I am very pleased to recommend Certified Car & Truck Rental to anyone. Their customer service was very warm and professional. It is so good to know during this pandemic these people leave their homes and families to be out there for us and still perform at their best. My car was delivered to me for rental after I was stuck and every rental service I called was closed. The driver was great and very joyly. My communication with the main office for my invoice was great. Thank you guys for this great experience and my family and I will come again and once again thank you for being out there for us all during this time :)

Definitely DO NOT rent a car from this place. They really took advantage of a young person with their first accident and should not have even rented a car to a person who is not the registered owner of the vehicle. They are very over-priced (more than insurance will pay) and have an "early return fee" of 250.00! We had a rental car due to a collision in the area and the 3 days for having their car was 495$. This is RIDICULOUSLY OVERPRICED!. So look elsewhere if you need a rental car. I want to give them ZERO stars but then you can't post the review and I don't want others to be taken advantage of like we were. I wish I had just refused to pay.

They came to the site of my accident in Barrie with a mediocre rental car and promised will get a new car after the weekend which they did not honor....Wasted a lot of time back and forth...Then they put an early cancellation fee of 300$ which my towing company canceled it with them or else I would have ended up paying an early cancellation fee which sounds ridiculous and misusing a vulnerable position at which we are in after an accident. At the end I returned their car and went with Enterprise Rentals which charged one fourth the price.

I would like to give this company no stars!! If you are in a accident near the Barrie area do not rent a car from Certified Car Rental. I was in an accident and in pain the tow truck driver arranged the car rental ….their contract states you cannot return the rental until your car is fixed....called early cancellation. Which I do not remember agreeing to. They also stated on the contract I had to return the car to Barrie. I went yesterday to take the car back, I left the city at 3:30 and arrived in Barrie at 6:05....I called Certified and told them I was 5 mins away, she told me they were closed, I was told to come back tomorrow....I told her that I had been on the road for 2 1/2 hours and asked her if she could just wait 5 mins for me to get there...."No we are closed" She then asked why I was returning the car and I told her I had one in the city that I can use. She told me I could not return without charging me the early cancellation fee. I told her I was going to drop it off and she said they do not have a drop box....I told her I would send her the keys by courier. When I parked the car the owner's son came out to get the keys. They tried to put the $300 deposit thru this morning, I cancelled my card last night. I was told if I do not pay by tomorrow night she will put me in collections. Do not use this rental company!!! I am so upset.....I cannot believe how they are taking advantage of people who are stranded on the side of the road (highway) after an accident!

I have rented a small car for 2 weeks, i was very happy for the service that i recived there, and when i was in need for another few days with the car, had no problems with that, one phone call and all done!!! in the end when i returned the car, everything was fast and proffsional.when we done i had to use the taxi to go home, and while i trying to get one, one of the employe offerd me a ride home best experience EVER!!! next time i come to berrie thats the car rental that i going use!!! thanks for everything guys

Completely ripped me off One of their tow truck affiliates chose them for me without asking (I do not live close to Barrie). They delivered the car to me and the driver assured me that since they delivered it they would be able to pick it up after I was done. At the end of the rental they told me I owed them over $600 for the pick-up. EVEN after my insurance company left them a voicemail about the pick-up and that they would cover the cost if the rental company wouldn't. That was a month ago, I am still trying to get that money back.

I recently changed my one star rating to a three star. Two day extra charge was reversed. We had to commit to a two week rental or pay 250.00 early return , ok if insurance is paying. Don't just drop car off at drop zone. Make sure you call right away when done so.

Loved the 2020 Mercedes C300 AMG I rented from here after I was hit in my 2018 C300. The office staff were very knowledgeable with everything and walked me through the whole process with a breeze. Thank you staff for the great after hour service during these hard times with covid 19 & I will definitely Refer all of my friends and family here in the future!

Honestly, CCR is one of the TOP rental places in the barrie area. I was referred to them by a tow company after my wheel fell off on the 400. CCR met me at 10:45 at night and set me up in a beautiful rental car. Their service is second to none. Thank you John, Stephanie and the entire staff at Certified Car Rental for making my terrible situation feel a lot less terrible. I’d recommend them to anyone and I have !!

Highly unexpected service. I had an accident at 12:30pm and I was in a rental car and back on the road by 1:30pm. These guys pulled through when I needed them too and they were great to be around in the unfortunate circumstances. I usually don't write 5 star reviews because everywhere I go I get treated the same as usual but the customer service I have received over the past month renting from Certified Car & Truck Rental after my car accident was outstanding. I wasn't able to return the vehicle to their location in Barrie so they came and picked it up from my house! I rented from Enterprise last car accident, Their service was eh, the car was poorly maintained and I was treated like a regular. Not here though, definitely coming back. I recommend these guys , GOOD PEOPLE AND GREAT CARS!

This rental made me glad that my vehicle was a write off and that i got to test drive the durango for a month, needless to say I went and bought a brand new durango and i love it. thank you i have given your card to many people already.

