I had been switching car rentals company for several years. The only things that I want is a car, low cost rental and no hassle. I finally found the car rental that answer my needs. YUL is one of my frequent visit, I never had a problem. friendly and fast service.

Got a parking ticket while renting and Alamo just paid the ticket before I could appeal. Additionally, they charged me an $18 Admin fee for "paying the ticket". What an unethical way to make money. Not renting from these money grabbers again. Edit: In the below message, they ask me to contact them only to tell me that they're not the department to receive my complain, instead I should contact the same department that mishandled my case in the first place. These company is a joke.

Rented my car on June 18th, from YUL. The clerk had his customer service mastered as he offered a relatively cheaper upgrade. It was a pleasure speaking to him and I was out of there in 5 minutes. Car was great, return process was easy as well.

Rent a car in August for 3 Days. On the receipt it says “Toyota Corolla or similar”. So I was expecting Toyota Corolla, or Honda Civic, or Nissan Sentra. None of those, before I could choose they gave me a Kia Soul... Kia Soul!?!? That definitely is NOT the same class as the description. Plus, it is the ugliest car I’ve ever driven. What a shame. 0 Star for me

I reserved a ' drive away happy" deal as I always do. When I got there the gentlemen wanted to give me a pick up(Frontier). I told him I do not want that , his response was: You took a drive away happy deal , what did you expect ?? I do not think that was the appropriate response , I ended up having to pay extra to get a vehicle that was more appropriate.

I rented through Costco so got a great rate. On arrival I was upgraded from full-size to SUV, excellent vehicle. Unfamiliar with how to start car and use selector knob, an agent very kindly and competently showed me how. What more could a customer ask. Excellent service, return went swiftly and smoothly.

I have no problem with the YUL staff, the vehicle, and price. All were great. Ending was not. I was asked to provide a review but have yet to receive my receipt. I returned the car on Sept 14, have no confirmation the car was returned, have no digital receipt, and no way to expense this until I get it. I am writing this on Sept 18. I tried to resolve this by calling the call centre - spoke to a defensive and rude rep. I asked if the 5 business day processing was a joke because I immediately receive my receipt with AVIS (Pref Plus) after I return my car (same airport). I cannot rent a car from Alamo as along as they 1) cannot provide a digital receipt and 2) simplify the car return process.

Worst rental company I’ve ever dealt with. The worst customer care. I rented the car for 6hrs to drop of in another location and non of those two branches accepted to communicate with the other one to find the dent was already there. I was about to miss my flight due to poor managment they give me too much stress and even after i called customer care nobody is even apologized. DONT RENT FROM THEM.

Booked a reservation online from Alamo's website. Took a taxi to go pick it up the next day and the front desk person told me the reservation was canceled because they didn't have a car available. I didn't receive any cancellation notices whatsoever so I was pretty upset and asked her to help me book another car at which point she gets annoyed. I wanted to talk to the manager to see if there was anything that could be done and the front desk lady screams at me to go sit down and wait because she has other customers to serve.

(Translated) Very nice experience :) I had reserved a vehicle at the downtown Alamo for the Easter weekend and they called me the same day to tell me that there was no more car available ... Panicking I made a last minute reservation at the Alamo from the airport with the accelerated check-in for 4pm. I arrived 20 minutes early and the gentleman immediately checked my license and my credit card and then told me about the insurance. I then signed the contract and the beautiful car was in my hands in no time. The car was also of a higher class than the one I had reserved! For the return trip, it was great. I gave the keys to the gentleman and he told me that I could already leave. A very clear and detailed invoice then appeared in my Alamo Insiders account the same day. My only complaint is that initially I was not advised of the gasoline options. I could have saved some money by going to refuel myself instead of paying $ 44 for the refueling charge. In addition, it should be noted that a fee of $ 20 apply if you are under 25 and a fee of $ 17.55 + $ 4.10 for the private location (airport parking). However, I already knew this in advance before I even got there. J'ai ensuite signé le contrat et la belle auto était entre mes mains en un rien de temps. L'auto était également d'une classe supérieure à celle dont j'avais réservée ! Pour le retour, c'était super. J'ai donné les clés au monsieur et il m'a dit que je pouvais déjà partir. Une facture très claire et détaillée est ensuite apparue dans mon compte Alamo Insiders le jour même. Ma seule plainte est le fait qu'au départ on ne m'a pas avisée des options d'essence. J'aurais pu sauver de l'argent en allant faire le plein moi-même à la place de payer 44$ pour le refueling charge. De plus, il est à noter que des frais de 20$ s'appliquent si vous avez moins de 25 ans et des frais de 17,55$ + 4,10$ pour l'emplacement privé (parking de l'aéroport). Cependant, je le savais déjà d'avance avant même d'arriver là bas. En gros, je n'hésiterais pas à refaire affaires avec eux :)

