I have never had a reservation for a car rental and just been flatly told - we have no cars, we screwed up, email us and maybe we'll figure something out. Thanks hertz for finding a reason to finally switch. As a business traveller and gold member you've been mediocre at best (there are some good people who work here, that's for sure) but as an organization it's been a terrible experience.

I rented the vehicle in Prince George Airport to go to Burns Lake and back then my mother got Medevaced from Haida Gwaii to Terrace so I had to go there while she was being operated on and in ICU. I was hoping to be able to drop off the vehicle in Terrace once done and fly directly to Vancouver. That would be a big deal which i understand BUT my brother was going to be driving past Terrace with his wife to go on a trip and said he could drive the rental back to Prince George. I phoned PG Hertz corporate office and they said I should be able to go into the local terrace office and add my brother to the rental. Terrace Hertz told me they can't because they are not a corporate office. WHAT??? I phoned Hertz main website and was told thesame. What is so hard about adding another driver at a non corporate Hertz office? Its still Hertz. Instead I have to drive 8 hours back to deliver the car to PG. This hasn't been a problem with my usual rental company. So never again.

I rented a 2020 Hyundai Elantra for a day in September 2020. The car was clean, and the "Sports' mode was a joy to use. This car was FAST. I took a 120 KM trip to the Ancient Forest Provincial park on Hwy-16 and then back to Prince George, and this little car was a lot of fun.

Car was ok but needed an alignment. The fellow at the front desk treated me like I was carrying the plague, just take the day off if your that worried.

It had snowed in Prince George when i was there. I had two suitcases to drag to the rental car. Luckily for me I had Willie as my rental car person and he helped me all the way to the car! Thank you! On return the people working there we also very nice. Great location to rent from! (and the airport had free cake that day!)

After returning the vechiel my credit card was over charged $700.58 as it clearly shows on my invoice. After multiple attempts to have this corrected it is has not been to date.

They over charged my credit card $200 more than we agreed upon. They promised to refund that amount, but so far they didn't three months later. I phoned them at least five times, every time they promised next week... etc. With no results so far.

I picked up my rental car yesterday, and it had a sticker on the door saying it was cleaned to their gold standard. I opened the back door and there was the previous customers hat and vaping cartridges. Other left items were also found in the front seat. How can you clean a car without taking the last customers belongings out of it. There’s a pandemic going on and all they did was slap a sticker on it and called it clean. I won’t rent from these guys again.
