My G.F. was recently hit by a new Driver. ICBC booked a rental car for her. I've never rented a car before and both of us still half awake, and rattled first thing in the morning went to pick up the rental car. I opted for the insurance they offered as she was hit by someone else and it worried me that we wouldn't have coverage if it happened again. The ICBC adjuster told us we didn't need to get the insurance. Looking back I realized Budget did say her insurance policy transferred over to the Rental. It ended up being a $200 bill and I don't know why they would even offer this, to me it seemed like we needed it. I haven't had time to call them during working hours and there is no e mail address to complain. Just be aware that the insurance they offer you is an unnecessary cash grab, especially if you already have a good insurance plan with ICBC. Or whomever your insurance provider is. Lesson learned, but then again, we'd have no reason to rent a car outside of this situation. Not impressed.

Car was sanitized and ready to go. Easy key drop off for returning after hours on the holiday Monday. Budget continues to impress.

I had to get a replacement rental car from this location after a collision. All the staff there were very empathetic and kind. Ted picked me up and drove me over to the location, he was a fantastic driver and there was never a dull moment in conversation. Wesley helped me at the counter and made the rental process and filling out the claims incident report very easy. Wesley was thorough with all the documentation and payment charges and even went over the new vehicle controls with me. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely rent from this location again.

Worst place ever....we were provided a different quote and were overcharged when we went to pick up the car. They have no sense of customer service. Even upon providing the quote details and after confirming the notes of their employees, they would not honour their quotes. I recommend everyone not to go at this place. They are a waste of time.

The front desk person was so cold. I mean you don't have to like me but if your in retail please be a little kind. Considerate. I was really looking forward to taking my children camping because I was able to rent a vehicle, come time to pick it up I get totally sideswiped because this time ( I've been here before) they are no longer accepting Visa debit cards and a deposit. I have money I am not a bum. I offered to put a large deposit as it was just myself and my two daughters who would be using it for our camping getaway.... Nope. Stone cold. I've never felt so horrible. Now I'm stuck in town with no vehicle. My heart hurts. And THIS is why I do not recommend anyone using this service. I feel like every situation a solution can be had but when you have an unbudgable dragon heart at the front counter it's no use. Thanks for nothing now I'm walking and my trip is cancelled. Also I'm taking ALL of my business elsewhere never again will I support a business so cruel.

Called about a collision repair replacement and got nothing but attitude from the guy on the phone just for asking what types of replacements we would be looking at for our SUV. I'm sure he is not representative of the rest of the staff there, but it made for a bad experience.

I needed a vehicle that could tow a 10,000 lb trailer. The only one they had was a big one ton crew cab which was difficult to turn around at the site. It would have been great if they just had a regular cab one ton pickup. I noticed they now offer them at Home Depot. The vehicle I rented averaged 29 L per 100 kilometers. Pick up and delivery was pretty straightforward and there were no surprises with the price although they won't give you a paper receipt. You have to wait for them to process your vehicle and receive an email.

Terrible. Did not go through all there rules with us. We learned through another customer that they would charge us to replace the entire windshield if we chipped the windshield. They tried to push and upscale us on things we didn't need. We were on a schedule and the Rep didn't hurry or show concern. They wanted to charge us QUADRUPLE what other car rental places would have to drop the car of out of town! (I found this out after we rented the car). I would not go back.

Ive had 2 bad experiences with Budget. One at this location a few months back. Reserved a car and of course when I got there, they didn't have what I reserved. They didn't have even close to what I wanted. I ended up with a vehicle down the list, not up. Car drove like it had been driven like it was stolen. I've rented cars from other companies that have nicer, cleaner vehicles. Also , this is the first time I was down graded and not offered a vehicle upgrade for the same price. I will never use this company again.

The car we received at this location was brand new and we were quite happy with that! The service was courteous and professional, however after we had done the walk around of the vehicle and the agent had walked away we realized that he had actually brought us to the wrong vehicle (happened to be the same make/model). We then had to redo the vehicle walk around with the correct car.

If I can offer 1 bit of advice with this company it would be to check, check, and double check the vehicle at rental time. Make sure the rep writes down ALL damage and ANY dirt inside the vehicle you rent, to avoid any clean fees and issues upon returning!!! Treat it like you would in a foreign country, take picture and video so you have proof of what you rented upon returning the vehicle. I had an employee lock mine and my daughter's personal belongings in the vehicle with the alarm armed upon return over a cleaning dispute on a vehicle they gave me dirty to begin with. It was pretty upsetting for my 10 year old daughter and I wasn't very happy with the whole ordeal and still am dissatisfied as an ICBC loss of use customer of Budget. Just cover your butt and do your due diligence to protect yourself when using this company for rentals!

Go here for hidden fees and lies. We asked twice for winter tires, we were told that the car would have them twice, only to receive a car with all season tires. When we called to complain they acted like they had told us all along that they were all seasons. Despit the lies were were polite and the receptionist was rude. We asked how much it was going to cost IN TOTAL to drive the car X amount of days, and they DID NOT tell us about an extra fee for under 25 yr drivers. We would have happily paid it if they had been upfront, but they told us a total instead that excluded that fee (that was much, much lower). Rude receptionists throughout the entire process. Never coming back. I wish I had read the reviews of this place.

