I had a bad experience. To begin with, when I arrived at the Hertz store, even their employee did not use the mask. And there was a recommendation posted on the wall about the use of masks in this pandemic. Then, when requesting a seat for my baby, the employee simply said that it was not available. Finally, I found the car smelling horrible and dirty - both indoors and outdoors. Anyway, a bad experience; I'm glad I need the car to go to the airport early tomorrow.

The car is never clean outside and often inside, not a full tank of gas. The customer service is often awkward as they work there the first day and don't know what to do. Wasted my time a few times trying to upsell.

Worst Hertz location and manager Gary Chen (Xi Chen). I am a Hertz gold member and used Hertz for many years with international travels but this has been the worst location ever experienced as one of the managers Gary Chen struggles to communicate and is blatantly rude without any regard for customer service. I guess his main benefit for doing business is insurance claims or I struggle to see how they would get business with his approach. After very clear communication and direct contact with ICBC adjusters they still proceeded to charge my card without authorisation. Poor ethic and integrity and disregard for client instructions. And absolutely no interest in resolving the issue. Even after bring advised by Nicolas Hattingh saying it was a easy fix, to refund and charge ICBC, Gary Chen once again demonstrated his lack of commitment to customer needs by refusing to rectify. So caution when dealing with him at this location.

I was very impressed by Gary’s customer service. I had lost the keys to the rental car and was unsure of what to do. Gary was very professional, providing advice on next steps, and even coordinated having the car towed and the keys replaced on my behalf, so that all I had to do was pay the fees. He went beyond my expectations to make sure that I had an easy and smooth experience dealing with all of this. I have never experienced such amazing customer service in my life, and I am not exaggerating - thank you Gary and Hertz!

Chaque fois que je retourne un véhicule lors de jours fériés (ex: Noël, Pacques...) ils me chargent comme si j'avais remis la voiture à l'ouverture et ça correspond souvent à 2 ou 3 jours de plus que le contrat. Trop bêtes pour vérifier le contrat et présumer que la voiture a été remise comme convenu. Je dois me battre pour me faire rembourser et la première fois, je m'en suis redue compte plus d'un mois après de telle sorte que je n'ai jamais été remboursée (environ 300$). Présentement, j'attends un remboursement de 150$ depuis 3 semaines. Bref, je fais affaire avec eux seulement lorsque je n'ai pas d'autre choix, sinon je vais systématiquement chez Entreprise!

Had an awesome experience with Hertz, very friendly and cool staff. Well maintained and cleaned cars It was smooth on snow as well. I am glad I opted this place for rental car. Going back again this weekend for more rentals. Affordable price on deposits. Only problem I felt was they never pickup your calls, if you want to check on anything.

They don't even get 1 star , this place runs by crooks , so I called for a car and they gave me a price I told them I call back so I did about an hour after the guy on the phone was asking $ 200 more for same car , so I went to enterprise and I never go to this place they are bunch of scammers I don't understand how this company allows these people to make a bad name for them , shame on them,,

This people are froud and RCMP should investigate their business dealings and the city of Burnsby should cease their license I and my family got into car accident.we were told by another corrupt corporation called ICBC to a courtesy car from Hertz They welcome me the the smile and would like to offer me SUV and made me go with it I made clear with them you are dealing with icbc please.They assured me yes. A month later I received $1000.00 to my credit card It was unbelievable and hard to accept I called them back why and they said Icbc did not want to pay it. Icbc said deal.eith them Dealing with 2 identical twin thieves is very difficult Spare your money don't use them They should rot in hell

Late opening and tried to add on extra fees which were almost the same price as the total 14 day rental. Disappointed - will never go back. Ended up going to enterprise where they honoured hertzs initial price with out any extra hidden costs.

I chose the refuel option and figuring they'd be dishonest about it, I took a picture of the odometer and they took the vehicle for an 11 kilometre joyride before refuelling. AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS. Extremely dishonest staff.

