Had to exchange rentals with no problems. Great service.
Overall a good experience front desk staff were helpful and friendly and the managers special gave us a nice comfortable and very clean Toyota corolla. Just remember that airport tax is added on when you drop off.

Reena gave us excellent service! The window of our USA rental had a window smashed. She knew right away how to handle an exchange of cars so we could go back to the States. She gave us an incredible upgrade and helped us with filing the claims report which saved us a trip to the police. Thanks for such prompt and caring service.

Absolute worst experience renting a car. I was delayed at the airport for 6 hours trying to get a car organized. Finally a younger lady at the counter was able to help us out. With a wide choice of other vendors I will definitely be using some one else next time.
They are good and always try to give you quick and awesome service to you. The representative are also good and helpful.

Please be aware of your flight delay when booking a car shortly to 12:00 a.m. Even if you have a confirmation for booking they will let you down. I was lucky enough that Avis still had cars to rent. Worst experience ever. Won't recommend Hertz here...even if you're a Gold Member at them...

Clearly not interested in my business. The website gave me one price but told me I had to call to book. The agent quoted a price that was 33% higher than the web price and couldn't change it.

Wouldn’t honour my reservation! Went to National instead and they took care of me even without a reservation.
I have visited this location previously and my previous experience was positive. However my most recent visit was not good. I was left waiting for over 2 hours as there were no cars. This was the case for me and several other passengers with reservations. While things are a bit messed up right now, this seems like it should be avoidable when you have a reservation. The only reason it's not 1 star is Rena, the lady who helped me was fantastic.
My job would allow me travelling across the whole Canada. Believe me this is the worst car rental experience I had. Hertz Car rental is everywhere, but this location ruin the reputation. It makes me don't want to visit Winnipeg again.
I would highly recommend this place to everyone traveling to Winnipeg. The girl at the counter named Brittany is very polite, helpful and caring she made my car rental experience a breeze. I've used other companies in the past but this has been by far my best experience. Thanks again Brittany.
They do rent a car without car-washing. They excuse cleaned up inside only because it will get dirty outside soon. Car stock is very limited. I cannot believe how Hertz runs business.
Met Brittany on our arrival at the counter. She is such a wonderful person to meet, she went above and beyond to get us what we wanted, she did brighten our day on arrival in Winnipeg for the first time. We will surely use this car rental next time because of her.
customer service is very racist and not curteous . The cars were not even cleaned, and as soon i left the airport the windshield liquid alert came up. There is a customer support called Sahaba... or something , very rude with customer.
Wow. They left multiple passengers (10+) waiting for vehicles that weren't there. After waiting for over an hour at the desk, they started to send people back to the terminal to wait at a restaurant. Absolutely embarrassing. Feels like they overbooked against available cars. The staff at the desk were entirely setup to fail.

I was told the car was in perfect shape. I had to go back inside to have them correct the documents before leaving because the car had a HUGE scratch on the corner of the front bumper. IMPOSSIBLE that whoever inspected the car missed it. Also, all rental car companies should invest an extra 30sec to better clean windows, specifically the winshield that are most often filled with greasy fingers and GPS suction mount marks.
Denied my reservation based on an Intermediate License. The agent explained the policy by telling me that the car would be impounded if I was pulled over without a full license in a rental. Not true!
Enterprise was my go to place but they never had a vehicle for long distances. Will be my go to place

Worst car rental experience I've ever had. I prepaid for my car rental to the amount of $158 for 4 days. When I arrived at the Winnipeg airport the Hertz employee told me there would be over $100 in additional taxes and fees on my bill. She was patronizing, unfriendly and borderline obnoxious. At one point she said "You can now take a deep breath Colin" like I was her child. She successfully upsold me the gas plan while neglecting to mention that Hertz would charge me for a full tank of gas if I drove over 250kms. I feel that was misleading and unfair. From the counter to the car return, the whole experience was awful and put a real damper on my family vacation. I've used 2 other rental car companies at the Winnipeg airport and both were terrific. Hertz brings the Hurt... that should be their slogan.

