Proactive, Solution-oriented, Market Expert, Trusted Advisor! We were first introduced to Bill Gassett as 1st-time home buyers over 10 years ago when he was the seller's agent for our first home. We were so impressed with how he navigated the negotiations, his knowledge of the local market, tenacity, and general advocacy for his clients, that we agreed when we went to list our house in the future - he'd be our guy. Ten years later, and after several interactions with Bill along the way (post-reno estimates, etc.), we were ready to sell. Bill was incredibly well-prepared for our initial discussion - having a marketing & sales strategy already drafted, counseled us on timing and made sure we were fully informed re: the process/challenges related to the sales process. He left no stone unturned and patiently took hours to step us thru it all. His preparation and knowledge of the market paid off, as we sold our home (above asking) within 2 days. Within a few weeks, we were working with Bill again, only this time acting as our buyer's agent. And yet again, he demonstrated his superior knowledge of the area/market and ushered us thru the purchase of our next home. He made it as seamless and painless as possible - getting all the detailed negotiations done (including a 3rd party relocation agency) with the efficiency of seasoned professional. Throughout all the various interactions and capacities in which we worked with Bill, he's been a consummate professional, has endless patience (answering a million questions w/o delay - even when on vacation!) and most importantly - is always your TRUSTED ADVISOR. I purchased an 11 room 3500 sf home almost 24 years ago which I planned on flipping. It ended up being the longest flip in history! It's on a main road so selling it became a challenge to say the least! Throughout the years I hired numerous agents who claimed they could easily sell the beautiful home but they didn't deliver and only a few brought potential buyers to view it! We met Bill while looking at one of his listings. We had interviewed several other agents to help us with the sale of our home, but decided one more opinion couldn't hurt. Bill's review of our home was very candid and we found his appraisal refreshing. It is our belief that others had placed a higher value on our home just to earn the contract, but would have caused problems when it didn't sell quickly. Their appraisals could not be backed up with the proper evidence from prior sales. The first 60 - 90 days are critical and pricing your home incorrectly the first time could lead to a lengthy listing and reduced ultimate selling price. We were very impressed with his marketing strategy and we had an offer within 30 days. It all happened so fast that it put us behind schedule on finding our new home. Bill once again came through and we were able to close on the new house the same day as the sale of our old home. Moving can be a very stressful situation, especially when you have three young children. Bill was always willing to do whatever was needed to help us with the move and we highly recommend his services.
