Rented from here on two occasions in ‘17 and ‘20 and Tina has been very helpful both times. Prices beat anything else available at the time and the company allowed the car on the Washington State ferry, which I’m not sure a different rental would. 4 stars not five because the last car I took had some malfunctions: cigarette lighter/charger was not working which became a headache, as I didn’t have any other charging source for my phone during my trip (camping), one of the lights was out. That said, make sure everything is working before you take the car (electronics, lights and especially the charger)

You get what you pay for and man was this a great bargain. They're the only car rental place I could find that would rent to people under 25. Car alarm kept going off, and it had a cassette player instead of CD or aux. Still, it got us where we needed to go with no break downs. When you show up to rent bring your patience. The lady is nice but not always there and a little scattered when she is.

Don't rent from these guys because if anything goes wrong they will take you to the cleaners. On the morning we were scheduled to return the car, we lost the key, or someone stole it, we still don't know. So we thought, ok, so we'll be dinged for a replacement, maybe $300 tops. But no. They didn't have a spare key, so everything had to be replaced at the dealers. To cut a long story short, they charged me for everything, and it ended up costing $1100 CND. And of course when we tried to claim it on our card insurance, they did not cover it. Typical.

The worst company ever, I will never rent from them again. One star is even too much for them but I had to put it because of Google police. They took money from my bank account with out my permission.

Their cars are in pretty bad shape, and not well maintained!!! Plus, when you get into a car accident, the company does not call you back until the morning after - what a service! Especially when you had recommandations from local friends telling you this company was great! Use another rental company if around victoria!!!

Tina is the best in the business! We called her with our last-minute rental request and she worked hard to find us the perfect car for our trip. When we ran into a difficulty (self-inflicted) she was immediately available to troubleshoot us through it. Practicar is now our go-to rental agency. Great cars and genuine, top-notch customer service!

I rented a Uhaul van here and everything was amazing. Tina from Practicar was an amazing customer service representative. I felt cared for and like my business really mattered despite my move being so small and short. I use this company every time I fly into Victoria, or Nanaimo it is way cheaper than taking a car on the ferry, The staff are wonderful, and bend over backwards to make sure you get what you need,

Tina was very friendly and tried her best. Unfortunately what they quote you is a far cry from what will be charged. Was quoted 1000km for a week rental and only used 350km. Extended the rental two days and they decided to charge me for each km usage instead of the initial quote which equals to an extra charge of 200.00. It seems they don't honor initial agreements as my paperwork stated.

Embarrassing. My car's interior was filthy - hadn't been cleaned in years. There was even a clump of hair on the dashboard. Absolutely worth paying 3 bucks more per day for a place that doesn't surround you with dirt.

From start to finish, I had a great experience renting from PractiCar and I will definitely be renting from them again. The car was clean, confrotable, well maintained, and it ran great. And the price was about 35% lower than the best price I'd been quoted at any of the other car rental places in town. And on top of all that, Tina was especially helpful with both of my special rental requests and also made the entire process of renting and returning the car a pleasure. Thank you Tina! Rented a small Mazda last week . The experience totally smooth . At the time I need my vehicle , Tina was picking up another vehicle from a customer at the same place . She was waiting for me at 'arrivals' and the paperwork was a breeze .Tina is awesome . The car was in excellent shape , just a few minor nicks and scratches . From 10 feet away , it looked brand new . When I returned the car , I had to drop it off and take a cab back to the airport as she was , at the time delivering a car to a different location . But , even if would have had to take a cab round trip to the airport , for a one week rental , I would have saved, at least, a couple of hundred dollars over renting from one of the agencies at the airport.

Didn't make me pay for a day rent when I couldn't make it to my bookng and picked me up from my hotel. However, charged me an extra day with insurance when the car was couple of hours late after noon. Also told me just to bring the car back before the day ended. Also has 200 km limit per day, extra if goes over that.

I made a reservation at this location two weeks ago, for a car for the week to go to a festival. When I arrived this morning they informed me that they just didn't have a car, no explanations, no attempt to contact me. The owner was very rude and not helpful at all, made no attempt to resolve the situation. I am insulted and abhorred with the manner in which I was treated by the staff and management. I implore you never to rent from such people, who clearly place no value, or respect, on their relationship with longtime customers. Because of this situation, I am out an extra $200 and a whole lot of patience. Again, they have no ability or desire to fulfill their obligations, even when a binding contract has been signed. Beware of this sad excuse for a business!
