My reservation (made months ago) was cancelled a week before pick-up. At such short notice, I couldn't make a reservation anywhere else anymore. Not good.
Renting the car was no problem. Just hope you don't get a parking ticket in a city you're not familiar with cause then everybody will just point their fingers at everybody else. I was never left a notice of infraction on the vehicle but got charged a $30 admin fee plus a $10 late fee on top of the infraction fee. And when calling the rental location back, expect to be talked down to by "Jocen" who can't seem to care about nothing more then to get the customer off the phone as quickly as possible because 'she just rents cars'. If you're thinking bout renting a car here, I'd keep looking. There's an enterprise right next door.

Car was ready and waiting for us, the staff was super professional and accommodating, especially when we let them know the car hadn't come with a full tank of gas. They took our word for it and gave us a discount.

An embarrassment for hertz. Booked a car for 10 a.m. And it wasn't ready until 11:45. Super slow and inefficient service. 2 people working at the desk - 20 minutes processing time per customer! I'm very sorry I choose to book here. Notice that this place serves thrifty and dollar customers as well - be aware!

I wish I could give -100 to this location. I called up this location be side they over charged me. I booked with Hertz but they have me a car from dollar thrifty. I am not aware of that. When I gave the Hertz confirmation number, the person at this location said he cant find it. Then I had to fish through my documents to see that the rental agreement is from Dollar. When I gave the dollar thrifty rental agreement , he was so mad that I didn't give the correct rental agreement. I said as a user I don't know how their internal system works. But he was adamant and kept on saying he was correct and I should have given him the correct number in the first place. Don't go to this location. As a paying customer, one deserve decent customer service and not such attitude guy. Also I see that in Google reviews, they really only to five star ratings. What an attitude from Hertz

Extremely unprofessional. They have 35 reservation for 20 cars. Mean they DO NOT CARE about 15 people plan for the weekend. Never rent from Hertz!

Great Customer Service (again and again). I rent from this location at least monthly and always receive excellent customer service. Here's a couple of tips - they have a limited fleet so they're often sold out 3-4 days in advance during July and August. Also, in winter they're one of the few rental car places downtown that can get you a vehicle with snow tires.
Reasonably organized, efficient, and friendly. Parking garage where the cars are kept is somewhat confined and dark, but not dangerously so; makes pre-rental damage inspection slightly harder. Vehicle was not 100% clean, but was acceptable. Ensure you're clear about where to park upon return. Overall, no huge issues, and would rent here again.
This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had traveling. I tried reaching someone at the 6th ave location Saturday, July 7th, with absolutely no luck. I called about 6 times and the phone rang all the way until I got disconnected each time. I tried calling the airport location to transfer me and still no one at that store answered. I called the airport location back and went through the process of seeing if they could extend my rental one day. When I picked the car up Friday, July 6th, their employee told me it could be extended with no problem but that I couldn't extend the reservation when I picked the car up. He mentioned that the system couldn't adjust the reservation at the time of pick-up and that I could just call Saturday or Sunday. As previously mentioned, I wasn't able to get ahold of anyone Saturday. This morning, I waited until 10am (store opening hour) to call that location. I called 10 times between 10am-10:35am with no answer. I finally decided to drive 30 minutes towards downtown to see if I could extend the rental in person and, if not, drop the rental off as per my original reservation. I drove by the location and saw that there was nowhere to park, so I tried calling again. I originally picked the car up at the 5th ave location because the 6th ave location was closed due to the Stampede parade. I drove around for 45 minutes, continually looking for a spot and trying to call someone at Hertz. I had to put $10 in the tank just for trying to find a spot. The spot was three blocks away and when I got to the store, I had to wait another 45 minutes to drop off the keys. As I waited in line at Hertz, I called the location again to make sure I had the right number. The phone rang and no one answered, even though both of your employees were sitting right next to the phone. I was trying to give the company MORE business and couldn't get any help whatsoever. I travel every week and Hertz will not be getting my continued business in Calgary with this poor of service. I can’t believe the lack of professionalism when I brought this up to their employee either. He complained about me to other customers because I was upset about losing half of my day to this ordeal. I understand the location was busy with Stampede but the store should staff accordingly. I tried to extend the rental on three different days, so being busy is no excuse since I gave the store so many chances to help me out. Hopefully someone else has better luck, but I certainly didn't.
Even if Expedia tells you not to call and confirm- call and confirm. Any bookings made after 6 pm the day before will not be ready for you until noon, even if you were supposed to pick up at 8 AM.
Worst car rental service I have ever had, this rental office charged me more than $500 due to their mistake in entering the meter reading and for refund its more than 7weeks still fighting with them to receive money.
Absolutely love this place. Have had great experience in renting it from here, not only because of the rates and car, but the folks who run the show there. Louis, Sahar and Ali are extremely helpful, understanding and easy to work with. This will be my go to place in Calgary.

This place is the WORST. Reserved a COMPACT car to take on a road trip to save money on gas and these CLOWNS tried to give me a MINIVAN. They refused to offer anything smaller. No idea how these idiots stay in business.
Friendly staff; however, needs slightly better organizing from their staff. The location takes care of Thrifty and Dollar rentals as well. Had to call in twice to ensure reservation was booked as they had lost first reservation. Vehicle didn't have gas when picked up, so i had to come back later to pick up the vehicle as staff had to fill gas. Great competitive rates, will match.
Friendly staff, they offered me a SUV in lieu of the compact car with the same price. This is excellent place to rent a car, but my experience at HERTZ of NE at 32 St was terrible. They charged me much higher than the quote. Hossein

They don't have a 0 Star review otherwise I would have given that. These guys commit to a price to a client and then change all of a sudden with almost doubling the figures. PHEW!!!! I would never call there number again.

We had booked a thrifty for 2 days for $39, since thrifty had no cars available, they transferred us to Hertz for the same cost. The cost was$49, when the Hertz guy gave us the keys stating that they are high class than thrifty and their taxes are higher.
Excellent service from your company on our return to Calgary from a ski trip to Panorama Mountain Resort in BC. The Hyundai Sonata appeared to be brand new, got excellent mileage, and was most comfortable. Plenty of room for 2 adults and all their ski gear plus suitcases. We were able to change our return from downtown Calgary to the airport for a small charge, and this saved a lot of unloading, reloading into an Uber and unloading again at the airport. As Hertz Gold members were pleased with your customer service at the airport facility where Pam got us a cart to haul our gear to the Delta location in the terminal. Thank you for making the end of our vacation so stress free.
First, my employer a U S platinum member. That holds no sway in Canada. Second, when the vehicle was returned, we drove it to the dealership. There was a loose bumper, that they said was damaged. we agreed to pay it. When we received our credit card invoice, there was an $86.04 towing charge. The car didn't need to be towed, we drove it back to the place. It has now been 9 months and we still do not have this issue resolved, they refuse to refund a towing charge that they called for, but was not needed. If it takes this long to resolve such a simple issue to the customer's satisfaction, then they get a low scoring review.
