Been with them about 3 months and pretty content. Nice to have access to a car without worrying about maintenance, insurance, etc. Generally pretty easy to get a car when needed. Cars are clean and in good order.

Was told that we did not pass the credit check and that we needed to pay $500 for another membership. I gave them my card number and was assured that no money would be taken out until the application was approved. It was only after they had my card number that they made the locations of the cars available for me to see. Upon realizing that there were no cars even remotely close to where we lived, we cancelled the application and were assured three times that no money would be taken out. Imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning to find $500 from CarShare taken out of my account. Naturally, I attempted to contact them but it's easier to visit Narnia. We were eventually assured by "Casey B" that they would be processing my refund today and now at 5:38 I still do not have the money. Of course I tried to contact them but I could not get past their hold music and was eventually told that their offices are closed, even though the recording says they are open 9:00-5:00. I would not wish this kind of Hell on anybody, not even my worst enemy and I hope this helps them "start the refund process".

I have been trying for over two weeks to set up an account with CarShare Atlantic and still no luck. I have filled out their online form and called multiple times and all I am told is "maybe soon". They can't even give me a timeline as to when they will set up an account, very unprofessional company.

I signed up for CarShare a few months ago after being told that I would receive my "welcome package" with my key fob (and therefore be on the road) in 4 days. It took WEEKS to receive this welcome package, at which point I no longer had any need for the service as I had to make alternative transportation arrangements. I contacted the people at CarShare Atlantic for a refund, as they had not provided me the service I had paid for in the timeframe I had required it, and it took them three weeks to respond to me. This, in my opinion, is an unacceptable length of time for a response from any reputable, legitimate business. At this point they told me via email that my account was cancelled and I was to return my key fob - notice no mention of a refund. I contacted them by telephone for clarification as to whether I would receive my refund, and after waiting on hold for someone to answer for 15 minutes, they told me that I would not receive any refund. I was told by the representative that my only other option was to withdraw my cancellation request, which I said I would like to do rather than lose that money entirely, and he told me to submit a formal written request through their 'Contact Us' section of their site. I did this over two weeks ago and have not heard back from them again. I received an email today informing me that I am being charged $20.00 for not returning my key fob to them following my account closure, so not only has CarShare stole a years worth of membership fees from me (when I never even had the opportunity to use their service!) but I now owe them an additional fee for not sending back the key fob that I was told not to send them by their own customer service rep. CarShare Atlantic is a scam and has the worst customer service I have ever personally experienced. Save your money and your time and opt for an alternative method of transportation.

Robbery. Charged me 40 dollars TWICE as a late fee. Completely unacceptable. A company that preys on its customers, instead of rising with them. Won't recommend them to ANYBODY.

We wanted to book a car and it turns out you have to submit an application like 6 weeks in advance like how am I supposed to know that.

Was with them for two years. I got an email stating I had left cat hair in the car. First warning. I contacted them and told them it wasn't me. And it wasn't. Few weeks later same thing happens. Again I tell them it wasn't me. Both times they told me the complaint would be taken off my record. Third complaint came. This time it was sand in the car. Told them again it wasn't me. Turns out the sand was in the back of the car where I never looked. Why would I? Got a $50 fine for third offense. They outright lied about taking the first two complaints off my record. Also claimed the first two complaints were becuase I failed to notify them of the cat hair, not that it was from my cat. Lienumber two. The first two complaints were only ever about that it was my cat. And I never saw the cat hair. How can I report something I never saw. Lies, predatory fines, zero accountability. They just send off there warnings from their office and you have no way of fighting back. I was a responsible user who never left a mess. Yet I'm held acountable for someone else's mess I never saw? Did they find the person who actually left the messes and fine them too? Or just me? Contemptible company policies. Also, while the service may work for short distances, for longer rides it's cheaper to just rent acar, and you won't get fined for things that aren't your fault. Bought myself a really good bicycle. I can live just fine without Communauto's BS.

It happen to me twice, I have booked the car and when I try to unlock it nothing happen. The car is locked and this added to months bill. All of hidden bill you will received at the end of month. Poor service. Just scam yo make money.
