I booed a car on June 3 20. From hertz deer lake nl. I received a call the morning of August 2 the day I was suppose to get the car with hand controls as I am in wheelchair. I was told they have no cars with hand controls and actually we don't have one at all. So I been in nl for over a week now with no way to get around. I use a cooperate account as we have business all over Canada and the USA we use these rental company for.. This has been the worst service I have received an I will be asking if uap can change supplier of rental cars for use.

Had to go from Edmonton to kelowna and it was super cheap! Then needed a rental for around kelowna and the people helping me were so friendly and gave me the best deal and service! Seriously saved me so much money. Give these guys your business!!!! You won't regret it

I have mixed feelings about my review. The pricing was great, and service at the airport was efficient, that being said though. I tried to call to prolong the reservation a day and 12 phone calls later, and being on hold 4+ times, and be disconnected as well, only to get the wrong person again and again, none of which could help me at all, except to tell me to call Kelowna, which I did several times already... anyway. I am unbelievably annoyed, frustrated and still without a conclusion to me quest. When I return the car tomorrow, I better not have more problems, unexpected fees or there will be an angrier review... I can't even find a place on the Hertz site to email customer service.

Deceitful practices, milking money from their customers anyway they can. Stay away.
The staff I dealt with at the Deer lake airport were wonderful and competent. After reading the last review only days before my own trip, I phoned ahead to verify that everything was in order and it was. There was a discrepancy between my initial booking total and the amount owing on my "reminder email" but the agents at Deer Lake had it all sorted out by the time I returned my vehicle. Don't bother calling the customer service at the 1-800 number, they're completely useless and that's an hour of my life I'll never get back, but the staff at YDF are great and will take care of you. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Stay away from these amateurs. Booked a car 3 weeks in advance and even though I am Hertz Gold they did not have a car for me when I arrived. I heard of two other persons that got the same treatment this week. Moreover Hertz is one of the few that does not have a counter at the airport, which is a joke. Enterprise Car Rental bailed me out on this one, grateful for their excellent service and car fleet!

Absolutely abysmal service. Despite our flight number being in our reservation and our flight arriving before closing, no one was working there. We waited for more than 15 minutes with other customers, all with reservations, and no one ever came. When I called Hertz to enquire, someone on the phone tried to send me to the Sheraton via hotel shuttle for a reservation. That would have been bad enough, considering how we had specifically reserved for a car at the airport, but get this! The Sheraton told us they don’t even have a Hertz location any more. All they have at the hotel are cars stored off site or some such nonesense. We were left to cab it (such a waste of money) and to find a rental car tomorrow. Terrible service. Thanks for nothing, Hertz, from the missing service person to the clueless phone person who almost sent us out into the cold winter night on a wild goose chase.

My scary experience was the teeth of the front desk agent, a person that works face to face with public. It made me so uncomfortable i just wanted to run away. To be honest, i did stop looking for a solution to get the coutesy vehicle mainly because that agent kept talking to me and all i could see were the horrible rotten teeth, like meth addict horrible. Horrible!!!! Like scare your kids straight horrible ????

I was arriving very late after the counter closed. I was told that getting a gold membership meant I could pick up keys at a nearby hotel that would collect me. They did and I got the car no problem. Only downside was that the tank was half-full and there were 4 or 5 chips on the windshield of varying sizes. I don't care too much about that, just don't want them to think it was me.

