This review is going to sound like her mother wrote it because I have absolutely nothing but effusive praise for this realtor. I had two other real estate agents try to sell my home and while they were fine comminication was rare and so were showings. I won't lie sometimes I cursed her when we had yet another showing but she got the job done in very little time from listing to selling. We even had multiple offers and I thought those were things like unicorns and griffins, rare and made-up. She must be the hardest working person in real estate. The one question I ask myself when recommending someone no matter what they do is would I use them again. Yes I would. 100 percent yes.

This time we found ourselves needing to sell an estate home after my father-in- law passed away. Our experiences had told us to research , research, research before choosing a realtor. Michelle is by far the worst realtor we've ever had. She has very little knowledge about neighborhoods in HRM. She got lost twice and ran a stop sign in the time we spent with her. She complains if you want to see homes in different areas of HRM because the driving distance and traffic is a problem for her. We rented a Viceroy cottage which is also her listing for sale, the property was poorly maintained, the land unusable, and full of mice (killed 3 the first week alone). Every piece of furniture was well beyond its life span. To top things off they had the audacity to charge us $200 to clean the rental after we had left. To be fair, we did not mop the floor, but otherwise the house was the same as we had received it. She even mentioned a larger charge if the appliances had not been working?, not damaged (like a stove element not working). NOT WORKING?? I only wish there was a rating of less than 1 star.

We started looking for a house the beginning of 2021, just as the market started going nuts in Halifax. Michelle quickly became our dependable real estate agent. Even when we felt so discouraged after losing our first bid, she encouraged us. She was incredibly knowledgeable, which eventually helped us nab our house for less than 10% over asking in a market that most were going for over 20%. We only lost one bid which we thought was amazing in that market. She was incredibly responsive to our inquiries, even with a time difference. Michelle identified that the house that we purchased had a minor issue that may scare others but that we shouldn’t be afraid of; we bid accordingly to include budget to remediate the issue and we won the bid! We would hire Michelle again in a heartbeat. You should too!

My husband and I had less than a week to travel across the country and purchase a house in the HRM on only one week's notice. Michelle made herself completely available to us on our arrival. She even previewed the property we were most keen on ahead of our arrival. She paid attention to the smallest details, which was very helpful in our tight timeframe. She told us the good and the bad of every property we looked at and in a manner that respected our own decision making. She had a great eye for how various properties could be further improved. We only gave Michelle about two days notice that we were looking for a house in the HRM area.
