I was interested in a couple of their cars. One of their representatives reached out to me after I inquired about the Car Fax information of a lower end user car. I replied back, stated my interest, my budget, the urgency and importance of buying a car that will not have major immediate work to be done and my accomodation due to my disabilities. The reply? Ghosted, totally ghosted never to be contacted, followed up with or finalize a sale. Thaaaanks, it's all I can say. I haven't heard from them since. So thanks for nothing and adding to a burden with inconsiderate, rude and dismissive behavior. I would like to think it's due to their ignorance and not because I am a person of colour but even when I was in the dealership I was not treated very kindly which is why I turned to the website and online shopping after hearing my boyfriend's family swear up and down about the professionalism and great service. Of course my white boyfriend and white daughter were approached and given the utmost service and then they figured out "oh you're together".... Yuuuup we are thanks for dismissing me earlier. Maybe there's great service for some but clearly not an equitable experience for all. There goes your auto sale from my low price bracket in my time of need and from my higher price bracket after my finances got in order. Too busy looking for the big spenders and not paying attention to someone who can pay cash on the spot for a cheaper option that day in the meantime trying to stay mobile and independent after the end of lease of my former vehicle at another dealership. I was needing a functional car until the additional funds were to be deposited for a larger purchase after the fact because you know I have a teen ager who was going to get the first car and I was to get the second one. So that's a two car sale lost by your hospitality. Great service!
We traded in our Ford Escape and purchased a 2019 Ford Edge SEL. Service from Shannon was 2nd to none. This fabulous man went out of his way to get us in our new car before we went away on vacation.
My husband and I shopped around for a new car and was disappointed everywhere but Ford. They went above and beyond to meet all of our requests. If you ask for it they will bend over backwards to try and make things work for you. If you want to be treated like a valued customer I recommend coming here. This is from a family who absolutely refused to buy Ford products until 2018

Very unhappy with the overall process of purchasing our car from Avalon Ford. We purchased a certified Ford Edge from Avalon Ford a few weeks ago, but on the way driving it home, we noticed various issues with the vehicle: 1) The front interior lights did not work; 2) Panoramic sunroof did not work; 3) Brake light did not work; and 4) Licence plate missed two pins. So, the day after, we took the vehicle back to Avalon Ford to get that looked after and the service adviser told us that it would take a day to get the parts in and a day to have the issues fixed, but it actually took them a week. I basically called Avalon Ford everyday and they kept telling me that our car would be ready for pick up by the end of the day. We could finally get our vehicle back after a week, assuming that everything was fixed on this supposedly certified vehicle. On the way driving it back home, I just checked the sunroof to make sure it works fine, but surprisingly it did not get closed! They apparently didn't even test it once after the repair just to make sure it works properly. So, we had to return the vehicle back to Avalon Ford the same day because we didn't have a garage to have it stored overnight given that the sunroof was open. Finally, they had it fixed by the end of the next day, end of story. I spent several hours to do the insurance arrangements on the phone, as well as to drive the vehicle back and forth to Avalon Ford. When purchasing this vehicle, the agent at Avalon Ford told us that there is no issues with the car whatsoever, but on the way back driving it home we figured out various problems. Very disappointed and dissatisfied with our overall experience from the day we received this Avalon Ford certified vehicle. The vehicle was sold with a Certified Vehicle tag. This means that everything was supposed to be checked and certified before delivering the vehicle to us. However, there was not one, but several issues with this car.

At the time, I was a student at MUN with a limited budget. I wanted to be safe during the winter, so I spent 800$ to buy winter tires and have them installed at Avalon Ford. Well after the winter, the folks at Mr. Lube pointed out to me that the winter tires had been installed backwards, which meant they were completely useless as winter tires. When I mentioned this to the people at Ford they told me they wouldn't give me any money back but they would switch the tires around for free. It was the beginning of May. I would have been better off if I never stepped foot in that dealership.

