Really unprofessional and scam services. The tow truck drivers work with them and take advantage of people who are stuck in road. They rent me the car for 4 days while the tow truck driver trick me to get rental without even consulting me and when i return the rental car, and said i am not going to claim the insurance and agreed to pay for the rental, they charge me with an extra 450 dollars saying cancellation fees. Very rude and unprofessional staff and i ended up paying 650 dollars for renting a car for 4 days. 100% avoid this or you will be victim of insurance scam

I had great experience with these guys. Recently when I got into an accident my insurance company suggested a list of rental companies and I choose elegant. Got Cruze model 2016 as rental car for 7 days and car was maintained properly. Before providing me car they make sure if it is clean or not, proper functionality of parts. I must say Elegant car Rental provides best customer services as they help me enough to understand their insurance policies. Very much satisfied with quick responding customer services. I will like to have their service in future. Such an amazing company!!!

PLEASE READ the details if you want to AVOID being SCAMMED by this company! So my husband and I had an accident on a Saturday evening. It was my car but I had to go the hospital so my husband went to the Collision reporting centre to complete the paperwork. With elegant car rental, my husband made it clear that it was my car and my insurance and that he didn't know what was going on with my insurance because I could not get a hold of them that evening. Elegant cars said don't worry about it, everything is fine and they will contact my insurance about the rental. Monday comes along and there was something wrong with my car so I inquired about a switch and possibly returning the rental. I spoke to Ricky and he agreed to switch out the car for me. But when I didn't get back to him within 5 minutes with my decision, he called my husband and said he had a car ready for me and I needed to let him know right away. My husband didn't know what to say and Ricky threatened my husband that if I was going to return the car before the date on the contract, that we would owe $250. I looked at the contract and they had written that we were obligated to keep the car for two full weeks! And I found out elegant car rentals never contacted my insurance company! I decided to return the car because Ricky was so rude about threatening the $250 cancellation fee. When I went to return the rental, I spoke to Paras and told him how rude Ricky was. He apologized for Ricky's Behavior and I told them to deal with my insurance from now on incl. the cancellation fee. Paras AGREED! That same day, elegant car charged $250 to my husband's CC! And they still did not contact my insurance company. I emailed Paras and spoke to the Manager Eddie about this concern and not one of them replied back to me. Eddie promised to get back to me after he investigated. I was so mad!!! They held the $250 as ransom in case my insurance did not pay for it. SCAMMERS! And all this because Ricky was so rude and I bet they didn't do anything about him! This place finds vulnerable people to rip off! Go with a common franchise like Enterprise. They do what they'll say they will do. I am interested if Elegant Car will respond to this and whether they will lay blame on me like they did with the other 1-star ratings. Update Jan 22, 2019: As you can see from the owner's response, the owner can't hold themselves accountable for their own staff's behaviour. When I spoke to Paras and Eddie,they both confirmed there was a staff named Ricky. I can't confirm the correct spelling but there is a Ricky. Indirectly, this owner is saying that I am making up this story. And yes this Ricky was rude to my husband and Paras apologized for his rudeness. This review page is useless if the owner doesn't care. Good luck everyone!

#Review includes my response to the owner# Very bad customer service. I have zero satisfaction in post- rental service. They will charge you more than you actually owe, without even notifying you. Rude and unprofessional behaviour from staff. Don't use this service if you're going through auto insurance. They charge administration fee from your pocket. Response to owners comment Below: I received just one call from you about the parking ticket to which I asked you to share the ticket reference number after 10mins since I was at a meeting then, so that I can verify and make the payment. You never shared these details nor did you call me multiple times as you claim nor did you pickup when I called you multiple times(The calls were always going to the voice-mail). It is basic professional courtesy to inform someone before charging them for something, that too without full details. Till date you haven't given me any proof regarding the ticket. When I enquired why you can't send me an email or text notification before charging me, the reply I got was you don't have facilities for text msg or email. Thats how unprofessional you are. When I called to enquire about this I was assured that the manager would call me to solve the issue. I waited for few days in vain, before deciding to share the review here.

I want to share my great experience of renting a car from Elegant Car Rental. The best part was the customer service I received from them. I looked around the market and after a long research, I finally decided to rent a car from here. One thing I like about them is they are honest people and care about their customer's safety, with a reasonable rental prices and clean cars. I'd highly recommend them!

