I purchased my home through Justin Cohen and had a terrific experience. Over the course of 6 months, Justin showed me several homes in the area where I was looking, always responding quickly to my questions and making himself available to walk through a home with me, whether during the week or on the weekend - even holiday weekends - and sharing his thoughts on pros/cons. He carefully assesses a home's value, keeping in mind market trends, seasonality, and the area, and his team provided me with lots of information about comparable homes upon my request, so that I could run the numbers. When it came time to start making offers, he did an excellent job negotiating on my behalf and keeping me updated throughout the process. He is professional, forms a good rapport with the selling agents, and has a knack for uncovering useful information about sellers' situations, priorities and desires regarding price/closing date that ultimately pays dividends in the negotiation process. I am very pleased with the outcome and can't wait to move into my new home!

I am sorry I have to use my family's account to write this review as I don't feel safe using my name... I had the worst experience ever with Barry Cohen, he is arrogant, very hard to get hold of, however, he is very kind until the moment you sign the contract with him, he will just assign one of his team members to deal with you and disappear. He will try his best to convince you on an extremely low listing price by saying how bad the market is, I will NOT recommend anyone to hire him or his team. The good reviews seem fake to me.

I listed my home (Lawrence Park) in the fall with a different agent, but with four kids and pets, found the showings too cumbersome around Thanksgiving and took it off the market to potentially relist in the spring. Came home one afternoon to one of Barry's agents waiting in my driveway to tell me they had a buyer and would I be willing to let them show the property. I agreed and the morning of the supposed showing (after I've cleaned, vacated kids, pets, etc) the agent calls to ask if I will be listing with the same agent in the spring as I previously had. I said I would be, since they had time and expenses into. The Cohen agent then goes on to tell me that their team policy is to only show their buyers to listings that they have. I'm sure this "buyer" never existed, but if this is their policy, they are doing all of their buyers a massive disservice by refusing to show them only homes in which they could double end the commission. If not illegal, certainly unethical on many levels. With as many listings and business as they already have, it seems silly to use these kind of tactics to solicit more.

Promised the world delivered the minimum. If your house is not $4 million + beware! We were promised staging and a video tour and that Barry and his son would be the LAs. This is why we gave him the listing! After we signed, we got none of these things!!