There's room for improvement. I am not sure wheather they were confused or trying to make more money out of me, but they refused to give me the ICBC discount for a rental car. I was given a discount code by ICBC and I was told by ICBC that I should receive a discount for the rental car. I went to a different Hertz branch and they gave this discount.
BOOK ELSEWHERE. Hertz YYT lacks even basic customer service. When I called to ask to have our daily rate corrected to match our online confirmation and to also complain about a hidden cost on my invoice and request a return call from a manager who had the ability to authorize a credit, the reply from the Hertz YYT agent was "so, you don't want a call back from anyone then, right? No one is going to call you back". When I spoke to reiterate my request, the agent kept talking over me, repeating that no one was going to call me back and that she was going to hang up on me: a statement and threat that both turned out to be true! I'm not sure that this agent is aware that she is in a service industry and should perhaps consider dialling back on her outright disdain for customers. The fact that she obviously couldn't cope with a frustrated customer is absurd. That she clearly found nothing wrong with her treatment of a frustrated customer is frankly appalling. How is this acceptable?! This on top of: *the location having no record of the child seat we booked online (which appeared on our emailed confirmation) *15 minutes at the counter at pick up and having to provide Hertz discount codes and related details (again, all on our confirmation) and they STILL billed us incorrectly for the daily rate, on top of the hidden, unexplained charge noted above *Hertz's main customer service line (and trained agents) being unable to view any information related to this location and thus having to transfer me to the incapable employees at the YYT location Foolish to have not booked with National Car (whom we have used at YYT in the past and been quite pleased with). I would have thought that a global company such as Hertz would be both more professional and capable, regardless of location. Corporate standards are hardly being upheld in St John's, NL. Horrid experience.

Late opening and tried to add on extra fees which were almost the same price as the total 14 day rental. Disappointed - will never go back. Ended up going to enterprise where they honoured hertzs initial price with out any extra hidden costs.

I travel across the country and have been renting cars from different rental companies. However, your Hertz franchise Nazmeen over there and her employees are the best I have ever come across when it comes to service & speed. Especially one of her employee by the name of Shayari works with lightening speed. I would strongly suggest them to my friends and anyone looking to rent a car. Truly impressed!!!

NOT EVEN WORTH A STAR IN MY OPINION. They DO NOT answer the phone, and when you do miraculously get someone to answer they are totally uncaring and uneducated with their own policies. If we hadnt re read and called back a zillion times we would have been screwed with no way to get back across country. THEY WILL NOT TAKE CASH OR DEBIT??? Quite honestly I do not understand this at all and what the heck happens if you do not own a credit card? Totally unacceptable behavior from staff and managers, confusing and totally backward site that is hard to book with. WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND TO ANYONE & now reading these reviews we also find out they are NOT located in the airport even though their staff assured us many times they are. Who the hell runs this company?

I flew from Edm to Deer Lake, 10 hours in the air, go to pickup my car, and they tell me they don't have any, and wont for 3 more days!, here I am in the middle of no where, they wont do anything for me, wont put me in a cab, wont rent you a car at another rental agency. The family behind me, told the same thing, we both had reserved 4 months in Advance. Do not trust them, do not give them 1 penny of your money, I wish I could give them 0 stars.

It's a shame it's off-site, but super easy to get there. They have a shuttle, or if it isn't available, they covered our taxi. You only need to call when arriving. Car was very nice, and very clean.
No one at the desk at vehicle return. Waited for 45 minutes. Nope! Called back two days later...no answer. Good luck. PS. The lady called back shortly after I posted...so all is not bad.
Booked oct 2. Called numerous times to confirm and when I got there They had no cars available on Oct 15. Never use hertz again. Never use Priceline again. Funny there was a 198.00 Charge on the credit card but no car.
This Hertz branch has actual criminals working at it. They gave me a car that had damage on it and told me not to worry about it, then when I returned it they charged me for all the damage! I have a video pre rental of the said damage. They did not return phone calls or emails and in the end I had to cancell my credit card to stop the charges. I should have called the police on these criminals.
Would reccomend Hertz Sheraton in Kelowna to everyone. The owner, Jesse and his wife are the kindest people ever who helped me and my friends out when we were basically hopeless & stranded. Jesse went above and beyond to ensure that we got a rental car when we had previously called every rental car company/ explored all other options and nothing was available. I could immediately tell that Jesse cared about his company and that he's just a genuinely nice & kind person. THANK YOU AGAIN, JESSE!!
No help. Very ignorant people who work and manage there, they were rude to us from the start and didnt explain anything about extra charges and other tidbits that we needed to know. We will never go back and will find a much better place next time.

