Okay experience. They didn't know the difference between putting a hold on credit card and charging it. Instead of just putting a hold they charge the deposit and then refund. More cumbersome.

I came back from a long trip at peak traffic time.There is no gas stations very close to the place so I did not fill the tank. They told me that they charge 2.5 $a litre, which is a big time abuse. I had to waste 25 mins to go fill the tank. Very disappointed. If they are going to have such an abusive policy they should either have a gas station in front of the place, or clearly warn beforehand.

If you're looking to rent a car, this is the best and cheapest place in Edmonton. After calling around to many different places in Edmonton and getting quotes on rentals, this place was by far the cheapest and even had better cars than anywhere else I called. We ended up getting a new Chrysler 300S for $45/day plus $12/day for full coverage insurance, as apposed to $95/day not including insurance for a simple dodge caravan from Enterprise car rentals. I will only deal with this company for car rentals, and will refer everyone that asks about renting a car!

Usually I avoid dealerships - or salesmen/saleswomen in general - but the Southside Driving Force has completely changed my perception. Two years ago I started looking at trucks with in mind of purchasing one in the following year. I was immediately greeted with staff that in no way ever pressured me into purchasing one today but wanted to find me the perfect truck that would meet all my needs (towing RV Trailer / home renovations). With the help of Dave Barker narrowing my options, I had a good idea of the type of rig I wanted and the general price range. Dave understood I was not purchasing one now and occasionally sent me updates whenever a new truck was available at a good price. Two years later with no warning, I walked into Dave's office and he says "Hey Andrew, hows it going?". Amazing, that after two whole years Dave remembered who I was and the exact type of vehicle I was looking at. Coming on a few months of owning my newly acquired used truck has proven to meet my needs precisely without breaking the bank. Their Certified Used program provided me with the comfort that my vehicle is fully operational and will not break down while driving through Coquihalla Highway. To this day even after 35,000 km added the truck still runs beautifully. Usual sales people only see me as another number, a person who only means anything to them based on the most amount of commission they can get out of me. Driving Force has shown that the staff is willing to prolong a sale as long as my needs are met 100% - they don't believe in cutting corners or sacrifices. Southside Driving Force believe in customer satisfaction and I would highly recommend anyone looking at renting, buying, or just want some information to check them out. Did I mention that my vehicle was missing a user manual and even after Canada Post lost my replacement book, Dave was willing to hand deliver another copy. Truly, an amazing experience.

I don't own a minivan because I think it's uncool. But I needed one to drive my family out of town for a wedding. Driving force offers unlimited km, while other places didn't on a minivan. Also instead of a base model, I got a fully loaded Pacifica, with powerlift gate, power sliding door etc. I didn't have to cruise around in an uncool base model. highly recommend this place if your looking at renting a vehicle!

Customer service wasn’t exceptional but decent. The heart of the problem lies in the fact I was given a guaranteed total cost of $186 with tax which included 100 klms for the day rental, I clocked 52 klms. I checked my invoice Today and my credit card was charged $239.90 I SINCERELY recommend NEVER using this Truck rental company. I had spoken to a Freind and guess what the pieces of garbage did the same to him. He went in to discuss the issue, driving force “said” they will refund the money and never did. Scammers for $50-$60 on every rental. Garbage the way they do business and lie to customers. Garbage.

If I could rate zero stars I would! I am a small business owner that needed a rental truck as my work truck broke down. I called driving force as my first option because I have seen guys on site with their rentals. I called and I was told by the associate that I need to have a company account with them in order to rent a pickup for a few days. I told them I did not have a account and the lady said if you have a company card with your business name and your name on it we can rent you one. I told her I don’t have a credit card with both names on it. The associate then said you can fill out a credit application and wait a day then get a rental. I told the associate I need it today to get to work tomorrow morning. All I got was I’m sorry but I cannot help you. I said ok I’ll give my money to one of your competitors. I called one of the competitors and I got a truck in 2 mins no questions asked, no company account or credit application need. At tomorrow’s safety meeting I will share how in my time of need, driving force shut the door in my face. Today was the first and last time I even consider dealing with this company!!

Booked a car for my sister and brother-in-law who visited from New Zealand. This was at Driving Force location near Edmonton International Airport. Collecting the vehicle was sort of okay, but boy o' boy what a nightmare when the vehicle was returned. My brother-in-law asked if their shuttle can drop him off at his hotel, they just responded with a NO. Charges was taken from his debit card as well as my Dad's credit card (which is still not refunded). Don't rent from them, they treat you like a criminal and think they are doing you a favour.

Don’t rent a car here. I called Monday to ask if I could book a rental under my name and add an additional driver at the counter. The lady on the phone said yes no problem. I went in Tuesday with my mom to pick up the rental. They ask me for my credit card and ID, which I provide. I ask to add my mother as an additional driver, they ask for her ID and credit card. She doesn’t have a credit card, which is why I booked it. She needed to drive the car while we had it. They refused to rent the car to us because she didn’t have a credit card. Why would you need two credit cards when I have prepaid for the rental online as well as provided one for the deposit? Absolute waste of time. Update: it has been a week now and I haven’t received my money back for this rental that I did NOT get. I’ve called and emailed and have not heard back from anyone. Please refund me.

I rented a car from them and when i returned it they had the nerve to tell me the car smelled like weed. Im very insulted seeing that i dont even smoke cigarettes and i definitely do not smoke weed. It felt like a cash grab. I am so insulted i will never rent from them ever again.

I work for a property mgmt company and need a truck rental every two weeks for lawn maintenance. I've used driving force 4 times and every time has been honestly terrible. The young woman at the front desk is so rude and belittling, and the process makes you feel like you're signing your life away. The online reservation worked 2/4 times and the final straw was when I tried to reserve online in the morning, then to go there later to find out there's no truck available and that even though a different truck was available I'd have to "wait for my online reservation to come through" which makes absolutely no sense. I went to uhaul instead and the experience was so much better. I'm going to need a truck rental probably about 10 more times this summer and even though uhaul is going to cost more I will continue to use them instead of driving force. My advice to others is definitely to use this place for rentals as a last resort. I will add however one positive thing and that is Joel who was a pleasure so thank you Joel for being kind.

We needed a truck for work but knew nothing about the leasing process. We had initially visited another leasing company but felt as though we were being talked 'at' and not 'to'. We then went to Driving Force and Jordan was great. He expanded on the small amount of knowledge we had and worked with us to get the vehicle we needed.