STEER CLEAR!!! Recently had to deal with this company for a rental. I was receiving multiple charges to my account and only caught them by chance when checking my bank info. When I questioned them about the charges, the receptionist said she'd have someone call me back to explain what they were. This never ended up taking place. Furthermore, after I had returned the vehicle, they charged my card again for "missing items" on the invoice. Seriously poor customer service. Plus they charge WAY too much. Enterprise told me I should've got something like a Cadillac for the daily rate I had paid (I had a Hyundai). Save yourself the headache!

Editing the post to add reply for owner's response. My boyfriend and I had to avail this company's service when his car met with an accident and have to say this, the service is terrible. They have no respect for other's time and money. They even charged unnecessarily from our credit card, without even notifying us. One of the worst customer service we have ever experienced. Trust me when i say this because we have had better experiences with other rental services. Response to owner's reply: He received one call from you to which he asked if you could call him later with the ticket reference number so that he can verify and make the payment, as he was busy at that moment. He never got a call after that nor were his calls answered. Later when he got to know about the extra payment that was made without even an intimation, he called again and was told that he would be contacted by the manager, which never happened. Most importantly, he was never given any details about the parking ticket other than the one call i mentioned earlier. I don't know how you expect him to make a payment without even giving him atleast the ticket reference number. And the response that you don't have a provision to text/email the client is not professional either.

I had to take a car rental from this place as the tow truck driver had a tie up with them. The tow truck driver forced us to get a car rental. It was our first experience with car rental and we did not know anything about the pricing system. The rental car was delivered to me at night time and it was a neat and clean car. But I was never informed that I would be charged a hefty sum of 250$ for the car being delivered at my place at night time. It is my fault too that in all the confusion and mess I forgot to ask the price. I returned the car the next day itself before 12 in the afternoon but still I was charged for the whole day. I has used it less than a 12 hour period and was charged a sum of 320$ including the delivery charge. Had I known of all these hidden charges I would never have taken the rental car. My post is to all the people reading this please confirm all the charges with not only to this company but any car rental company before taking a decision or you will pay a hefty price.

I got into an car accident last month and tow truck driver arranged a rental car from Elegant Car Rental. Their drivers delivered me the rental car at the scene very quickly and were very helpful. My insurance paid for three weeks of the rental, however upon my request their manager agreed to give me two extra days free of cost. Overall it was a good experience working with them and would recommend to others as well.

Any reviews saying good things about this place are likely made by an employee or a friend or family of an employee at this place. If you are reading this review considering giving your business here, please do not. If you've been in an accident and you're at the scene, don't sign any document. Get the tow guy to tow your car home or if you know a repair shop personally, go there, or somewhere where your car can't be held hostage, and just get the tow guy to drive you home or somewhere to get help - do not accept their offer to book you a rental. The rental company the tow guy will recommend you will just hold your credit card hostage, give you poor service, a poorly maintained/unclean rental vehicle - if you want to change to a better rental company, they'll just charge your credit card for $250.00+ for an unreasonable fee called "steering fee". STAY AWAY FROM THIS RENTAL COMPANY AND ANYONE ASSOCIATED TO THEM.

When my wife's car got totaled (not at fault), the collision repair towing company set her up with a car from Elegant Car Rental. The car was delivered to the collision repair renter by a very humble and soft spoken person who was emphatic with my wife and her recent accident. He encouraged my wife to continue driving, in spite of the accident. The car was clean and in great condition and my wife enjoyed driving it. When the time came to return, I requested if it was possible for them to drop me off in Concord at a car dealer where I was picking up a new car. I rented a Mazda from Elegant in May when my car was getting fixed due to a collision. I found their service exceptionally great! The rental car was send to to Auto repair shop which was so convenient. The rental car was brand new and met the standards of the car which was being fixed, complete with navigation system. After my car was fixed I just had to leave the car rental keys at the repair shop rather than dropping keys at Elegant office. This flexibility of elegant make it extremely convenient for users and I gladly recommend Elegant to anyone requiring car rental services. I even found the admin staff of Elegant friendly and prompt to address any concerns.

Forced to use this company by tow truck driver. My insurance did suggest changing companies but I thought let me support locals. The car they gave me was a MADZA 5. The passenger seat belt was faulty (forgot to inform them of this). This insurance company was quick to charge me for car rental when they knew very well that my insurance would be covering this. Very disappointed!! Still waiting on my refund. Don’t use this company if you are dealing with insurance claim. On top of that they want to $50 admin fees. Wish I switched to Enterprise. Would NEVER use this rental place.