Although I rented before with Alamo last year, there's a clear difference from other companies even Enterprise (same group). The agent first didn't want to add my spouse on the contract despite having a copy of her permit and I always add her without problems claiming she should be present in person. Second he added a surcharge for her although she's my partner and all agencies in QC and perhaps everywhere in Canada do it without any charge. He only removed it after calling his colleague.

A really bad experience. They claimed damage to the car which I was unaware of, and didn't contact me at all during their "investigation" instead they passed my information to a debt collection agency who hounded me for payment on a charge that I had no way of disputing. Despite trying to contact them several times to discuss, none of my calls were answered or returned. Their system is so poor that they didn't actually have my details on file to give the collection agency. I learned a harsh lesson in doing the right thing. Don't use them if you have any expectation of customer service or hope that they will do right by you as a customer.

Great customer service. I had pre booked a car and when I got there I was told that they no longer had the after hours drop box at this time due to thefts (Calgary wide). Without any argument required, the representative began problem solving for me after I explained there was no way I'd return in time (before noon) and would be unable to return the keys in the morning (I lived a $15 cab ride away). Alamo ultimately sent someone to my house the next day to pick up the keys! Very convenient, very professional. The car was great quality and the representative walked outside to record any scratches and bumps with me.

Flexible and good pricing. Be careful and book your car early for the holiday season as they run out of car fast. Book for an early pickup during that period To have access To a broader selection of cars(especially Premium cars). When you bring back your car check the receipt To see if they did not overcharged you. This happened to me and i am still waiting for the refund on my bank account. On a good side : service and customer representatives are really knowledgeable, helpful and patient.

I have rented with Alamo countless times. Alamo can look me up in their database and see for themselves. I was just there recently on sat 17th of February. Ralph was not only extremely rude (worst customer service on his end) but he also didn’t advise me of the recent $250 hold. That was a key selling point with Alamo. I will strongly reconsider renting with Alamo again... very very disappointing.

Had a reservation at 5pm but they were late and got my rental at 6pm. The manager was absolutely amazing and started charging us from the following day. (We got 1 day free) and gave us 1 hour extra to return it. When we got the vehicle it was nice and clean. Unfortunately it was a basic trim model (maybe that explains the cheaper rental rates than others). Other than that, A1 and great customer service! Highly recommend!

Car rental with Alamo at the Montreal airport has always been a great experience for me. Very nice agents unlike their neighbor rental desk at Budget and Avis, which probably have the most rude and unhappy agents hired for the job. I rented a mini van and the windshield was cracked when. I noticed it the next day at the hotel, I called to tell them and the person I spoke to said I had to take it up with the manager and he was'nt in at the time. When I dropped the car of the return manager said he had to look at the video and talk to a man by the name of Chico. Chico said he never spoke to me and the manager said he would inform me of a desision. When we arrived home the was a message stating that he was making a claim on the windshield. I called several times to Alamo and left messages to call me, but two days have passed and no one has called. I am very disappointed in the service I received on this matter, apart that everything else was great.

The only confusing part was finding the actual office when landed I wish there were more signs to let people know where the pick up office was. Willingness to help was definitely there & has a lot of patience! Overall experience was phenomenal. Got a very clean 2021 Elantra. It wasn't a basic model even though that's what you normally get at car rentals now a days. Not a single dust particle or grime. They did a great job at maintaining their vehicles. Finding the way in was confusing as there's constant construction around the airport and the customer service line is a nightmare to reach. Other than that, I have no complaints! Definitely will be renting from them again.