They worked with my insurance company so I didn't have to worry about anything and helped alleviate some of the stress I was dealing with during the aftermath of my accident. These guys will dupe you and take you for extra money. Not only do they charge you extra costs - but they try to destroy your credit. I had a conversation with the owner back in 2018. I had left a bad review when this initially happened, and he called me to ask me to take it down. After we discussed everything and came to a settlement, which we completely fulfilled on our end AND took down the bad review HE STILL PUT THROUGH A COLLECTIONS CLAIM ON OUR CREDIT HISTORY! Just the worst kind of business to deal with, completely unethical and unprofessional. Dealing with them will leave a bad taste in your mouth for years to come. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT EVER rent a car from Certified Car Rental on Byrne Drive unless you want to be scammed out of $$ and then verbally assaulted!! Calling them unprofessional would be a compliment compared to how they conducted them selves. We rented a car from them and after taking the car home we noticed that there was so asphalt under the front bumper that we didn't notice on initial inspection- initial inspection was done in a rush because we had to get to the collision centre and had just been in a significant accident, so we were stressed to say the least. After noticing the marks we called in to let them know and we're told that because we reported it within 24 hours we wouldn't be charged for the damage. We were super pleased with that response as it seemed very reasonable. When we returned the vehicle we showed the attendees what we were referring to and again he confirmed that it was not a problem. Over a week later we see a charge on our credit card of $300. Not once did anyone call us informing we were going to be charged or why we were being charged. We called then to inquire and suddenly the reasonable people we thought we were dealing with turned into unprofessional jerks who could do nothing more but pass the buck onto someone else, dodge our calls and emails, and eventually when we did speak to a lady by the name of Stephanie we were told to take her to court among many other insults directed at me personally (someone she has never even met!) Stephanie also informed me that they record all of their phone calls and that's how she knows that were "lying" about what we were told when we reported the damage. In addition, Stephanie told me that if I proceeded to spread the word about the type of service i received she would release all of our personal information contained in our file on the Internet. I'm still unsure how that was even a relevant threat but apparently she thought so. I have requested copies of our contract that were never given to us and they have refused to comply so tonight in popped into ask in person. When i also asked to hear copies of our specific phone calls i was told by another staff member that they don't in fact record the calls..so now I'm really confused as to how she knows we are "lying" Obviously, lesson learned for next time. ..dont just trust people, be more thorough, insist on receiving copies of paperwork..don't rent from Certified Car Rental etc. etc. Edited to add when I was there trying to get my paper work I saw the car we rented and the asphalt marks were still on underside of them bumper!!!!now I'm really confused because I was told they paid $1500 to have the bumper replaced...super shady!!!

!!!Beware!!!! First off some of the reviews are by owners Joe and Stephanie work at this scam office. Got in an accident and was taken here by town truck, first mistake. Got the car at 6pm and didnt do the full walk around because I was running late. I noticed on the first day that their was some asphalt on the passenger side called the company and reported it stage away and to cancel the $5 a day insurance they offer bc I was told I would have the car for some time and insurance wouldn't cover it. They told me Joe would call me back and they would make note and that I had reported it within 24 hours that it wouldn't be an issue. I was given my settlement on Friday and told to return the car they were unable to accommodate the return and told me I had to wait till Monday (insurance company told me they tried to bill for an extra day). When I returned the car I was told that their would be no additional charges (lady in line was complaining about having to pay over $400 for the added insurance). They then billed me $300 on my credit card over 10 days later. When I tried speaking to Joe he told me he wouldn't refund the money and it cost 1300 to fix the car. My wife called and they told her it cost 900. We tried going in a number of times and Joe was never around when we called him he hung up the phone on us. We went in and took a picture of the car that had not been repair and recorded a conversation where the auto body guy said he fixed a different car not that one.

I had a family member who recently had the same experience like others have posted - being charged for damage that pre-existed. These people seem to take advantage of unsuspecting accident victims and work with the tow truck drivers who recommend them. A typical scam.

After my car burnt to a crisp and friend sent me to Certified Rental. I'm so happy he did. They got me their last vehicle and delivered it from Vaughn, to my country home in Singhampton at 9:15 pm, on a Monday evening! Jason, the young man I got to do my paperwork with, was extremely personable and made the experience very enjoyable. He was polite and knowledgeable. I was blown away by the customer service experience we received and will recommend to all of my family and friends here on out!

WARNING! I highly advise against using their services. If they have your credit card information, I would recommend cancelling the card IMMEDIATELY because they will make unauthorized charges to your card without your consent. I suggest staying away and use a reputable car rental service to avoid unnecessary problems. RESPONSE TO OWNER REPLY: FYI I rented a 2016 silver Mazda 6 from you guys. Don't try to cover your tracks by claiming that I'm "not in your system". I have the statements showing that my credit card was charged multiple times for the same fees. I called John directly to clarify why I'm being charged when I've already paid, he told me to call the office. It was only after I made several complaints and multiple calls that the fees were finally refunded.

THEY CHARGED ME FOR SUV RATE AND GAVE ME 4 DOOR CAR. WHAT A RIP OFF. THE ATTITUDE OF THE STAFF IS HORRIBLE WHEN YOU GO TO RETURN THE VEHICLE. I HOPE THEY GET SHUT DOWN SOON SO PEOPLE DO NOT GET RIPPED OFF. I WILL BE FILING COMPLAINT WITH CITY OF BARRIE REGARDING THIS EXPERIENCE SO THEY CAN TAKE ACTION AGAINST TOW TRUCK DRIVER AND THIS RENTAL COMPANY.
