If you have ever bought a home, you know that it can be a wonderfully exciting, nervewracking, thrilling, terrifying, exhausting and exhilarating experience! Amplify all of that by doing it from another province. We hesitated about having a home inspection done, but our realtor suggested we call and have a conversation with a couple of the inspectors, to help us feel comfortable with our decision, or the inspector ~ if we changed our minds. We are very happy that Rob was one of the inspectors we called. From the very first conversation he was very open, explaining exactly what we could expect from him. I think he undersold himself. We met Rob at the house just as he was finishing his inspection and he walked us through the property explaining what he saw. He was very patient and generous with his time and knowledge; answering our questions as much as he was able, and putting everything into perspective. He never spoke over our knowledge levels, never left us feeling like we were asking silly questions, or left us unsure about what he was explaining. Afterward, he provided us with a very complete report that combined photos with explanations. We feel like we have received a very good, impartial perspective into the house, and we know what we are buying. Outstanding Service!! Likely saved us a ton of money, and heart ache! We were in the middle of our move from BC to PEI and needed an inspection done on a home there we were going to purchase be fore arriving. After doing a little research and reading some reviews we came across Robert and Dune Right Inspections. Robert did the inspection for us and had the report ready the same day! I called him with a few questions I had and he was more than helpful. Explained everything in the report to us etc. Keep in mind this is all whilst we were still in BC. Long story short, we decided not go with this particular house. It had issues, plenty of them too. However, if it wasn't for the inspection that Robert did we wouldn't have known about them. Property owner was not forthright on the PDCS form, and I wouldn't even have known to look for these issues. Best investment I've made in sometime. Sure there's the fee, but it's peanuts compared to the money pit I could have ended up buying. We have no reservations in recommending Rob! In fact, as we still aren't in a house yet, we'll be using his services again!