Wow - great service! I have been renting here for a while and always get good service. But this time there was a tiny problem with the car - I could not connect my phone using bluetooth. I brought it back and they gave me a new car within ten minutes! No, that was not a typo. I drove up, explained the problem, the employee ran out to get someone to help me, and eight or nine minutes later I was driving away in my bluetooth-working car. Merci hommes d'Alamo!

We reserved a Jeep Wrangler for our March Break family ski trip to Mont Tremblant. The vehicle was new, clean and ready for us when we arrived. The Alamo employee was friendly and efficient and we were on our way within 15 minutes of arrival. The vehicle return at the airport went smoothly as well. The signage was easy to navigate to the rental car returns area in the airport parking garage. The employee quickly scanned the vehicle as returned, checked the fuel level as full and we were on our way into the terminal to fly home. Overall a great experience with Alamo at the Montreal Airport.

Excellent service at the front desk informed all aspects of the rental including the always confusing information about insurance options. Waiting time was acording to expectations. Car was a brand new, excellent conditions. Reception at return and billing were according to expectations as well. Please inform alamo insiders clients that they should go to the front desk at this station (YUL Airport) anyway, and not going direct to the kiosk inside to get the keys.

The person at the airport did not do the car check when I went to pick it up. Because of previous experiences I knew we it is important to do it, so I had to ask him to check with me for some scratches so he filled the car check form. Thank to that when I returned the car, the person in charge told me about the scratches and I showed them the car drawing with the confirmation that they were there already. Also the car did not have a shovel, only winter broom.

We had an unfortunate accident while on our family vacation. When my wife rolled and broke her ankle we were many hundreds of kilometers from the Montreal airport. Returning the car in our circumstances was impossible as my wife was just released from hospital after surgery. Alamo station manager in Montreal has kindly allowed us to return the car in Sydney, where there was even no Alamo station. This kind of service is hard to find these days! Taking my hat off. We rented a car through ADAC Germany in Montreal (at Alamo) from April 3rd, 2018 to June 23rd, 2018. Alamo made three rental contracts out of this. We then rented two child seats and a navigation device on site. The Alamo employee confirmed to us when renting the car that the rental fees for child seats and navigation devices are fixed rates for the entire rental period. So we initially paid the fees of 140 CAD (child seats) and 77 CAD (navigation device) as a “one-off” fee. Then in the middle of May we experienced the first surprise. For the second rental period (May 2nd, 2018 to June 2nd, 2018), a further CAD 447 was automatically debited from our credit card. We were partially reimbursed this amount after personal consultation with Mr. Mircea Dan. After returning the vehicle, we experience the next surprise. Our credit card was charged again for $ 488.30. So we paid for child seats and navigation devices three times. From our point of view, this is fraud. We tried to resolve the matter directly with the Alamo, but it was unsuccessful. We have also been trying to get a reverse booking through the ADAC since June 30, 2018, no reaction! Despite multiple attempts to date (August 30, 2018), no response has been received by email or phone. We now have to pay almost € 890 (!) (CAD 1,343.40) for the child seats and a navigation device as rent. For this price we could have bought several child seats and navigation devices. Despite multiple inquiries by e-mail and by phone, neither Alamo nor the ADAC comment on the debits on our credit card. We have already tried to clarify the matter by email with Mr. Mircea Dan (Assistant Directeur Station Manager Aeroport Int de Montreal) and with the ADAC. To date we have not received any feedback. (Original) Alamo, nein Danke! Sehr kinderunfreundlich und wenig kundenorientiert über 1.000 CAD für ein GPS und zwei Kindersitze. Wir haben über den ADAC Deutschland in Montreal (bei Alamo) ein Auto vom 03.04.2018 bis zum 23.06.2018 gemietet. Daraus hat Alamo drei Mietverträge gemacht. Vor Ort haben wir dann noch zwei Kindersitze und ein Navigationsgerät gemietet. Der Mitarbeiter von Alamo hat uns bei der Anmietung bestätigt, dass die Mietgebühren für Kindersitze und Navigationsgerät fixe Raten für die gesamte Mietzeit sind. Somit haben wir zunächst „einmalig“ die Gebühren in Höhe von 140 CAD (Kindersitze) sowie 77 CAD (Navigationsgerät) bezahlt. Mitte Mai erlebten wir dann die erste Überraschung. Für den zweiten Mietzeitraum (02.05.2018 bis 02.06.2018) wurden uns über die Kreditkarte automatisch weitere 447 CAD abgebucht. Diesen Betrag haben wir nach persönlicher Rücksprache mit Herrn Mircea Dan teilweise erstattet bekommen. Nach der Rückgabe des Fahrzeugs erleben wir dann die nächste Überraschung. Unsere Kreditkarte wurde erneut mit einem Betrag von 488,30 CAD belastet. Somit haben wir Kindersitze und Navigationsgerät drei mal bezahlt. Dies ist aus unserer Sicht Betrug. Wir haben versucht die Angelegenheit mit Alamo direkt zu klären, kein Erfolg. Auch über den ADAC versuchen wir seit dem 30.06.2018 eine Rückbuchung herbeizuführen, keine Reaktion! Per Mail und per Telefon ist trotz mehrfacher Versuche bis heute (30.08.2018) keine Antwort eingegangen. Wir haben jetzt nahezu 890 € Euro(!) (1.343,40 CAD) für die Kindersitze und ein Navigationsgerät als Miete bezahlen. Für diesen Preis hätten wir mehrere Kindersitze und Navigationsgeräte kaufen können. Trotz mehrfacher Rückfrage per Mail sowie per Telefon äußert sich weder Alamo selbst, noch der ADAC zu den Abbuchungen auf unserer Kreditkarte. Wir haben bereits versucht die Angelegenheit per Mail mit Herrn Mircea Dan (Assistant Directeur Station Manager Aeroport Int de Montreal) sowie mit dem ADAC zu klären. Bis heute haben wir keine Rückmeldung erhalten.

