They're currently charging nearly $10,000 for a 10 day rental between Edmonton and Vancouver. This price is ridiculous and should be lowered.

They prompt and efficient at the desk. We specifically ordered a Jeep Patriot. We were given the choice of a Nissan Rogue or GM Terrain. Wasnt happy about that. We got to the car and it smelled like puke. Had to borrow the deodorizers from the attendant and took with us. We screwed up flights and needed and extra day. We called twice to change arrangements. Then they charged us a $16 late fee because we didnt give them 24 hours notice. And we paid the extra day!! What was the late fee for? My wife felt the desk fellow was rude and abrupt on the phone, she handed the phone to me. Didnt understand that I should pay a late fee and another day rental even though we rented for another day and only used the car for 4 more hours. Why charge us a late fee? Over charged us almost $240 on final bill and still awaiting credit and STILL had to deal with a pukey smelly car.

Decent service But I dont get the point of they handing me 3 sets of keys altogether when I cannot even separate them. It is just bulky and there is no use carrying around that much weight and volume in my pocket

Hi, I rented a car at the International airport of Edmonton No hi, or how are you. Just the : I need your driving licence and I.D. with a picture. When I would ask the employee a question she would answer : As I had just told you … She did not let me talk and ask any questions and if I misunderstood something she basically repeated it in the same way with the : As I just said… There was nothing wrong in the word she was saying. But her attitude toward me was condescending and unprofessional nevertheless. At one point, I had to stop her to ask her why the vibe was so wrong here. She answered me that she was telling precisely what she was supposed to. And she did. This was pretty subtle and she did not talk loud to me or swear or anything. I just wanted to express that on a scale of satisfaction I would have to say about her service was unsatisfactory. There are so many cars renting company, I rather go to another one as oppose to deal with the possibility of meeting another employee like her.

Booked Hertz car thru easyrentcars, for a Corolla to be picked up at Edmonton airport and to be dropped off at Calgary airport, as part of the easyrentcars booking deal we were covered for a complete insurance package that covered for everything. When we were picking up the car at Edmonton airport on 1st Aug 2019, the sales person forced us to buy Hertz car insurance, despite showing him that we were covered, he went around the bush to sell us the Hertz policy. He wasted more than 30 minutes of our time, in the end we ended up buying Hertz policy as we felt that this person is forcing us to buy Hertz policy before he could give us the car. This is blatant cheating and very unprofessional behaviour on part of the sales person. Will never recommend Hertz Edmonton airport site for any car rentals

As soon as I was greeted by the customer service rep, his tone of voice and attitude was very demeaning. As I was picking up my car, he informed me of a young drivers fee that would be an additional $200.00. I then found out that AAA members are exempt from the young drivers fee. After I showed proof of my AAA membership he said he is still charging the $200.00 fee because I am not eligible for the waived fee because I booked though Expedia? Makes no sense to me. To add to the insult, when I drove the car home i noticed a big dent on the roof which was not disclosed in the waiver that I signed off on. He made me sign the waiver at the desk without seeing the car. I've called customer service and they said they will refund me the fees. However, that is great and all but it is my time and future business that are affected the most. I've rented from Hertz before but this experience was beyond bad.

Amazing and quick service from the folks at the check in desk! Got a brand new car with just over 1000kms on it and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Easy after hours return process. I’ve used national at this location as well, and I found this time that hertz upped their game! Very happy

Worst rental experience ever. First they didn't remind pickup location is not at Edmonton airport, 2nd they charge extra when dropping on different location without notice, last they switch the car to a smaller one.

I have never been so disrespected and falsely accused for something in my life . I am a long time customer at hertz but that changes now after what one of the representatives did at the hertz location at the Edmonton airport . He disrespected me swore at me and almost physically pulled me out of there vehicle . His name is “lee” I have read lots of bad review about him . I really hope they do something about this employee. I will defenitly not be going to that location anymore

Over price and terrible services. Scammer! Tried to charge me a stone chip on windshield from previous rental. I refused to pay and argue for 20 minutes before they admiited that the damage did occurred from prior rentals. Will not rent there again ever. AVOID!

DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ! Buyer beware. I needed to cancel my rental and called over the phone to see if it was possible. They told me it was and that I would see the refund on my card in a few weeks. Refund never came. Called today and they said I could not receive a refund, because I didn't have a valid reason. I told them at the time of cancellation the employee I was never asked for a reason, just told that I would receive a full refund. If I had been told to give a reason and the reason wasn't valid I would have carried out the rental. When I called to talk to a manger they appoligzed for the employees negligence but would still not give a refund. Then, they hung up on me! This is not a company that deserves patronage if that is how they treat customers. Be careful dealing with this company. They are not forthwith, and will not rectify the mistakes of their employees. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

We normally don't book with Hertz, but currently this was the only option at the Edmonton Airport. Had a TERRIBLE time retrieving a receipt from their website, general customer service number is invisible. Waited a week to give them time to post NOTHING. Called the Edmonton desk directly, spoke to (a very disinterested) AMIR who, after I asked for how to obtain a receipt, was argumentative i.e. "Why didn't they pick up the receipt at the desk?" When I told them there was no one at the desk, more arguing. Ultimately, he ended the call by hanging up on me. I was polite but firm so this was shocking to say the least. Wish there was a "negative" option for this review. This location is lacking in proper customer service training, or needs to review. And the Hertz website is lacking on so many levels. As a national company providing services to other business, you should offer customers an easy to access receipt retrieval. Particularly if your staff do not properly man their desks. I will AVOID using Hertz anywhere based on this experience, but ESPECIALLY this location in Edmonton!

Incredibly unfriendly and unhelpful staff. Don’t expect to have a car on arrival even if it’s been booked through the website. All other rental car places in the terminal much more friendly.
