Please stay away from this company. I wish there could be a zero star rating or negative rating that I could give them.

My experience was very good. People were nice. They had a nice vehicle for me to rent which I enjoyed driving. The interaction was very quick, the car was warm too (very cold day). They gave me a ride to and from where my car was getting fixed. So my only complaint was in a parking lot full of cars, there was only one vehicle, an SUV, they could rent me which was $10 over what MPI allowed. Really?

On my most recent visit (Sargent location, agent name I believe was Gretchen) I was having issues with my payment methods but working her magic on the computer I was still able to leave with my much needed ride.

Horrible experience with this car rental company. Had issues that needed to be resolved, several calls made, no reply even after leaving a voicemail. Called the office on Mcphillips and agent was not helpful at all, referring me back to initial office. If I had known it was U-drive I would not have rented with them as I was told they were not reliable. The app I used said Economy. I even filled the tank of the vehicle even when I was supposed to give it back at ¾.

Had the opportunity to have a car for 10 days from them while my truck was being repaired I've never had the chance to drive a Kia Sorento before but the car was in impeccable shape and met all my needs I would never have a problem using them again in the future five stars. The only suggestion I have is give the poor guy that runs the Car Rental desk some help. Because when came to return my car he was away from the desk for lunch and I couldn't find anyone to cover for him and by time he return to the desk they were six people waiting I think it was a total of 4 cars either being returned or picked up that's the only thing I think they could improve on overall the people are friendly and knowledgeable about the car they're giving you

Understaffed. Took an hour to get my car. And then, the t&c were different than what I had booked on Expedia so I pretty much had to take the car as now i was far away from the airport with no transit options. Irritating. Staff were great otherwise. No issues with car itself, shuttle to airport was fine, no delays. I agree with other reviews, lots of hidden costs and the final invoice is unclear as to how the charges were calculated daily. Was grateful the staff removed the big rental car lettering off the window. Safety concerns.

The problem I faced was, I came to the sargent avenue to pick up a car, the manager in hold Mr.Dee was really kind and helpful but however there was only one small car available, so He helped us get a another car. We went to the pembina location to exchange the car but the lady there she ended up giving us an unhygienic, unclean car amid this Covid situation. That was really upsetting and uncomfortable for me and my friend. It was both dirty from inside out . :( The only reason this 5 star is here is because of Mr.Dee kind and helping attitude ????

Provided me with a courtesy vehicle while my car was at the shop for repairs next door. Friendly service but vehicle selection is sometimes limited as they are a busy center. I was supposed to get a compact vehicle but none were available so they ended up giving me a 2018 Ram Hemi truck. I loved the truck but didn’t need one. I traded it a few days later when they had a compact car...no hassle. I’d rent from them again.

Overall I was happy with our experience. It would be nice if they had a better explanation when booking online that this is an off site location and that there isn't an obvious shuttle option and you have to call them to find out that you need to take a cab over to their rental place (they pay the cab driver). Also the car inside did smell like someone smoked in it and also wasn't super clean inside. Other then that they did pretty good with getting us in and out of there (not the fasted but certainly not the slowest either). I'd probably book with them again if the price was a lot better but if only a couple dollars different I'd probably consider an on airport location.

As usual, I’ve had an awesome experience with U-drive. Gretchen at the Sargent location in Winnipeg was extremely professional and well mannered; she answered all of my questions professionally and was so patient. I gave 4/5 because the rates went a little bit up (due to COVID as per Gretchen) and because the car I got this time was entry-level trim and lacked so many features like driving mode and heated steering. Overall the professionalism makes up for that.

U drive provides a pick and drop service. I was told a day before and messaged these guys to pick me at 9:30 am. The day after i was told they can not pick me before 11 and my rental was at 10am. So, i booked a taxi to reach there. Wasted money. When i returned it, they helped customers dropping them to their location who came after me. Not a good customer service.