Somewhat inconsistent level of equipment on vehicles at least in the compact SUV category from YUL Sometimes received an amazingly well equipped Nissan Rogue SUV (with automated lane tracking / steering) when I booked a Compact SUV for a very reasonable price. The last week I got an equally well equipped Ford Ecosport AWD Titanium but this weekend, in the same fare category, in ended up with a very poorly equipped Nissan Kicks without AWD, and extremely basic comfort trim; the bottom rung in the economy category. I did pay a premium of 50% over the standard car category for what is basically is higher roofline low end Sentra. Cars though are always clean and in good shape.

Actually I was there by my reservation time 11pm the guy he closed the office and he was about to going home he was in his car and I said him that I have the reservation and I was here by my reservation time. Alamo is my go to rental company as they’re usually very reasonably priced and have a nice selection of vehicles. The SUVi rented this time left much to be desired. The vehicle had not been cleaned, one of the headlights was not working and the wipers barely cleared the window. I also noticed an issue with the acceleration be sticky one minute and sort of taking off on its own the next. When I dropped the car off the guy was very taken aback when it told him about the issues. He acted almost as if it was a personal insult against him. I just thought they might like to know so they could fix the issues.

In Montreal it is another story! The customer service at Montreal airport is very bad. I rented a car and returned it on time and took my flight back to Winnipeg to discover that they billed me more than I signed for. WORST place to rent a car EVER! This is the most unprofessional car rental company I have ever dealt with. This is the experience I have undergone from renting a car for 1 day from Almao After renting a car for less then 24hr Alamo has debited my debit card without my consent and in violation of the condition of our contract. And has managed to take over $4000 from my account. Almao claimed a false damage by email in order to justify this illegal withdrawal. Almao gave me 48hrs to agree or disagree. How can they justify this without any substance and not even the mention of a damage? Is this bad faith and them to trying to make me panic? After several days and my outright rejection of this unqualified damage and countless emails Alamo ended up sending me a report mentioning a dent on the passenger door, without any photo or even a mention on the diagram where this damage is. I do not call this a report and Alamo was not capable of sending me photos before any repair. This is proof of what they have taken from me is an extreme accumulation of bad faith and shows their intent right from the start. I receive an email today saying they will take 60 days to analyse the situation! This tactic of trapping your one day customer and withholding his money for months is illegal and unethical. I am publishing my story so that future customers can judge for themselves whether they want to rent a car from Alamo! Don't forget Alamo and Enterprise Car Rental are the same company. Whatever time it takes I am going to get my money back!