BEWARE OF THIS PLACE AND DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. My mother, sister and I were in our first accident on November 25th, 2017. We were rear-ended in Mississauga, and immediately a tow truck driver hunted us down and told us that he knew how to handle the situation, we had to take our car to Royal Auto Collision. We were in an emotional, confused and vulnerable state so we didn't look into the place and trusted his suggestion. He took my mother's car there, and were given a rental until the repairs were completed about two weeks ago. All was great until this point and we were happy with our experience. After returning the car, we are charged over $1500 for "excessive usage!" They claimed that we drove 15,000 km in the month we had it. My mother was absolutely shocked and is now worrying about paying it off. SHE DID NOT DRIVE THIS MUCH! This is how much average people drive in a YEAR! After seeing some of the other reviews on this page, I'm not surprised. For anyone in a similar situation, hopefully you are doing your research and decide against taking your car to this establishment, despite the tow truck driver coercing you into thinking this is the only option. Overall: angry, disappointed, and disgusted.

Please do not sign anything!!!!!!! with this company they will try to scam you if you want to end rental earlier. We have to pay 450 to end the rental early and they will tag random cost to it. DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING!!!! Respond to the vender: The FACT that it was never mentioned due at signing and you can only find it in the tiny fine print at the bottom of the back of the page and you charge me $240 dollar a day for renting a Honda car its just predatory and ridiculous. (From the attachment you can see they wrote $10 per hour)

I wish I could give less than one star. Number 1, their cars are in HORRIBLE condition. The Mazda6 I got had a windshield wipers where the rubber part was HALF OFF and flapped when you used it. The gear shifter had no covering on it so you could SEE the actual components of the shifter through the track. The handbrake had the leather sleeve coming off of it. This was a bit annoying, and I can't really fault them for it, but they have no problem giving you a car after hours, but they will not drop you where you have to go when you return it, nor will they pick it up from you. I wish they told you this in the beginning. Third; they are cheaters who will try to scam you. They tried to charge me for an extra day, and when I argued, he had the audacity to tell me "go drive around for 2 hrs then bring it back at 6, we'll be closed then it will be 26 days." Unbelievable! When I showed him the condition of the vehicle he had given me and the fact that I brought it back at 3/4 tank when it was supposed to be brought back at empty, he relented and didn't charge me for the imaginary extra day. Lastly; never have I experienced such poor customer service. Extremely rude like you wouldn't believe. When I mentioned that Google reviews, the manager (I think his name was Sunny) said "We don't listen to the Google reviews, people can write what they want, we don't listen to them." If you ever have the misfortune of getting a rental from them due to two truck recommendations, call your insurance company and SWITCH asap. Horrible company, and you deserve to be treated with basic human decency.

They are unprofessional, will make you sign a contract without telling you about the ridiculous cancellation fees, charge you extra (2000$) for engine problems they didn't disclose in the first place. Their office SMELLS so bad and their couch is falling apart...DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. When you get into an accident, they come running for you like leeches. I also reported them for unfair and deceptive business practices to the Competition Bureau, and I suggest you do too. This was not a positive experience. The SUV they gave me had two balled tires on it. I have two small children and also drive for work. Moments after dropping my children off I noticed that I had a flat. This was on a Sunday and when I called they actually made me change it to the dummy myself as opposed to coming out and replacing the tire or the car. He also told me it would be "free of charge" to repair it as if he was doing me a favor. I did nothing to the tire, the car was unsafe and I should have never received it in that state to begin with. The next day I was told to bring it is and they would quickly fix it. Well when I got there they could not fix it and actually requested that I take the car from Brampton to Mississauga and they would give me the money for the repair, I was in shock. They did take me back to work and drop the car off later that day. The gentlemen that did so was very nice however I do not feel that the company culture is one that puts their client first or goes above and beyond in anyway. I actually told the gentlemen about the several poor google reviews and it looks like not much has changed. I would never use this company again and would suggest that you streer clear. This business needs education on client relations and will one day find what the rest of us already know, no clients equals no business!

You’re better off walking home than taking a rental car from here. Their 2 cent service and employees have zero manners and lack basic common sense. They were recommended by the tow truck driver after my car was vandalized. I was given a Porsche then switched to Audi but had to switch to an Accord because my claim was taking long and I didn’t want to go over my allowable car rental amount. After all was done, they wanted to charge my insurance company for the daily price of the Porsche. I don’t know why they thought I would agree to that because it was benefiting them and not me. They are scammers and liars. I watched how they spoke to a lady who came there to try and recover an item she left in a rental and I was disgusted. Very rude and condescending.
