We had bad experience with our home, had a few offers and one got chucked aside never even gave them a chance. I asked how’s it going and her response waiting to hear from her broker. Heard from her broker and responded, oh we will have to move forward. Then money changed hands from lawyer and they didn’t even send in the percentage they were suppose to have received. Poor performance again it’s only by the realtor we had. Not all are bad! Oh well worth checking out the Realtor Board/lawyer! Terrible disappointment!

Few weeks ago I bought a house in EcumSecum. I trusted the agent her name is Ella Rowell and didn’t see the property in person. I am in Ontario and COVID... I was mislead and a victim of Codes of Ethic violations. The house a health hazard- mold, massive water damages and garbage inside. Absolutely not habitable! She knows I will move there in the minute when the keys available. When I arrived to the house I just bought it was an enormous shock! I was mislead in many ways. Three bedrooms! Only one has separate entrance. The other “bedroom” 4 feet width! Maximum can be called a walking closet. The laminate floors totally water damaged and the whole house smells mold, dump and dirty. I couldn’t packed out my belongings, got back my overloaded RV and headed back to Ontario. I was mad and now I have to go after my money and I will not let this agent to go away with it.

There is a property in Nova Scotia I’ve been interested in. I live out of province and was connected to Sandi Carroll, who by the way initially presented herself as being professional and motivated. I thought I was dealing with an experienced realtor who would promote confidence in their ability to make a sale happen. When Sandi and I connected she was late with my initial offer and I technically lost out on an offer. Sandi did not even put an offer together for me as a back up offer just in case. Almost two months after I received another email stating the property is back on the market. I asked Sandi if she could find out the previous potential buyers did a home inspection and if I would be able to have a copy, that I’d be willing to pay for it if required. This would of relieved some time. Sandi said ‘No’ that there is no way of knowing. She did not even make an attempt to contact the listing agent to find out. Then Sandi told me that all offers are usually 90% of asking price. That’s not true. All offers are negotiable. Sandi didn’t seem to understand this. Sandi didn’t want to put together my offer to start negotiations. Sandi also told me that Nova Scotia is a sellers market. Not true, you can not base the entire province on Halifax. Every area is different in regards to pricing. I technically lost out in another opportunity because of this realtor. Sandi is the reason why properties sit. Sandi is not motivated to work, follow up and make the calls to get things done. Sandi is looking for the easy sale. She is not willing to represent her clients appropriately.

Embeded Fabrication

Had to end run around the agent and contact the buyer myself to work out a deal. They took down our listing before the money changed hands, refused to keep it posted with a pending flag on it....if the deal fell through we would be back to square one with advertising it. Aggressively insisted the place was "sold" when all we had was a deposit. Paid a lot of money for very little on their part. Outright refused to talk to us after that, we were out if town and trying to find out about remaining contents. Not even a thank you for your money BTW..I was assisting my 85 year old mother with this, they talk with me to secure the deal but when the hard questions come they only address her LOL If you don't like dealing with people YOU find rude or difficult....then you don't belong in business. I've owned and run businesses...your most valuable customers are those that provide critical feedback. Beware.

I recently sold my home with them. My agent was Terri Douglas. I am a first time home seller, and didn’t know much of the process. Terri was highly professional but also comfortable with work with (a relatable person is key!). The whole process was no nonsense, went incredibly smoothly, and ended with superb results. I had lots of questions along the way that she handled well. She was top notch when it came to advice on what to do to help with selling. I’m not exaggerating, I highly highly recommend them. Home selling and buying is claimed to be incredibly stressful, and I’m sure it can be. But if you have someone superb in your corner the process becomes smooth and easy. You don’t earn 5/5 from me without deserving 5/5. give them a call, trust me

We moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia during this pandemic. We started looking for a home in February 2020 and was given Anne DaSilva as a contact. This was the first home in 30 years that we have purchased and were incredibly nervous about the prospect of virtual tours, picking a neighbourhood that suited our lifestyle and finding a home from so many miles away. Anne was incredible. She toured many homes for us with her trusty cell phone, crawled under spaces, hopped over obstacles and always made us feel that nothing was a big deal. She would drive to homes, get her Facetime going just for me to say...."forget it, I don't like the waterfront" or "sorry, can't stand the look of the house" and turn around and get back in her car. Since we did not know Nova Scotia at all, (my husband was transferred here), Anne was our only contact to ask questions and get the information we needed to make our many decisions, and turns out, we were very lucky to have had her. We have been in our home for over a month now and are so happy with it, our community is welcoming and friendly our lake is absolutely beautiful and we feel at home. Cindy Gregory was a referral from a friend. We had a military move from AB to NS during the Covid issues and were unable to get a house hunting trip. Cindy started by considering what our needs and wants were and then able to tell us what areas to look at. The market had jumped in price and houses were selling within hours of going public which was very challenging and annoying. She kept us in good spirits even though we felt that we were very demanding on her time with all our questions. My spouse was very active in hunting and Cindy usually texted us a house to consider almost at the same time as my spouse seeing it which was very reassuring that we were a priority despite being 5000 kms away. If we liked it she rushed to get a viewing and would either give us a detailed report or if it was a really nice home, then a video to see. We valued our experience with Cindy immensely. It would have been VERY difficult buying sight-unseen without her experience and expertise in knowing what to look for in a good house. Tom Gerard deceived buyer as well hiding the truth the property has some illegal problems! Tom Gerard put his bloody 150,000 commission fee in his pocket in 3 mins, he is facing lawsuit now, try not deal with KW, lots of push and rush ! Not respectful real estate agent
