The pattern of Powell River Royal LePage review summary shares a very similar experience i had with Warren Behan (W.B.) in selling and purchasing.
Listed and sold by W.B. in 2018, a very short, sweet, smooth sailing experience. I would give 4 stars.
Recently i purchased a Powell River property and closed the deal in October 15, 2019. This time
It was not a smooth sailing, after i asked for a two weeks extention from the original closing date.
The reason was to match the sale of my home in Ontario for this purchase. I did get an extention with a fee of $500 which i was happy to pay to the seller.
Why not smooth? It came from W.B. 's complains, and negative comments made to this extention. Wasn't helpful to me at all on my overall stresses in trying to close this deal .
Second example was W.B. jumped up to his feet in fear of not closing the deal when i asked for appt for bank appraiser to appraise the property in Powell River. I had to reveal my financial situation to calm him down by telling him it was for a better rate. Again it was not helpful on my end.with his fear casted on me
Also W.B. was the listing agent. i was his client. Due to conflict of interest, he picked another agent in his office to represent me the buyer. But i realized later on the relationship between W.B. and the buyer agent is that of the Boss WB and the Employee. I didn't get a buyer agent who could protect my interest 100% without running the risk of pissing off the Boss if he would stand up for me. Also i was in Ontario the whole time except a few days in Powell River viewing the property. I needed help from WB's Company more than ever. Overall, i had a very negative, unsupportive experience from WB.
Very disappointed at the service W.B.'s company provided to me. And surprised to see when the sailing was not smooth, the services were no longer sweet and sunny anymore.
Also i was given an impression throughout the whole time, W.B. never had any confidence in me to be able to close the deal. And i was treated that way too by his complains.
Interestingly to see W.B. replied to one of his old clients in google review, he said that he took pride in his service. I am curious about what kind of pride W.B. took from the services provided to me this time.
This concludes the similar pattern in google's review summary: when smooth sailing 4 stars, when not, 1 star. But this 1 star I like to give it to my buyer agent. Thank you for having tried your best.
P.S. on paper, the commission is paid by seller, but at the end of the day, behind paper, it is the Buyer who brings $$$ to the table. They deserve the same quality service as the sellers do. After all, it is the service provided by realtors could really justify the commission earned.