This company and location is ridicolus, they are not located at the airport. There is no shuttle until 9 am and they also dont open until 9am. 10 am on weekends. I highly recommend any other vendor.

Great customer service . Been there twice already and will be back again for any rental needs if visiting kelowna. I would like to take a moment to thank you folks . I forgot my phone holder in car . I can't tell you how convenient it is for me to use phone with phone holder and how frustrating it is if i have to use phone without it . Anyways i went back to get a car rental again i asked them if they have it in lost and found section however chances were very low since it was a small things . Jasbir on reception went above and beyond and called their sorting place to check if they have it and found it . A person from sorting facility (Sandeep ) specially came in to give me that mount while i am still standing on the counter. There are only a few places you can find this kind of customer service / support to their customers. Will i recommend this place to anyone HELL yes! They made a lifelong relationship with Hertz! ????????????????????
They went above and beyond for me. I had issues with Priceline which I used to make the initial booking. The local office here went above and beyond to fix the issues and make my entire experience as easy as possible.
Chaque fois que je retourne un véhicule lors de jours fériés (ex: Noël, Pacques...) ils me chargent comme si j'avais remis la voiture à l'ouverture et ça correspond souvent à 2 ou 3 jours de plus que le contrat. Trop bêtes pour vérifier le contrat et présumer que la voiture a été remise comme convenu. Je dois me battre pour me faire rembourser et la première fois, je m'en suis redue compte plus d'un mois après de telle sorte que je n'ai jamais été remboursée (environ 300$). Présentement, j'attends un remboursement de 150$ depuis 3 semaines. Bref, je fais affaire avec eux seulement lorsque je n'ai pas d'autre choix, sinon je vais systématiquement chez Entreprise!
This is the worst car rental experience that I have had. I booked a car rental starting at 11am and ending the next day. Due to a flight delay, we arrived in kelowna much later than the original booking time. Prior to today I called hertz and asked them if there would be any problems with picking up the car later than originally booked. They said there would be no issue coming later to pick up the car. Upon arrival they tell me that I have to wait an hour for a car to be ready. This is totally unacceptable and not given any compensation. What kind of business takes reservations and gives no regard to them?! Do not recommend you book with hertz.
Negative experience. I had brought my car in for icbc repair @ No1 Collision and Hertz provided the courtesy car. The Hertz rep had said that the car had a full tank of gas & that I didn't have to fill up the tank when I returned the car. The next morning, I noticed that the low gas light was flashing. I went to fill up $20, not knowing when I would get my car back. My car was ready the same evening when I had put gas in the car. I had only driven the car 40kms, which the rental car can check themselves easily. I talked to Hertz about getting a partial refund for the gas I bought & they refused. The repair shop had told me that this wasn't the first time this has happened. I would recommend that No1 collision get courtesy cars elsewhere. I will never rent a car from Hertz. There are plenty of other car company that will treat their customers better. Poor customer service and dishonest.
Hertz counter located in arrival lounge of YLW. Selection of competitors nearby. Friendly service. Vehicle pick-up parkade is close to airport entrance. Was offered free upgrade to a premium vehicle on our visit. Vehicle was low-mileage and in good condition. The Hertz designated lot was full during our return, had to park at competitors stall. Note, the quoted fuel and service charge was more than twice the market rate. Self fill-up is recommended, especially on fuel-thirsty/large tank vehicles.