Thank you for inviting me to provide a review of my recent rental. I chose to rent from Alamo because of the excellent service I have experienced in the past. Unfortunately I cannot say the same this time. The service provided by the agent was courteous. However, it left a lot to be desired. Since my personal vehicle is a Prius C, I tried to rent a small vehicle. When I have rented vehicles in the past I was usually given the opportunity to choose the type of vehicle. To my surprise the agent simply indicated that my rental vehicle was a full-size Dodge Charger. He indicated where the vehicle was parked and sent us on our way without any further information. I was left on my own to discover how to start the vehicle, open the trunk, open the gas tank, adjust the seats and turn on the heat. Needless to say, my experience with Alamo this time has left a very negative impression. I certainly do not wish to repeat this experience the next time I rent a vehicle.

AVOID Alamo!!!! I had an accident, and Alamo was very quick in taking the deductible (less than 10 seconds). However, it takes them more than 70 days (I'm still waiting) to provide me with a simple invoice of the actual costs of the damage. Without this I cannot claim back the deductible from my insurance company. You see, they make it pain for you to get money back from your own insurance company, so they can sell their overpriced insurance. Wish I knew the name of the employee who helped me on Friday, as he was a pleasure to deal with. He quickly helped secure a similar vehicle when the one I had booked was not available. This is the worst car rental ever. Me and my family did 5 car reservation. They saw that we had the same last name and assume that it was the same person. So there was not enough car for us. And i reserved the car at 11pm and returned the car at 10:58. I saw the cashier leaves so they charged me an extra day. I called them and they told me that i was in front of the office at 11:01. I will never rent on this car rental again.

If uncoils give less than one star I would. Worst customer service. I’ve booked with Alamo for the last 11 years and at least 18times. Now we booked a car and asked if we can get a mini van seeing as we travel with 2 kids. Only answer we get is „no we don’t have bigger cars“ there was no interest in trying to fix the situation. When I asked if there is any solution because we travel with 2 small kids and had a long flight. It was just „no“. When we saw that we can now book a bigger car online the manager told my wife „if you book a big car now I’ll cancel the booking“. And when we asked if there are cars coming in the next days so we’d manage a day here without a car the answer was „i don’t know, maybe“. Avis and hertz both hat vans available so we went to them. As an over a decade long customer and Alamo insider that was beyond disappointing and I’m not sure I’ll book over them in Montreal again!

I had no problems with my recent rental but midway through the period, I wanted to view my rental agreement/reservation details online. However, after I entered the agreement number into the online submission form, the response was that it was not possible to view the reservation where the commencement date had already passed. With the majority of airline or hotel reservations, it is possible to view the details online during the period of the trip, so why can't Alamo manage to do this? Not being able to view one's reservation details is very customer unfriendly and annoying. It is frequently inconvenient and too time consuming to make a phone call to an agent.

