I first heard of Peter when my friend raved about her experience selling her home... she is also East Indian, like myself. At the time I was selling the family home and looking to buy a home for myself. I had interviewed 5 other agents before him (who were well known agents, and a couple of others of diverse backgrounds), and I was looking for strategy, preparedness, marketing, professionalism and charisma. I can’t say anything about amazing things about Peter and his team!! I was on the hunt for a strong agent and had sent out a few emails. Peter replied to me right away saying he was on vacation and would be in touch upon his return. A few days passed and Peter met with us at our home. He came in and walked through our home!! My wife and I recently decided that we would like to make the move from our current location in the Doon South area of Kitchener to a country setting outside of the city limits. We were looking for a more rural setting to raise our two children in. When we embarked on this journey we had done some careful market analysis through multitudes of research in regards to current market pricing of both in the city and out, for both our purchase and sale. We had decided that in order to financially make this move happen, we needed to sell our existing property for 1.1 million, and purchase our lot (we are going to build our own home and therefore were only looking for a lot) for 500-600k. We met with Peter and his brother Kris and explained to them our ambitious real estate plans. Peter was very straight forward and to the point. No telling me what I wanted to hear just to give him the listing like multiple other agents I had interviewed. I very much appreciated the lack of “beating around the bush” and getting straight to the cold hard facts. I understand how some people may find Peter’s approach to walk the line of confrontational if they don’t have an open mind to the realities of selling for top dollar. To be honest I constantly had to remind myself that Peter was the professional in the industry and he knows what is best. My wife and I followed his ideas and plans to the letter, and the results followed as we were confident they would. Peter was able to sell our home for $250,000 over our asking price BEFORE it even hit the market. During Covid, this meant only one couple coming through our home rather than hundreds. We were also moving out for the week to make it easier to keep ready for multiple viewings, and didn’t end up needing to do so due to Peter’s due diligence, hard work, truthful and honest guidelines and execution. Kris was able to find us the lot of our dreams for an unbelievable price and negotiated on our behalf beautifully. In the end, we ended up selling for $50,000 more than the top end number we had only hoped to get, and purchasing a lot with Kris for $175,000 less than our anticipation. The hard work, professionalism, and bold truthful approach of the Kostecki brothers put my family and I in a better financial position moving forward with our real estate goals than we could have ever dreamed of when we first embarked on this journey. I have sent multiple friends and family members their way and will happily continue to do so. The bottom line is this, if you want someone who is going be honest and straight forward with you, under promise and over deliver, and do what it takes to earn you and your family top dollar for your home, there simply isn’t a better choice in the K-W area than Kostecki Realty.