We had a reservation at this Hertz location a few weeks ago that was not honored, and the way that this location chose to handle was the issue was inexplicable. First of all, because of the current car rental shortage, we called to confirm our reservation 2 days before arrival specifically to ensure that there will be a car for us. When we landed at the airport, we called again, and this was when we found out that our reservation was given away. An agent called us, while we were on the plane, and said that it was because they "couldn't reach us." Where do you think people come from to rent cars? Isn't it presumable that picking up a rental car would be immediately preceded by a plane ride? Giving away the reservation notwithstanding, we were also fed with lies. We were told that there were no available cars to us anywhere in the Vancouver vicinity. The customer service agent made it sound like that there are zero cars at any Hertz location. In fact, she said the only solution would be to call around every Hertz location to see if another customer returned a car. I am not sure why this was not escalated to a manager, because the service agent started crying, and had no authority to make any decisions. When we hung up, we went to the car rental area of the Vancouver airport to check out our options, and the Hertz counter had cars....at a higher price. So, either Hertz's own system is completely incapable of showing its own inventory, or the Burnaby's location's agent was not given the authority to provide us with a car AT OUR ORIGINAL PRICE. Instead, we were made to feel like we were trapped and unable to move on to the next leg of our journey. What kind of problem solving skill is this? If you give away our reservation, you should provide us with an available car at the original reserved price. Even if you are unable to do that, you need to tell us that actual cars are available, and let your customers make the decision on whether we are willing to pay a higher price. Instead, you put us through an ordeal and panic that we are now unable to get to our final destination. Finally, having our reservation and having a car to honor that reservation is not the same thing. The reason we called to confirm was to confirm that A CAR is available, not that our reservation is showing up in the system. We know you have our reservation. That is in a computer .But clearly a car is not actually attached to that reservation, making the whole system completely pointless.
AVOID Hertz like a plague. Incorrect address causing us to be late. Impossible to get a hold of a staff on their phone asking you to press multiple prompts. Counterlady is absolutely dreadful. Don't expect them to honor your quote when you return the car and expect them to rip you off and raise the charges without a reason and then blame you for "not checking" when their manager came to admit it was an error in their Hertz system. Don't expect an apology either.

Had issues with returning a vehicle that did not have a full tank.
I returned my vehile to the airport parking lot in the correct stall and placed keys in the hertz drop box inside the airport terminal as instructed (4 am flight). 4 days later I received a voicemail asking when I was going to return the car and there was an additional $216 of charges on my Mastercard. I have spent days trying to call the number they left on the voicemail and I get no answer. It is impossible to talk to a human. I'll never rent from hertz again
I rented a car for three weeks at this location for $1000. I got to the location and they added an extra $800 in fees which included a deposit and an under 25 fee. I obliged and paid the extra fees even though on the website it stated all I needed to pay was $168 in taxes when I arrive. I ended up dropping off the car four days earlier than I initially planned. I got to the location and the individual working there told me to park the car and lock it. I was not directed where to put the keys as this was my first time renting a car. They stated that I should have put it in a drop box but how would I know if I was not told so I locked it in the car. As a result, they refused to refund me the rest of my money for the four extra days and were going to charge me extra because I locked the keys in the car. They said I have to pay for towing costs. This whole process as been a disaster and I am over $2,000 in the hole because of a 14 day rental. Customer service is very rude. The manager called me and was so rude and condescending and continued to tell me that it wasn't his problem. Please do not rent a car here. They try and squeeze all the money out of you with no remorse.
Wish I could give zero stars :(. My worst car rental experience ever! The agent who served me charged the wrong card even though I specifically said I did not want that. Then when I tried to get in touch with them there was no number to call except a 1 877...number, which took me to some call center and the agents at the call-center kept telling me they cannot connect me with the requested location and hanging up on me. I do not recommend this company
THIS AIRPORT RENTAL IS OFF SITE and only opens at 7 am so have to take cab (if they ever arrive - no UBER) to airport for early morning flights. Will never use again.