He proposed to fold one of the rear seats .... I refused and asked to change vehicles. The change (for a lower range vehicle) was only possible if I took the options that I initially declined to know, the franchise buyback, the assistance and the refueling. Knowing that I have the support of the franchise by my credit card and that I could return the vehicle with full of gas, I tried to decline. In vain… . Worse, the Alamo Counter Attendant holds a lying speech (we'll be hearing it again when we return for other customers) since it introduces the Deductible Franchise option and the $ 8 CAD assistance per day. While the contract edition, each option is charged $ 8 CAD excluding taxes per day, for a total of $ 16 CAD excluding taxes for both per day. Likewise the full tank of gas is displayed at the counter without taxes. Result of the races, a supplement of 388 $ CAD (taxes included) for 14 days of rental of a lower vehicle. The vehicle itself was dirty with a greasy windshield inside, fingerprints on the touch screen and the entire dashboard, an empty water bottle under the driver's seat, .... Showing 44 915kms from the airport, on the second day 45 000kms of the revision and emptying lights were displayed on the dashboard. I obviously tried to express my dissatisfaction at the Alamo ATM at the airport on my return, in vain ... the speech of the benefit of "take" the option of assistance had disappeared, on the contrary, it was 'clarified that the lights on revision were not my problem and that if the vehicle was dirty it's because I asked to change vehicles. I also shared my mishap with Alamo customer service by email and it's been a month since I wait for a response from the "counter". I have already rented several vehicles in the United States with Alamo and I have never seen that. Il a proposé de rabattre l'un des sièges arrières… . J'ai refusé et j'ai donc demandé à changer de véhicule. Le changement (pour un véhicule de gamme inférieure) n'était possible que si je prenais les options que j'avais décliné initialement à savoir, le rachat de franchise, l'assistance et le plein d'essence. Sachant que je dispose de la prise en charge de la franchise par ma carte de crédit et que je pouvais rendre le véhicule avec le plein d'essence, j'ai essayé de décliner. En vain… . Pire, l'employé de comptoir d'Alamo tient un discours mensonger (nous l'allons à nouveau entendu à notre retour pour d'autres clients) puisqu'il présente l'option rachat de franchise ET l'assistance à 8$ CAD par jour. Alors qu'à l'édition du contrat, chaque option est facturée 8$ CAD hors taxes par jour, soit un total de 16$ CAD hors taxes pour les deux par jour. De même le plein d'essence est affiché au comptoir sans les taxes. Résultat des courses, un supplément de 388$ CAD (taxes incluses) pour 14 jours de location d'un véhicule inférieur. Le véhicule en lui même était sale avec un pare-brise gras à l'intérieur, des traces de doigts sur l'écran tactile et l'ensemble de la planche de bord, une bouteille d'eau vide sous le siège conducteur, … . Affichant 44 915kms au départ de l'aéroport, dès le deuxième jour soit 45 000kms des voyants de révision et de vidange s'affichaient sur le tableau de bord. J'ai bien évidemment tenté de faire part de mon mécontentement au guichet Alamo de l'aéroport à mon retour, en vain… le discours du bienfait de "prendre" l'option d'assistance avait disparu, au contraire, l'on m'a précisé que les voyants allumés de révision n'étaient pas mon problème et que si le véhicule était sale c'est parce que j'ai demandé à changer de véhicule. J'ai également fait part de ma mésaventure au service client Alamo par mail et cela fait un mois que j'attends une réponse du "comptoir". J'ai déjà loué plusieurs véhicules aux Etats-Unis avec Alamo et je n'ai jamais vue cela. Enfin, attention aux frais de "télépéage" de 3,85$ par jour facturé par Alamo, vous vous retrouvez avec un péage de 1,85$ plus 3,85$ de frais. Etudiez une autre solution en vous inscrivant sur les sites américains de péages. Mieux encore, éviter de louer chez eux.

Courteous customer service people which is a great relief after a long flight when any kind of misunderstanding is magnified. The car was just what I wanted and the rate was very good. Dropping the car off was easy as my morning flight was at 0600, I got to the counter at 0445 when the office wasn't yet open, and I just left the keys and the contract in the car and left for the flight. No hassles. Will I use Alamo again? Of course! I've been an Alamo customer for years (even use them Internationally) and have been completely satisfied. I heartily recommend Alamo!

Renting a car in Montréal should by law include a snow brush and there wasn't any in the vehicle when we picked it up. When I returned the vehicle and mentioned it to the attendant, his answer was 'this car cane from Ontario and it's not mandatory over there'. Definitely disappointed. Very disappointed with the recent changes in policy, they never told me that they now put a hold of around 250$ in your credit card. I had to ask why they charged me this much for a 25$ rental before getting an answer and when you return the car, you don't even get your money back right away. I had to call and they told me it can take up to 5days. That's ridiculous. The hold is not even written in the rental contract. They never put a hold on your credit card for Quebec customers before and that was the selling point that got me, other than the low prices you can get. When I brought the car back it was midnight, so they told me I had to drop the keys in a box and I would get my reimbursement the next day with the receipt but that never happened I had to call later that next day to get my receipt. This poor management changes everything.