I rented a car for three weeks at this location for $1000. I got to the location and they added an extra $800 in fees which included a deposit and an under 25 fee. I obliged and paid the extra fees even though on the website it stated all I needed to pay was $168 in taxes when I arrive. I ended up dropping off the car four days earlier than I initially planned. I got to the location and the individual working there told me to park the car and lock it. I was not directed where to put the keys as this was my first time renting a car. They stated that I should have put it in a drop box but how would I know if I was not told so I locked it in the car. As a result, they refused to refund me the rest of my money for the four extra days and were going to charge me extra because I locked the keys in the car. They said I have to pay for towing costs. This whole process as been a disaster and I am over $2,000 in the hole because of a 14 day rental. Customer service is very rude. The manager called me and was so rude and condescending and continued to tell me that it wasn't his problem. Please do not rent a car here. They try and squeeze all the money out of you with no remorse.

excellent!-i had returned my rental on friday and forgot my garage door opener clipped on the visor. i called and spoke to Steven (Stephen) who was just awesome! he grabbed my clicker and set it aside. i couldn't pick it up right away due to my busy schedule but when i finally could, i was running late but he waited until i got there which was well after closing. he was very patient and accommodating to me throughout the numerous calls i made to the office. keep up the great and most excellent job Steven!

Horrible customer service. Very rude and will charge you with any possible fee they can find. When you ask for receipts will try to defer you from asking. Although gas was full on return still put a charge and refused to provide receipts. Avoid at all costs! Take your business anywhere but here. Wouldn't return phone calls after multiple voicemails.

I just want to give a huge shout out to all the guys at Hertz. I was in an accident and needed a car. ICBC told me they would look after everything and I would get a call within the hour. I received that phone call in 45 minutes, When I got there, the paper work was completed fast and efficient. Being a bit traumatized by the accident, getting a replacement car was the easiest part so far. Thanks guys!!

1st morning I see a small chip in the lower left corner of the windshield. There was absolutely no way it occurred with what little I driving I did. The crack is the size of a nickel in the lower left of the windshield. I return the car after hours. The hertz rep tells me I have to buy a new windshield. I state the above. He says you have to buy a windshield. I ask why not fix it. He says you have to buy a windshield. As a Gold member for over 15 years I find this Hertz site to be dishonest and aggressive in their billing.

Extremely poor customer service by Alex and very disappointed. I booked rental car for Saturday April 3 due to my urgent work and when I went to pick up my car, there was a nail in the tire and was clearly visible. I showed Alex while inspecting the car and he told me to drive the same car which was not safe, I might get stuck in middle of nowhere specially over the weekend. There were another 3 cars and when I asked about those he told me those are booked for Monday and I explained I can’t take almost flat tire car, could clearly see air was less and I’ll be back tonight only so you can rent it out on Monday but he refused and told me that other agent made your booking and I can’t help you out. Even though I made booking with other agent but both agents are with hertz and it was his responsibility to accommodate. Even the car was dirty the one he was offering and told me that I would need to clean and sanitize. During this pandemic this was the poorest customer service I have ever seen. No humanity and no respect, he told me to leave when I told him to give me other car. He ruined my day and left me stranded just because he wanted to go home early. That was totally unacceptable. I gave tonnes of business to hertz by mouth advertisement but not anymore not worth. Alex was the most rude and disrespectful person I have ever met and he should not be part of customer service.

If I could give 0 stars I would, worst place ever. I talked to him on the phone the day I went to get a car asking him questions he never said no car was available so when I went in it was just a waste of time even tho he had a lot full of vehicles sitting there. I went in the next day after going on Priceline to rent a car from them we went to pay with our Visa card and he kept saying the card wasn’t working with his machine when we went to pay the deposit. Very rude staff don’t care about customer service will never go again.

Reserved the car and even called them several times to confirm but when I came to pick up the car they said it was not available. This is RIDICULOUS. They ruined my whole trip and said I needed to call to cancel my reservation. That's all. No responsibility, no system.

Hertz was my worst experience renting a car, I didn't even rent because at this location, online price for an SUV for seven days was around 300$, when I called them the manager told me that the price is 950$, when I asked how is this possible they said that this is the price if you coming at the office in person...