This is Karl Holmlund, (Madison's husband), and I am so extremely grateful for the service I received from this Hertz location. I have never posted online to review anything, but I have searched and searched for a place to post about this family run Hertz location. My flight out of Canada got canceled this evening, and the only option was to fly out of Vancouver the next day, which is a 4 hour drive. The woman at the front (Naz) and her husband were so empathetic and explained all of my options. They did have a 4 wheel drive car to take us through the Mountains, but they told me, "honestly, we don't want you to have to rent this car because it is such a dangerous drive." I had told them I have never really driven through the snow before, so they were looking out for me. Literally a minute later, I found out that my wife's grandfather just so happened to be making the 4 hour drive to Vancouver in the morning before our flight. When I told the family at the Hertz location about that, they were so grateful and glad that I did not need to pay for a car. They also explained to me that they can control their own rates 100%, which made me realize that they would fight for a good rate for me. If you want honest and good people to work with when renting a car, then don't do it at the airport, but go here!!!
Had an excellent experience here being looked after by Tracy. She exuded warmth, positivity, and joy in helping me find a car during a very tight circumstance. Very helpful and on top of it all, appreciative amongst the rest of the great staff. I loved the car, rented it for a fair price, and had a wonderful time in Nfld. Hertz is the place!!!!! Pre booked a car rental at kelowna Airport on arrival they ask what kind of car i wanted my response. Need a car to get me around visiting few properties. I got Mazda looked ok I drove to Vernon and pulled over for coffee and to place in all the properties navigation system and set the radio NO NAVIGATION NO RADIO SERIOUSLY I met collegue who tried to get at least a radio all that came up on the screen no speakers after several attempts we gave up who rents a car in this condition the guy tried to tell me I needed to specifically ask for navigation. and didn't believe me the radio was hooped as for cheap rates $70 for this type of garbage for 24hrs is ridiculous never renting hertz again

I phoned late in the day on wed May 2/2018 needed a vehicle they told me they were all out, then the manager at the Still creek location in Burnaby told me actually I have a Hyundai Sante fe.. So i took the bus to this location about 40 min and 5 min walk..He took all my info then said actually the Sante Fe is unavailable..The only vehicle I can give you is a Dodge journey..To make the story a little shorter My wife had owned one of these and it was a terrible ride, hard on fuel etc.. I explained sorry I am not driving this vehicle again, and he said Oh well thats all we have... he knew I took the bus there as well..When i asked to speak to the manager he said he was the manager..I pleaded please can you find me a vehicle he said NO! Please people dont use this rental agency..your waisting your time, customer service is terrible!

Recently rented a midsize from Hertz on Boundary. Very impressed by the service. Kane was especially helpful! Definitely recommend this business.
Not impressed. Reserved a 4 door sedan ("Camry" or equivalent). They give me a Grand Caravan beast which I drive for a few days and check back at the only location in the area and still "no cars available, nothing". So I'm stuck with a smudged window minivan for 2 weeks. Budget's lot is literally crammed with dozens of crisp cars of every type...for next time.
After booking a car with Enterprise that resulted in the wrong location, and no offer of assistance from Enterprise, we visited the Hertz desk. Terry was absolutely amazing! We ended up having some difficulties with the car that we rented and Terry was quick to offer up solutions and before we knew it, the problem was solved! This guy is the definition of customer service!
In my line of work I am renting trucks for field workers daily... The gentlemen at this location have gone ABOVE and BEYOND in helping me source out vehicles, provide info in regards to billing options and account set ups, as well as ensure our trucks are properly equipped for remote work... I truly cannot say enough about how helpful, kind and on it this team is! Thank you ALL! Big ups! :)

Rented a Toyota Camry and it came with the wrong sized tires. They were way too small and much smaller than the manufacturer recommended 205/65/16.
NIGHTMARE! IDIOTS!! Hertz as a whole company has been just awful to deal with, the worst service. I cant believe it...I have been calling the Kelowna Airport location to get them to close out my rental because they have "forgotten" to close out my rental. I have been getting charges daily. I have left numerous voicemails and no one from this location has contacted me. When I called the customer service line, no help and no answers. No one I know will use Hertz again, I will make sure of it.
Bad service. These guys firstly show all vehicles available and after reservation they are left with nothing on the spot, should take back this branch if not able to understand the responsibility. This is the reason why i suggest every known person not to visit here. Should think about it Hopefully????????

