Dustin was referred to us as we were looking to sell our rental property over In Nanaimo. Dustin and the team went the extra mile with the entire selling process and always quick to act and respond to feedback. There were some rocky bumps we faced during the sale, but Dustin was always there to help tackle the problems and never lose the sight of the end goal of selling the place - which of course happened in the end. We'd never hesitate to recommend Dustin and his team if anyone is looking for a realtor in Vancouver Island - I really wish we had someone like him over in the Lower Mainland!

I purchased my first home this year, as we were moving from Victoria to Nanaimo. My sister recommended Shyla Young as our realtor with Layzell, Dreger, Walton and Associates. The market was near zero inventory while we were looking for a home, and properties were being listed with offers already in place. We could not have predicted how challenging it would be to even find a place, and I am convinced that NO ONE would have worked as hard as this woman did for us. No one could know how much it mattered in an environment this competitive to be so responsive and so committed to the effort. Without Shyla's determination, positivity, thoroughness and unbelievable ability to appear in multiple places at once, we would not have found our home. (I'd swear there could be more than one of her---and if there isn't, the universe could definitely use more Shylas!!)

Never use these guys! We bought a house from these guys and they sold us a house with massive damage that they knew about and didn’t disclose. It cost us about $50,000 to repair the damage. They wrote in the fine print of the contract that we could not go after them after we purchased the home. We tried to contact a lawyer but apparently these guys have such a horrendous reputation they have used all the lawyers on the Nanaimo area and there would be a breach of confidentiality if any lawyers in Nanaimo were to represent a client other then these lawyers. So for us to sue them we would have to hire a lawyer most likely from Vancouver or Victoria. We were unaware of this kind of contract because we moved here out of province. Very disappointed if we could give them zero stars we would.

Highly recommend Dustin Layzell. A construction company was working on the house and the owner recommended Dustin. There were lots of things to juggle. Getting the interior work finished and cleaned up. Getting some electrical work done. Making sure the furnace and hot water heater were working. Dustin coordinated with the construction company and the other trades and EVERYTHING went smoothly. Even during a pandemic he got us an offer in 4 days. That one didn't close but he got us 2 more offers and the final one was within $5000 of our asking price so we are very happy. Dustin is a clear communicator. Kept us informed every step of the way and gave sound advice. You can't go wrong here. Yay Dustin!