Very poor customer service yesterday from the counter staff. They attempted to push a small Buick Encore at the same price as the initially booked standard SUV Highlander ,Jeep or equivalent. When I asked about it they told me it is equivalent.... when I didn’t accept that they said I was lucky to get a car at all... would not recommend
Reserved a car for Saturday morning at 7 am,had a number of appointments that day. Nobody at the counter at 7am, nobody at the counter by 7:25 we finally had to call Hertz customer care in the States as the numbers for this place weren't being answered or sent to message service. Finally cancelled and asked for a refund. The US agent was very helpful and did so. The Hertz agent finally showed up at 7:45 as we were booking at another agency. Would not recommend this agency as you can't contact anybody with the numbers they provide. Non existent customer service.
I booked an intermediate sedan in advance for a 2-day work trip in early March, and was provided a Nissan Rogue (an upgrade at no charge). An employee named Brandon was manning the Hertz YWG rental desk when I picked up my rental (on a Monday night). He was efficient, friendly, and helpful. He gave me a map, directions, answered my questions and was simply lovely and pleasant. Thank you Brandon!
Not even one star. There was no car available for pick up. Poor communication. Bullying staff. The male person in charge of customer service on August 3 2018 @ 8:10PM was horrible. At first he Didn't try to help us with other car rental service. But later he told us to go and pick up from other renter because HERTZ deals with them. When I went to thrifty car rental the lady told me they don't have any deals or agreements between the two. He told false info to customers. He also misinformed me the location of Thrifty car rental.

I rent vehicles from the Winnipeg airport at approx once a week but this was my first time using Hertz (my usual vendors had all their vehicles rented out for the week). This was one of the worst rental experiences I had. I came to receive my vehicle and was told that I need to wait 45 minutes as they were “washing their cars”. I waited TWO hours to get the car and it wasn't even cleaned. Huge waste of time!

Terrible experience! I booked 8 seater SUV online a week and a half before my trip and confirmed twice with the representatives within that week and a half just to ensure my reservation is confirmed and i will get requested SUV. Night before my trip i called for a different reason at which time i was told that no 8 seater SUV is available and instead i was forced to take a 7 seater minivan. As we were already 7 people for the trip it was really conjusted and we were exhausted at the end of our long road trip. A customer service representative named Brittany was really helpful and apologetic about the situation. She also indicated that she has already let her manager know and they will get in touch me however, no response from the manager.
Called this location to let them know that i might be late returning a car due to blowing snow and extremely unsafe driving conditions. They told me that i had better drive faster because unsafe conditions were no excuse. Ended up being 10 minutes late on the return and was charged almost 20$.
Car selection could be expanded but great service and decent cars
We waited over 45 min for their system to reboot. Then... I was informed that my small SUV was actually a volvo "luxury". Since credit card insurance only covers to a certain value, I asked what the price was for the car to see if I was covered. The staff couldn't tell me... And I was forced to take the $50/day insurance. When I asked if I could just get the type of car i booked, they said they were sold out. "but I have a reservation"... That didn't seem to register with her. "we have been really busy... That's all I have". I then asked if the concept of "reservation" was different with hertz... No response. I spoke to the desk the next day and asked for a refund for the insurance. "I will see what I can do"... But still not certain it was removed.
I typically rent from Enterprise or Budget and I never have any difficulties getting my receipt. Hertz is a different story and I rent a car about 45 times per year. I guess this is why I don't rent from Hertz.
Rena served us on Oct. 23 and we were so impressed with her patience and excellent customer service. She waited patiently while we determined whether our car insurance covered rentals. I will definitely rent another car from Hertz at Winnipeg Intl. Airport.
The staff was helpful and directed us offsite for our MPI claim. It was challenging trying to find a rental car due to a city wide shortage. This tip was helpful.
For my work, I travel a lot. And I've been to many car rental offices especially Hertz. The good lady who helped me with my transaction put customer service at a much higher notch than many others I dealt with. Forgot her good name, thank you very much.

Rented a car for 6 days, had a pending charge, for 3 WEEKS that held my bank account hostage.
I dealt with the young lady by the name of Brittany. She answered all my questions and wasn't pushy with the extra products. She was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and had great customer service. I will definitely come back and rent from her again.
Absolutely wonderful experience renting at the YWG airport location. Booked a premium car, expected a Chrysler 300, but got into a fully loaded 2019 Volvo S60 T6 R-Design with 7000km. (Because of this rental, makes me want to buy one too!) Paperwork at the counter took 5 minutes max. Staff were all friendly and polite. Overall, a great 5-star worthy experience!!