Waited for 15 minutes for a customer service agent to come to the counter. When he finally arrived he said hi and then the phone started ringing. Guess what he does...walks right by me, sits down at his desk, answers the phone and then says to the customer on the phone "let me check to see if we have a minivan for you'. After 2 minutes of being ignored while he deals with the customer on the phone, I walked away. Absolutely worst service ever. Reprehensible. Will never use Hertz again and will now avoid Destination Toyota until they kick Hertz out of their dealership.
Came in this morning on a very early flight. No issues with prompt shuttle service. Most of all, Tracy made the check-in service very easy, smooth and fast. She was extremely friendly, professional, down-to-earth and efficient. She is an asset to your operation and will rent again based on my experience with Tracy. Thumbs up!
WORST experience I've ever had with a rental car agency. After picking up a car from their Kelowna location and having flight plans change on me I needed to drop off the car at the Penticton airport. Turns out they don't have a location at the airport (Budget and National do, I will be using these companies next time) so I tried to call the Kelowna office for assistance. No answer, despite calling repeatedly during work hours, and the 1-800 customer care line was worse. After finally getting ahold of the Kelowna office I was told it was my problem with no attempt made at assistance or accommodation. I will never again use a Hertz rental car agency.
Terry dawe the manager of the branch is soo rude doesn’t know how to talk to customers pathetic service He was asking an additional $150 charging for cutting the keychain wire so that we can use the second key just in case we loose the second one and it was nowhere in the company document about the charge and nobody told us upfront as well Moreover the car they gave us was running on all-season tires not even winters and that is when there is snow outside
Car was ready when promised. Staff were extremely helpful and explained everything to us up front. Extended rental for one extra day with no problems. Nice vehicle. Would highly recommend this location to anyone.
Had reservation booked for 3 days. Show up to get vehicle and no one available.. waited for 45 minutes to no avail. Tried to reach out to customer service.. no answer. Missed an appointment as a result. Occured on 8am 29 July 20. Unacceptable
Yes, this is an off-site rental location, but the shuttle was easy and efficient, the wait both to pick up and return was zero, the car was exactly what was requested, and the service was top-notch. None of the usual drama trying to coax you into a free gas-guzzling upgrade or waiting 20 minutes for the shuttle to pick you up. Tracy and Shane were both extremely courteous and friendly in getting us on our way out the door and back to the airport. Impressed.
I returned a car to this location, and as I was waiting for my flight to depart, I couldn’t remember if I’d taken something out of the car. They went to check for me and sure enough I did. They brought it to me at the airport cafe with a smile. Thank you!

This company billed me 6 times what we agreed to when booking the rental. When I called about it they said yes sorry we screwed up, but didn't offer any resolution. Very disappointed.
We have always had terrific service from the people at the counter, especially Terry. I trust Hertz and have always received the proper rental. I can say that with other companies I have rented from. Hertz Airport Kelowna is my go to car rental company. Thank you Terry for the amazing service and friendly attitude you always give.

They are not honest. I returned the car with half a tank and was severely penalized for it. They charged U$ 9.99 (american dollar) a gallon for gasoline and administrative fees totaling almost a week's rent. Until recovery of air conditioning recovery they charge. Honestly I had never seen this type of charge in rental companies. The estimated rental fees are illustrative, in the end they charge you for other things without your knowledge. I will never come near that company's counter again, they clearly take advantage of situations to take their money.
Wanted me to sign vechile condition form before I inspected for damage. Windshield wash tank was empty, had to purchase windshield was. You would think they'd ensure the windshield wash tank was full before renting.

