Writing this review on behalf of a close friend based on the experience he/she had a couple of months back and did not have the heart to speak the truth publicly.. It is obvious how terrible the market currently is, especially for a buyer and first-time homebuyer at that. My friend happened to be on the other end of a potential house purchase where Darcy was the selling agent and the way things were handled were absolutely unethical and unprofessional to say the least. Being at the top of almost 30 offers with one other seller, my friend was given a whole TEN MINUTES to decide how they wanted to make the offer more enticing aka how much more they wanted bid against the other seller. Almost certain that is not legal, but sure. So she had the top 2 people blindly bidding higher against each other and gave such minimal amount of time. The best part is that I’ve had several friends tell me they have been in exact similar situations with this realtor. Not surprised. So read all the 5 star reviews you want, this one is real and honest from the buyers perspective.

Her patience and client dedication have been demonstrated as we have requested to look at countless homes over the years, sometimes as many as 4 or 5 in a row. Darcy has made herself available for these viewings, never imposing her pre-judgements or opinions. We have friends who tell us (horror) stories of their realtors saying, “No no, you don’t want to see that property.” I wish they had been working with Darcy as she would never cast a pre-judgement. She lets us make decisions for ourselves on the homes we wish to visit and allows us to make the call - yes or no - on our own after viewing these properties. This is hugely important. That being said, Darcy does have a keen eye for, and will make note to us of any quality upgrades in a home. She also consistently checks for wiring, windows and furnaces, etc, watching out for peculiar or outdated elements that need replacing or that could be costly to upgrade and meet code. Years of experience and a keen sense for the real estate industry have also endowed Darcy with great negotiation skills which is a vastly understated and undervalued benefit of working with a realtor. She provided us honest advice and answers, she works quickly and efficiently and she leaves her clients feeling like they are in very capable hands. My husband and I continue to highly recommend working with Darcy Richardson, whether you are buying or selling a property.