Sales experience was great!! Thanks to Brad for all his help!!! I have had a few problems with the vehicle but I must say that the Service department has done a pretty good job in trying to solve any issue that have come up.

Service department are nice and will try to work things out. Reliable and honest too. Sales however will lie to addon useless protections, when you try to actually use them, you find out they were a waste of money. Definitely be aware of the shady sales practices.

Had our Escape towed in. Loss of Power. Brian our service advisor booked it in. Called us a few days Later needed to replace engine block.Within the hour he called and said we have a loaner for you. He Said it could take a little longer with shipping which is undstandable. Even though he was off he said He would make sure we were called when it was done and we were. Great service for keeping us informed. Thanks could not be happier.

Endless issues with the service department for years. Wasn't until last visit when I paid $200 + for nothing and they burnt 1/4 tank of fuel. Service manager was no help ,very unprofessional and was not the least bit interested in my experience. Only $$$$, well Avalon Ford you got your last dollar from this guy. NEVER AGAIN

**** WARRANTY BUYERS BEWARE **** Purchased a car care warranty (invoice #4049) for $1200.00 when I bought my 2011 FORD Escape back in 2011 when I bought the Escape new. The Rust Body Panel portion of the warranty was supposed to be for 10 years. November 2019 brought the SUV into Avalon Ford and at the time the Auto Body manager told me to bring it back in the spring so they could take some pictures of the rust. Monday April 13 brought he SUV into Avalon Ford to be looked at. Explained to the staff what I had been told to do back in the fall of 2019. Staff member couldn't understand why I was told to do that. Staff member explained to me that I am responsible to come to Avalon Ford within 15 days of the discovery of the rust. If the rust is older than 15 days then it is not covered by the Car Care Warranty. When i brought the Escape there in the Fall of 2019 there was no mention of this. So obviously when i returned 5 months later of course the rust is older than 15 days now !!! I was told to bring the Escape back in the spring so they could take some pictures. Why was I told to do this? I found out the pictures if they had been taken would have been sent to FORD Canada and they would possibly do the repairs. Staff member told me that they would look into the situation with the Auto body manager. On Wednesday 15 April i was contacted by Avalon FORD and informed that the Auto body manager could not remember the conversation that we had had in November 2019. I was informed by the staff member that the rust was older than 15 days and that Avalon FORD will not honor the warranty. I can only imagine how much revenue has been generated by the selling of these Care Care Warranties that have been sold over the years by Avalon Ford. I was told by the manager at Avalon Ford to bring the Escape back to them in the spring - I followed all their instructions - you trust the people that you bring your vehicle to treat you with respect and this is what happens. How many more people out there have been treated this way - this warranty is definitely a way for Avalon Ford to generate revenue and have to provide no service - complete and absolute rip off.

Absolutely brutal service department. Completely incompetent. 4 times I had to bring my truck there to have door latches properly fixed...2 years (seriously) they couldnt diagnose the knocking in the rear of my truck- had to figure it out myself and tell them how to fix it and then they still screwed up the repair and I had to bring it back again...Brought my truck in again Friday to fix malfunctioning wipers - get it back telling me they are repaired and had been tested and the first time I turn them on they are actually worse than before. These are not complicated issues

80G truck and you cant even fill the D E F tank enough to get through to my first service. 9.00 charge to put floor mats in it and then refuse to fill the fuel tank WOW nothing like being nickeled and dimed.Whats next 5 quarts of oil instead of 6 or 3/4 of the rad full We got kicked to the curb from Avalon on a tonneau cover that was leaking badly and was poorly installed they refused to pay for the repair this is my 5th ford truck and Avalon is done. They won't stand behind thier service shop work. We had issues 3,000 miles away and they refused to pay the 100.00 for the repair of the leaky tonneau cover that they already charged me for installing and wanted me to return the truck to them from South Carolina to Newfoundland over a 100$ repair. Do not deal with Paul he make his own decision and won't take issues to management. UPDATE !!!!! they decided to pay the minor repair nothing but hassles over a small repair last time they get my business or any service work

I've been to many car dealerships in town and ford has the best service out of all of them... With Teranova motors a close second. I'm big on service. Cars are cars, quality has normalized over the past 10 years or so... So, if the service is bad, go somewhere else. Ford is one of the best. Highly recommend.