2years ago Fast & Great customer service. Clean & new vehicle. Lowest price car rental in PEG city But not anymore.. As of yesterday's experience... I, a customer for 4 years, placed a reservation days prior. I received a confirmation email yesterday morning but when I arrived in the center, they said there was NO suv available. So why confirm a booking if they cannot commit to it, right? It's a simple booking and yet they screwed it up. There is still a pandemic so I'm expecting they clean their rentals ahead the confirmation. But surprisingly not. The worse thing is the front desk lady was rude while the manager cannot make a decision or present a solution on how to handle the situation. They kept saying they will call me or email me however I didn't recieved any response for the whole day. I told them I was at their mercy in sacrifice of family quality time. When they finally called today saying there's an available car ready, there wasn't any apology for the lateness. My wife already said were already in our cabin so we can't pick it up. The rudeness of the front lady as she slam the telephone. Wow!! That was the final straw. What a worse customer service ever. Customer Service: no star for me

They don't keep your reservation and don't let you know they don't have a car to rent. It happened to ke twice. i made a reservation, went there and told me they don't have a car! No apologies no rearrangement, no nothing. They're aweful. UPDATE1: The guy at the front desk told me to come back at 3 and he'll definately give me a car once another customer returns it at 3pm. I went again at 3pm and got the car this time (however, half a day was already gone and paid 4 bucks for the bus ticket to go home and come back) UPDATE2: Upon dropping off the car, I talked with the manager, Evan, about the incident. The truck was a nice upgrade however when I went to drop it off and was charged even though the dodge dealership set up a free rental as I had rental insurance that paid the bill. The representative said ‘oh you have to talk to MPI to be reimbursed’ I said ‘ok’ and paid. Then today I realized I paid someone else’s bill as the invoice was not made out to me. I called to ask for my money back and was told that it would take up to two weeks as they had to fix a bunch of stuff with the invoices. I should be compensated right away as it was the mistake of the representative of U drive who made the error. We are now 5 week point since I paid someone else’s bill and I have still not been compensated. I was told 2 weeks and it would go back on my Visa. When I called at the 2 week point the receptionist told me that she still had not heard from her head office. Then a week later she called and said that they needed to prove my card was used and needed a photo of it. Last week sent an email and was told that it could take many weeks for my card to be credited and that a cheque would be faster. I agreed to come and get it. I was told I would get a call when it is ready. Still waiting.... This is insane!!! This company charge me someone else’s bill. They have been paid by my insurance and we’re paid immediately. And still they cannot figure out how to fix their mess. They have given out aMother customers private information, the invoice I have made it to someone other than myself, that has another customers phone number, name and address it. This should be top priority to fix however it appears not. I am beyond schooled at the unprofessional nature of this company

Pro: few dollars cheaper than most Car rental out there. Complimentary pick-up and drop-off. Con: aging fleet. Not detail oriented. (read more about my particular experience) Verdict: In the future, I will pay a few dollars more per day and rent from Enterprise. The white AWD, SUV I was renting: #1. In the mid of frigid winter, tap water is used as Windshield Washer Fluid. It’s creating thin film of ice on the driver side windshield. #2. And thanks to bad wiper blades (all 3!) – trying to wipe your front windshield only clear the top half but leave thin film of ice on the bottom half. Forget about the passenger side and back window wiper blades that are totally useless. #3. The Gas door is totally frozen shut. (Who has time to check if the Gas door can open when renting a vehicle?) I could not open the Gas door as it is electronically controlled. If I use force such as flat head screwdriver, I will literally destroy their property and I will have to pay for the damage. Lucky that I do not have to drive more than a full gas tank. Return vehicle with more than half a tank but got charged market price for half tank of gas.

It was the worst experience in renting cars. I booked for an intermediate car and I got a economic one. The car was noisy and had some issues with Consumption. The car was very dirty inside and had windshield cleaners in not worse shape. When I return the car I was asked for what Was my experience, but then when I said it was a bad experience, they didn’t do anything to make it better. The biggest problem was we only read the web page which said it was pick up and drop off at the airport. Once at the airport with my 91 year old mother there was no pick up...it involved more walking and a taxi ride to the car rental. I was not happy cuz it was extra moving in and out of vehicles for my mother. The workers apologized and said the web page was not updated and it is always a 3 minute plus taxi ride....now the car i was supposed to rent was ready and waiting but the keys were no where to be found. I ended up with a dodge dart that had to have a screwdriver brought to me to close the driver side door. I tried driving it but brought it back cuz the driver wiper did not work and it was very messy and slushy on the roads. The very nice workers gave me a different vehicle which was fine. However the keys to the car i wanted was never found. People were nice but way too much hassle to ever use these guys again.