We rented a Ford Mustang GT Convertable from this budget rental in Kelowna. Right from when we called to find one at the very last minute to walking in the business they were very friendly and helpful and very easy to deal with. I definitely would recommend a renting car from Budget Kelowna.

Rented a car at this location on Boxing Day after a horrible encounter at the Airport location. We were so thankful of the level of service we received at this location. The clerk was very quick and went over our options and even waived the under 24 fee because my boyfriend was 25 and driving as well. He also set us up with a car with winter tires, which we really needed driving to Nelson. Honestly saved our trip.

Not the best service. Had gotten a compact the first time, and they ran out... So they forced me into a mini van despite telling them my discomfort with that because of the size. Secondly after my actual car got into an incident I had mixed feelings from them.. Again request a compact vehicle, but the gent attempted to Upsell me a larger more expensive vehicle, however I again told them I prefer small cars, and again had been given a larger vehicle. As I am younger than 25 they tossed on an extra fee which I was informed about once I returned the vehicle.

Like some others have said, the service at this location is dishonest, you will be lied to. We were told we would only be charged for our actual use if we decided to bring the vehicle back earlier than our reservation lasted. We asked this question on three separate occasion to make 100% sure. Used for 36 hours and got charged for 99 hours. Employee said they could only send the invoice 30 minutes after returning the car, so we had left already when we realized we'd been scammed, and they charged the credit card for 99 hours of rental two days later. AVOID!

The worst customer service. 1st the lady was very rude, she complained because according to her, we wanted to rent at 8am, she didn't listen to us, we were wrong. Actually we wanted to rent at 4.30pm, i was working this day so impossible at 8am, and we called before coming to say we will be late because we had to wait about 40min a taxi... 2nd we did everything by phone, to rent the car, when we arrived gave all the papers, we couldn't rent the car, and for the lady it was our mistake, we could feel she thought : stupid customers, they are liars... I was so annoyed I became rude, this rent was very important for me, and she was so rude with us so... We went to the insurance to have a refund, and actually we could rent the car (policies) This day an young woman was training, she was very stressed, i can understand with a boss like that : bossy, rude and she doesn't know her job !

We forgot a bag in the car when we returned the car accidentally. The lady on the phone was awful and very useless. Not helpful at all. Don't make any mistakes if you rent a car from Budget. They will order you to come to pick it up right away and blame on you so you will be disappointed. When I went to the store to pick up, they told me that I didn't have to come back right way, and people were very nice. Just customer service on the phone was awful.

Oh my, a complete disaster! Rented two trucks to take to Sechelt for our customer Allan and gave this location a chance as dislike Uhaul tires in winter and what can I say...?...a gong show! My truck had balding tires up front and wipers that totally clunked loud and the key broke off in the ignition just before getting on the ferry and long story short I was not impressed and it stressed me out to the max on this trip. My brother's truck a bit better but no radio at all for his trip down and our combined trip back in the one working truck back to Kelowna. Really? Check and fix trucks accordingly!

I went in the branch, no greeting and what so ever The guy was like super rude looks like he’s on his periods. They already did the inspection so no inspection was performed while i was picking up the car. I mean what? Are you serious? It supposed to be with customer. And lastly, whole two days the car smell has fish smell we don’t know why. We bought the car freshener of our own. Car was not clean properly. I will never book again from BUDGET again. Worse experience ever . After the worst experience, the branch manager reached out to me and apologize for the bad experience and he was kind and really sorry for what happened. So half of the car rental expenses was reimbursed to me which i really appreciated. And also said if ever will be back in Kelowna again he will offer some discount if we rent with them again. His name was ‘Chris’. Thanks for the customer service

Ok, firmly yet nice enough I was asked by Ryan to edit this review so here goes, (will also not post a 1 star if that does help too). Asked for snow tires very clearly when I booked, (way in advance), and was told snow tires would be on the front and back. When I checked the front it was just all seasons! No other trucks in lot as I asked. It is so dangerous to drive up the Coq with just all seasons and seemed like zero care from the front staff when I explained my dilemma. Was frustrated and all that was offered and ONLY cause I had to ask was a 20% discount! Safety matters zero to this location. 2 of 5 stars and thumbs down big time.. Already had a bad experience in past too is thing such as a key breaking off in key ignition before loading a ferry and wipers that had no blades left and scraped the glass big time and not very good tires before. Not even sure why Ryan had to contact me to vent as he is located at the other location, the better one in West Kelowna. I had to rent here again this time cause the start and end point was in KELOWNA, NOT West Kelowna. Am still frustrated that I wrote a letter to head office on it all and ignored as being told one thing and then seeing it to be NOT what I was told is only a big let down, yes? Okay to be honest??????? Not so sure now.

Worst rental car experience ever! People are so arrogant, the car is not working good, the price is really high and they stole my deposite of 165$ for the reservation because i paid with my credit card but the truck was at the name of my boyfriend. We had to pay again, so it cost me 165 extra.