I have been a loyal Hertz Kelowna customer for some time, but I was very disappointed by my recent experience with them. Despite having paid for a full 48 hours' rental, I was charged a late fee for returning the car well within the timeframe that I paid for. I was told different things by different representatives. I asked when I picked up the rental if it was okay to return it in the morning (which still fell within 48 hours), and they said it was fine--as it should be. But then when I called the night before to ask about extending the rental, I was told that the car was urgently due back that night, even though it wasn't yet a full 48 hours! So then I asked again about returning the car in the morning (still WELL within the 48-hour window), and the customer service representative said that it would indeed fall within the 48 hours I was paying for, but that they "couldn't guarantee" that I wouldn't be charged a late fee. It makes absolutely NO sense--even the Hertz representatives are confused! I know it's not the representatives' fault, and they are probably as frustrated as I am! This seems to be a common practice of Hertz these days, judging by what I was told by the representatives themselves about other people facing the same issue as me. I was even shown the number to call to complain about the unjust late fee, to hopefully get it reversed. The only saving grace was the representative I dealt with when I returned the car (sorry, I can't remember your name)--he was amazing! Next time I am in need of a rental car, I will deal only with him. Anyways, unless this ridiculous practice is abolished, I will likely avoid Hertz altogether in the future--and you may be wise to do the same!

1st morning I see a small chip in the lower left corner of the windshield. There was absolutely no way it occurred with what little I driving I did. The crack is the size of a nickel in the lower left of the windshield. I return the car after hours. The hertz rep tells me I have to buy a new windshield. I state the above. He says you have to buy a windshield. I ask why not fix it. He says you have to buy a windshield. As a Gold member for over 15 years I find this Hertz site to be dishonest and aggressive in their billing.
You guys need to work on your customer service.When you have a first time customer you better explain everything to them and clarify expenses so you gain their trust. I tried to figure out the expenses by asking you questions but you didn’t give me a proper explanation. Even after I returned the car you didn’t send me any receipts. Thanks

Never use this company ever again made a reservation to rent a car already paid for it noone is at the desk at the time that we supposed to pick up the car called the number and they said employees got off early ( seriously?) and what we can do is complain at the customer service tmr thats what exactly the guy on the phone said this is a completely joke
Unknown charge from the agent on the day the agent said there is no charge. Based on what other people says, it may seems the guy maybe charged for fuel which we filled (full) more than what was original (7/8) . Clearly discussed if there is no charge and confirmed and all deposit will be back too (deposit was back). I do not like this type of experience. I do use rental cars (before covid) quite often during my biz trip but almost no time happen this and always every agent asks about gas, which this location does not ask at all. It is basically having customers credit card as a ransom to charge over here and there without informing customer. I will bring this up all the way and everywhere I can. Customers are also busy and no time to deal with this type of issues!! ——- Update: After over a month, the money is returned but if you dare to go here, be prepared. Not because the guy at the location requested for the return (if the guy did, HQ said there is no such request) but contacted Hertz directly to get the money back with all explanations and send a copy of receipt with the mileage information. This could be something to do because of Hertz is going through the major financial difficulties but still, that is the reason that Hertz must be more careful during such time period to maintain its customers. If you read this message, please briefly read through other reviews except the one blowing his own horn by setting score 5 from own employee and the Hertz appreciating...

Bad customer experience
I left a CD in the player in the car I had rented....I called from the airport, a few minutes later..left a message. I left my name, the car I had just returned and my phone number. No one returned my call. I waited, and tried again a few weeks later. They said there was nothing in the lost and found, that obviously the CD hadn't been in the player (yes it was).... At least I got to speak to someone but she was indifferent. How about caring, even if it is just a CD ?? And yea...they aren't at the airport.
Trying to get hold of a Kelowna airport representative for the last two hours and impossible. The number posted is a call centre and again try everything possible to stop you getting a real human being including saying there will be a charge for talking to someone. Sooooo frustrated. Never again.
Booked online big mistake. Hidden fees are not explained and they have the worst customer service at the call center. Wilk never use them again and will never recomend them to anyone.

Reservation for a pick-up truck 5 days before. Went to get the truck, no truck, no similar vehicule and zero compensation. They could have at least send an email... Lost a whole day of work.