You can book a car on their website but they overcharge you . They take young rental fee but they do not tell you about it previously. I needed the car urgently , i booked it and when i was there , they started to add young driver fee and other fees . I calculated my the rent was 316 for 7 days. They started asking me 738 for 7 days. Including deposit and fees for one week and after that i can not trust my math skills at all and if you ask me what car i was about to rent. It was a FIAT 500 . I had a terrible experience with Winnipeg UDrive. They were disorganized when I went to pick up my vehicle, called the day after I picked up the car to ask why I had returned the vehicle early, and when I responded to say that I had not returned it, they argued that I had, even though I was driving the car the moment. I had also called because the car smelled like gasoline and the oil light was on. While I was speaking with U drive, the battery died on the vehicle and I was told I would be responsible for the cost of the repair and the tow. The vehicle has 45,000 kms on it and I had driven it 16 kms, but was still told the repair costs would be my responsibility because I was driving it at the time. I still have not sorted this out with Winnipeg UDrive and costs I will be responsible for, however I will NEVER rent from them again or recommend them. Extremely dissatisfied and unimpressed with the customer service provided.

Rented a vehicle from here while my car was with mpi. Mpi was taking long with my cars assessment so I called u rental to see how much longer I was covered for the rental. The lady on the phone was nice told me it was up in a couple days and she would call mpi to see if they would extend. I was told she would reach out to me if she needed to. A man calls me 2 days after my insurance is up to tell me that I am not covered anymore and I have to pay $39 a day and that I currently owe 80$. Not only did they not call mpi about my insurance but they called me 2 days after they knew it was up. Not impressed will never rent again.

I would give zero stars if I could. Worst customer service ever! They mark on the sheet that the gas tank is full but it's a quarter down and then you're stuck having to pay extra because they say they gave it to you full and that you signed it so have no choice. They've done this to my husband who actually noticed and take a picture and called them and then to me and I didn't take a picture. Then they charged me for the deductible and down time for an accident that MPI had already waived me of liability before I returned the car. How can u charge down time when a vehicle hasn't been down yet?? And why charge for something they hadn't been charged. And of course the manager is "out sick". I am very upset. Used this U-Drive through MPI more than 5 times, no issues. Rented a car for a few hours on Saturday June 9. I was told to drop the car off and leave the keys in the drop box, I did. I was charged double rental and when I called, I was on hold for more than 11 mins and then told they confirmed it with the staff, I was given wrong information about the drop off and I would be refunded...(I wasn't lying and glad the staff confirmed it) I cant reach anyone at the head office or at the rental shop on the phone, I left messages with no response. The charge is still on my card. I was treated like I was lying over charged and it is taking me days and hours to get MY money back. I am very disappointed.

Had the worst experience of all time. Booked 2 vans 3 weeks before the date we wanted it. We reached there to pick up and 1 van wasnt available, other was wasnt cleaned. We had to go to other location and pick up an suv, they wouldnt even offer somebody dropping it at our pickup location. I found them online, they offered the best deal and they didn't ask for my credit card (online - that is what made me think they were bogus). I have been dealing with Tony Duspara and he is awesome - patient, resourceful, going the extra mile to give fantastic customer service. I had trouble with my credit card going through and Tony worked with me to find a solution that worked for both of us. I was early to pick up my car and it wasn't available. But Tony was on top of things and as soon as something similar to my wishes became available, he contacted me and I was out of there early. I booked the car for three weeks and then decided to extend the contract. Tony extended the same discount to me, even though he had to do it manually to enter it into the computer. I am very impressed with Tony and this business and plan to stay loyal to them whenever I'm in Winnipeg.

