When we decided Belleville was the right city for, despite not having visited much, we contacted John-Ross of Royal LePage’s Parks Group. Born and raised in the city and drawing on generational knowledge from the rest of his team, he was a wealth of information about what neighbourhood and price point would best serve our need. He agreed to show us any listing we wanted to see, but was always honest about it’s positives and/or negatives. Where to begin? Belleville wasn't even a place we considered until, truth be told we happened on Belleville.ca....then we looked a bit closer.... And then saw the potentials.... Contacted the Parks Group and although the initial house we looked at wasn't available, we could not resist looking again.... There was absolutely no pressure, it was talking to a friendly stranger. When we found a few more houses of interest we were, virtually, introduced to Carter Little.... And then the adventure began.... Best Tour Guide Ever!!! Please make no mistake, I am not trying to be silly...but that is what it was, Carter took us house to house and guided us so that we could see the neighbourhoods. You see, we came from away, Carter was more than we expected, yes, yes of course courteous, friendly upbeat... Professional... But he was more, he was mindful and respectful of the current changes and limitations to be sure, but we did not Feel 'IT'... everything he did to show us the potentials, the possibilities, he did it in such a way that we could take our time, ask all manner of questions, he talked to us as people, not stiffly or too agreeable as some may do with customers... He sat with us on the grass and told us about what the city had to offer, what it's like living there, together we mused about the houses themselves. Later, when we decided to make an offer, again, no hard line, just ease and candor. Carter guided and informed thoughtfully throughout process. We truly appreciated that he worked with us and for us. Most remarkable to me is that Carter doesn't just sell the house. Throughout the entire process from initiation to move in kept touch with us. He made us-Strangers in a new land- feel welcome, reassured and upbeat every step of the way. Always considerate, always genuine. Any questions, any time of day or night, even well after the sale--he answered. If he didn't know then and there, he would respond as soon as he found the answer (PDQ, I must say). Uprooting into the great unknown as you can imagine could be daunting and a bit scary for some. But let me reassure you, should you be one of us who have decided to take a chance here in Belleville, give the Parks Group a call or send an email-(you know I'm telling you to ask for Carter Little specifically), you will be in good hands throughout your whole adventure. I promise.