Rented a car for 3 days, returned full of fuel and within allocated timeframe and have had nearly $200 withdrawn from our account with any explanation nearly a month ago and after trying to follow up multiple times and just getting sent from person to person on the phone no one could tell me why it was charged and no one has gotten back to me since, absolute horrible customer service on behalf of the agents at the airport and the support line. Certainly wouldn’t recommend anyone going through hertz Kelowna airport

I was a bit shaken due to the previous reviews, but everything went well for me. They had my car ready and the service was good. The only downside is that they don't have a desk in the terminal, but their office is just a few minutes away if you walk. A shuttle is also available.

Extremely poor customer service by Alex and very disappointed. I booked rental car for Saturday April 3 due to my urgent work and when I went to pick up my car, there was a nail in the tire and was clearly visible. I showed Alex while inspecting the car and he told me to drive the same car which was not safe, I might get stuck in middle of nowhere specially over the weekend. There were another 3 cars and when I asked about those he told me those are booked for Monday and I explained I can’t take almost flat tire car, could clearly see air was less and I’ll be back tonight only so you can rent it out on Monday but he refused and told me that other agent made your booking and I can’t help you out. Even though I made booking with other agent but both agents are with hertz and it was his responsibility to accommodate. Even the car was dirty the one he was offering and told me that I would need to clean and sanitize. During this pandemic this was the poorest customer service I have ever seen. No humanity and no respect, he told me to leave when I told him to give me other car. He ruined my day and left me stranded just because he wanted to go home early. That was totally unacceptable. I gave tonnes of business to hertz by mouth advertisement but not anymore not worth. Alex was the most rude and disrespectful person I have ever met and he should not be part of customer service.
Make sure to take a photo of your car fuel level when you return it. Those guys charging you after you returned it almost a month later. When I got this car, the fuel tank was at half. Unfortunately, I made a mistake add full tank gas just before I return it, so the return volume is at 3/4, that is more than half tank. Today, I checked my credit card, they charged me almost 30bucks for gas. What hell is this? You got to be kidding me. Just because I have checked my statement, otherwise they charged me without any notice. I am so mad at them, that is terrible!
Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. Yasmine was able to accommodate my last minute changes and was understanding of the situation. Quick and easy drop off and my bill quickly printed and was accurate. Thanks for the great trip!
Rental prices and service match or eclipse the competion. A very pleasant experience compared to the Hertz of 10 years ago.
Most expensive preauthorization out of rental car company's. Suggest using enterprise. Always cheaper to use Hotwire no matter which company you book.

I had to wait over an hour for the shuttle to pick me up even though the lady on the phone said the driver was on their way. I phoned 3 times during that hour and no one picked up. I also received the vehicle with only 5/8 of a tank of gas even though the rental agreement showed it to be full. When I talked with them about these things the acted as if I was the one expecting too much... This town needs more options
Rented car online, came to location they told me it would cost 200 more. Showed them the internet receipt and estimated price, after arguing with them for 40 minutes they told me they would get their manager to fix it. Returned the car at different location after 7 days... price wasn’t fixed. Going to lodge formal complaint

My name is TARLOK and rented a van today 29th of nov, When I went to pick up the van around at first avenue they said van is not an available anymore so I asked it was rented under my name but they said it’s gone and offered me Hyundai car I refused it and left their office so disappointed it was closing time every others was going to close as well, do not rent car here if you don’t want to destroy your vacation.
The worst car agents ever. They will give a different car of what you booked, then they will try to scam over car scratches which you have nothing to do with. I had an awful experience with them.
This company has mostly has all new vehicles on their fleet from high power Mustang convertible to larger luxury SUV to the economy minded individuals looking just to move about town good service

I read the other reviews, but my experience was OK. My advice if you book - call them when you arrive so they send the shuttle or just walk the 15 mins, they will also get your paperwork sorted ahead of time. Quick walk, no line, and my car was less expensive than all of the other rental agencies. Not the most convenient but worth it if you can get a good deal.
Excellent Experience! We rented a car for a roadtrip to Jasper/Banff and back. A girl called Fateemah made everything possible for us and we were treated with excellent service. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone!