We were shuttled to the u-Drive rental for free . We were given a car that was very gas efficient . When we got there the car that we were given was soooo dirty on the inside . The manager came to do the walk around before we got in it and was concerned the glass on the outside was spotted from water . I guess he didn’t see any need to check the inside . When we returned the car the lady came out to check it and when I told her the car was so dirty , she said due to covid they were unable to clean the cars when they return from the city of Winnipeg . During the pandemic they would have had lots of time for cleaning . Poor excuse ! Then we had to take a cab and pay for it ourselves back to the airport . Make sure when you are booking a car from Expedia even though you type in pick up at airport and drop off it does really mean that . It’s not that it was cheap, it was 458.00 for a week .

went to go get my tire changed yesterday at the Sargent location, silly me i forgot Donvito was already closed so i went to UDrive to see if they can change it for me. Long story short, the washbay dude changed it for me but that was after whoever the dude was working up front almost refused to let someone there change the tire. Receptionist at Sargent avenue location was totally incompetent , poor knowledge in customer service, lacked of HOSPITALITY. Highly recommend them especially the tall chubby guy to do the car washing or detailing rather than dealing with the costumers.pity for the company with good reputation having that kind of ambassador.

I rented a car from U DRIVE MCPHILLIPS for a little over a month (3 of those weeks were on an AUTOPAC CLAIM). They gave me a 2019 KIA with low mileage. Only 18,200 kms. and it ran perfectly the entire time. I only had 1 problem the entire time with the car when I ran over a screw in the road and the back tire kept going flat. When I brought the car back to DEE and RODERICK they arranged to have the tire fixed and had me back on the road within an hour. I would definately rent another car in the future from U DRIVE MCPHILLIPS. The guys did a really good job of looking after me and I have no complaints.

We were fortunate to have been able to rent a vehicle last minute as most places didn't have anything available. Upon receiving the vehicle they were pleasant to deal with. However upon return we found we were given the wrong information that we could return it anytime between 10am-3pm. Recieved a phone call at 10:30am that we would be charged an extra day if it was not returned before 11. Upon returning I was asked if I needed a ride home. I said yes. I was informed that it would be a wait because they were getting an oil change. I waited for an hour and inquired about the ride and was met with no information or an eta. I ended up having to walk home which is an hour walk because I couldn't wait any longer. Although this company is cheaper then other options keep in mind they aren't necessarily as professional as other options available.

I rented a vehicle with this company that I had for 1 whole month and three weeks. They did not offer me any promotions for the length of time I had the vehicle, they charged me an extra fee called vehicle licensing fee that ended up being an extra $200 on my bill and when I asked what it was for the person in said he didn’t know and agreed it was just a fee the company throw on to make extra money (seeing as the vehicle is already insured, why should I be paying a daily fee to insure it, AND I am already paying an added fee to insure the vehicle from any damage that might occur). I also called to ask if the vehicle could be washed after I had it for three weeks as I was going to be renting it for quite a long time while I was making a vehicle purchase of my own which they refused to as they said it’s against their policy to wash it. I also received multiple phone calls from various people working there asking me when I would be bringing the vehicle back but I had already let them know and I extended the time I had it because shopping for a vehicle during covid19 has been a difficult and slow process. The business is also located within We Sell Autos where I waited while they cleaned the vehicle when I first picked it up. While waiting it was pretty unpleasant to hear a group of salesmen chat about strippers and their personal preferences. Will not rent with them again. They didn’t do anything to make my customer experience above average or even good. Thumbs down

My reservation at the McPhillips location was handled courteously and quickly. The car was presented clean, damage free and with a full tank. The 'walkaround' was carried out attentively and accurately noted. I was concerned that I would not be able to return the car on time but after discussing my situation with the agent the problem was alleviated. The cost was much less than other car rental companies we considered. I highly recommend U-Drive Car Rental and will use them again.

First time booking with U-drive and it was truly awful. Booked a car online weeks in advance of our vacation and called the day before to confirm. Sounded like all was fine from the person I spoke to but when we showed up the next morning at 10am (when they’re supposed to open on Sat) no one was there. Waited and waited, and a staffer from Don Vito tried to find someone to help. He then told us he couldn’t find our booking and that there were no cars available!! We called every car rental in Wpg but everyone was sold out as it was a long wknd in summer. We were stunned as we had all these vacation plans but no way to get there. An hour later the Don Vito fellow found us a car on the lot though I don’t know how. He gave us a discount but it was an extremely stressful start to what was supposed to be a relaxing week off. Then when we returned the car the next Sat we had to wait again as the staffer showed up 10 min after they were supposed to be open. Very, very leery about ever booking here again.
