Used to do business regularly with this location, not anymore. They have 1 credit card machine that doesn't work, my credit card's magnetic stripe worked at the Enterprise next door and the gas station but wouldn't work with Hertz' fancy machine. The employees' help was limited to apologizing, telling me there was nothing more they could do and standing there awkwardly. If you have a couple hours that you'd like to see go down the drain, I suggest renting from this location.

Sloooooow service... I only rented at this location once but there was a major car shortage problems with customers with preexisting reservations having to wait 1+ hour after the reservation time for cars to arrive. Even when cars arrived, it took an average 10-15 minutes for the agent to complete each checkout (and those were all existing prepaid reservations). There was a billing error (system did not apply the CDP properly) so amount at the counter was different than amount agreed to during reservation, but the agent manually overrode it. I would avoid and go with AVIS across the street or on Jean-Talon (JT1) instead.

I rented a car on november 10th for one day. as I picked the car up, I realized it was dirty and not full of oil. I informed immediately the agent, who was a very nice employee, and he put a note on my file. I returned the car the next day. I went to the gas station just some minutes before. I dropped off the keys into a security box outside the office, since it was off hours. Next day: Big surprise! They charged to my credit card twice the original price. As I contacted them, they say that, by mistake, they charged me for the gas. They said that the amount was going to be returned to my credit card. Since that day, I have called twice and visited the agengy once. Even one agent on the phone just hung off and never returned the call. Every single time they argumented the same: "The payment will be soon shown in your card balance". I have no other choice than reporting this issue with Visa.

I have done business with Hertz twice and had terrible customer service both times. Employees both times would mumble and I could barely understand what they were saying. Had to make them repeat themselves multiple times. I went to return the car one time and had to wait 15 minutes outside because no one was there (this was in the afternoon). I will take a bus before doing business with them again. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

5 stars to the man who works there (we don't know his name, but he was present on Saturday noon May last week and June 1st week). Very friendly customer service. I deducted one star because : although no other customer was there when we went, I did see a few people drop by to collect their reserved car and wait for a long time since there was only this one person serving everyone. DO NOT RENT DURING COVID. This location is a disaster. I showed up to my rental booking to see absolutely no one there except for one person, no uniform or badge, who tells me the location is closed due to employees being sick from covid potentially. No notice/email/call at all. I actually called earlier in the day to confirm my booking and there was no answer from the branch so it got redirected to corporate where they said everything was fine and confirmed the booking. I ended up having to head down to the AIRPORT from Decarie which ruined my plans for the day. Apparently I can't talk to the manager till Tuesday, not sure why (might be sick as well). On top of all this, when I returned the car the guy overcharged me and I had to come back and sort out the refund (took another 20 min). He honestly couldn't even keep his mask on his face which was ridiculous. The car wasn't even clean (visible dirt so clearly they're not taking covid sanitation seriously) and the dashboard had a spot where it looked like someone melted it. Go to a downtown location from a different company where they're taking this pandemic seriously.

Hertz rarely disappoints. This is another location where you would be hard pressed to visit unless you happen to live in Montreal. It's a little out of the way, but if you know your way around, the personnel of this location will do their best to make it worth your while to visit. Hertz should also make an effort on becoming more price competitive.

Absolute disgrace to an already poorly looked upon profession. Car rental businesses already have a reputation for being “shady” and this location does not help the cause. If you are considering renting a car from this location be prepared when returning the vehicle for ridiculous extra fees. They take advantage of people on purpose. You will leave feeling completely scammed and rightfully so because you have been. My interaction with this location has left an awful taste in my mouth and has lost my business in the future. Surprise additional charges left to dispute with the credit card company. This location takes advantage of the vulnerable people in the community. Unreasonably long wait outside, which is a problem during rain or snow. No appreciation for the business. Cannot recommend this location to anyone. In case they tricked you - call your bank to reverse charges. You have up to 60 days to dispute charges with your bank. In the picture below sent by their rep they claimed gas tank was not full in the economy car and charged me 25 bucks. Chargebacks will help them do business better.