Phill Gray, Service Manager, has been great to deal with and provides exceptional customer service. My experience with Ford has been great so far and I look forward to remaining a longtime customer.

The service side of Avalon Ford has been a dreadful experience. Major lack of communication between staff. 3 times I went to get a problem looked at and because of the poor communication I had to leave without the service being done. My wife has a Hyundai and the experience with them has been terrific. It's a night a day comparison. It's actually mind boggling just how poor/bad my experience has been.

I live in bc and bought a very specific f150 from Avalon in st John's Newfoundland because it was the only place I could find the model I wanted. Brad was super helpful in dealing with all the red tape of having a vehicle shipped across the country. The prices were very fair even without negotiation and the staff kept me posted about the shipment of my vehicle the entire time.

I had my 2014 ford f150 in for service this was over the last 5 years the 7th or 8th regular service routine stuff oil change fix a power window and check brakes. I now have to take it to another garage to get the damage that they caused fixed because right now it is UNSAFE to drive so customer beware. AND watch out for Bad Work.

I went there this summer and my experience was horrible, they made me wait an hour to test drive an SUV, at the end of the test drive I told them I wanted it. Then they told me that while I was waiting for that hour they sold the car to another dealership, so shady. Avoid this place at all costs!!

Had probably the best customer service ever. Bought a pre owned truck a month ago, lost oil pressure and had the warning light come on as I pulled in my driveway. It took a little over 2 hours from when I called roadside assistance to have it towed, to the dealership calling me to tell me my truck was fixed and ready to be picked up. Big thanks to Chris Brown and to the service department. Fantastic customer service!

Brought my 2015 explorer in for burning rubber smell while on the highway. $450 later new belt new tensioner. Picked up vehicle and while on way home, same smell. Back to Avalon Ford. Got told they couldn’t find the problem (they didn’t test on highway). But said they’ll keep it for the weekend, test drive again. Fast forward to Monday, received a call said once again couldn’t find the problem, but there is a recall, something about the exhaust. They’d fix it and it would be ready on Tuesday. We told them we’d be in to pick up Thursday or Friday, because we are from out of town. When I go and pick up the vehicle I get charged $268, which what ever it is what it is. When I get the suv however, the whole drivers do is scratched up (looks like someone cut a corner to quick while bribing it in for service) and through the jigs and reels, and arguing with the service manager he tells me too bad we aren’t gonna cover it because it was left on their parking lot and anyone could have done it. So here we are out $736 and probably another $1000 to $1500 to get the door fixed and guess what? Still have the burning rubber smell. I’ve lived in Canada and the U.S and Ford has been nothing but great. Here we are dealing with this joke of a dealership. Stay far away from these people. Worst customer service I have ever witnessed. Definitely won’t be getting another dime from me

Absolutely terrible service department. they've had my car for 3 weeks now and still don't know what the problem is. They've ordered the wrong part 3 times and keep blaming it on Ford. I've been forced to cut my vacation short. I wanted to save my vacation so I asked if I could take the car and get it fixed at another dealership as I am moving out of province after my vacation. They gave me the car, but didn't tell me the airbag was faulty due to a missing sensor. The only reason I found out was the wipers and signals weren't working and the technician told me when he fixed them. They're completely unsympathetic and won't do anything to help me. The sales staff are very good, but once you've bought a vehicle the service department couldn't care less about you. Completely incompetent. Obvious communication issues between the technicians, service reps, and Ford. Avoid this place like the plague!