Very disappointed with a recent rental with Alamo at this location. I returned my car on August 26th at 11:00 pm and there wasn´t anybody to receive the car, so I locked the car and deposited the keys in a safety box (just as the instructions read on a sign). My only problem with this place is relatively slow service. Even when you check in online and bring the printed check-in reservation, still takes them some time to process. Also, waited for them to find/bring the car, whereas in many other Alamo locations in the US I could just go to the lot and pick it up right away. This location does not have Alamo's signature "Skip the Counter" service, so you have to rely on the agents to do the paperwork and manually process you.

Car was rented for 7 am - my partner and i were travelling ten hours for the holidays and when i arrived, the car was not ready. I waited an hour for a vehicle even though my rental started at 7am and we got on the road late... I rented a Dodge Grand Caravan over the weekend. The car was very clean and their price was really good. The car was a bit weak, I had a bit of trouble accelerating, but overall it was alright. Just one thing that didn't make me happy. When I got the car I didn't inspect it, but when I returned it the inspector said there was a dent on the right-hand side of the vehicle, and asked me if it was there before I got it. I wasn't aware of it, and there was a yellow marker around it. I just told the person that I hadn't inspected it and that I hadn't bumped into anything during my stay with the car. I ended up not paying anything, but I wish this was stated in the report when I got the car to avoid this hassle. Overall I still recommend Alamo though.

Worst experience we've ever had with a car rental agency!!! We booked a car online for pickup two weeks ahead (at the downtown Calgary location) and when we got there, it said the location was closed (we booked for 3pm) even though when we booked we checked online and it said the location would be open until 4 pm. We called their customer service but they were completely useless and said they couldn't do anything and told us to go to their airport location. We had to pay $40 for a taxi from the Calgary airport to the downtown location to pick up this car and now we had to pay another $40 to go back to the airport for a solution. When we got to the airport location, the workers were so incompetent and didn't know how to deal with this. They called the manager and the manager didn't even bother listening to our problem, he said he can't do anything for us and cut the call very abruptly. Now we were stranded at the airport without a rental car and were on phone with their customer service for an hour trying to find a solution and all they said they could do was "raise a complaint". They said they would call us back within a day and it has been one week since and still no call. This whole situation was entirely their fault since they shouldn't have even allowed us to book a car at a time when the location is closed and on top of that their customer service was the worst I've ever come across in my entire life!

(Original) Nous étions un gros groupe a avoir fait plusieurs réservations de voiture pour partir du Jeudi soir le 10 sept. au Dimanche 13 sept. Premièrement, il y avait 3 réservation avec le même nom de famille mais des prénoms différents (parce que c'était 3 différentes réservations) ils avaient conclu que ce n'était qu'une seule réservation alors arrivé sur place Jeudi soir il n'y avait pas assez de véhicules. Deuxièmement, au retour des véhicules le Dimanche soir, le préposé au comptoir dit a l'un des conducteurs qu'il n'a pas besoin de lui remettre la clé qu'il n'a qu'à la déposer ds la boîte a l'extérieur et quitter. Nous allons pas a l'intérieur et faisons ce que le préposé avait dit au précédent conducteur avant 23h qui est l'heure de fermeture. Le lendemain donc Lundi le 14 septembre, SURPRISE, on me charge une journée de plus sur ma carte de crédit et ils ont l'audace de mettre heure d'arrivée 06:38 lundi 14 septembre! Essayons de les contacter a plusieurs reprises personne ne répond!! Vraiment mauvais service, on me refera plus affaire avec Alamo!!

The price is really great. Thierry give us a really great car and help us to put all the luggages in the back. We only spend one day in Montreal, and need another flight in 3. So he give us some extra hour for our trip! The car return is also really easy. I will suggested to my friends.

Then we called customer service and they almost laughted at us. Alamo is the same thing as Dollar by the way. So just stay away. They are just awful.
