My husband and I are completely appalled at the lack of professionalism in dealing with Sean and his agent at this location.
Upon reviewing the pictures taken of our home (which were on an older iPhone and terrible quality), we requested for better pictures and were given a flat out no. We requested her to review her grammar in the listing and were given excuses as to why it “wouldn’t update” but somehow the date for the open house and offers could be changed.
We did not receive emails with new listings to find our own new home - they were more worried about the sale of ours and pressuring us to sell quickly. My husband and I found houses on our own to view, and even then, she was repeatedly late which significantly cut down on the time we were able to view the homes due to the 30-minute viewing time.
Our realtor did not provide us a copy of the contract until requested (three weeks later) and when I asked for the contract, I was then asked by our realtor “is there a problem?” and she backtracked to explain (as it was only then that we found discrepancies in the quoted rate and the rate that was written on the contract, which was filled out and dated AFTER we signed and agreed to list with them) as to why it was higher.
After a terrible experience with our realtor, we requested to transfer. I was then told that she would need to talk to her broker. I was given a call by Ryan (lovely fellow) to see if there was something that could be done internally but at this point we were firm on wanting to transfer.
We were told that they would see about having our listing taken down and getting re-listed from day one - we then received an offer and were pressured by our realtor and Sean to take this, rather than start fresh, as we had wanted.
We declined the offer, as we had made up our minds about transferring and I then received a call from Sean, who was also asking about resolving this internally; we were very clear in our request that our listing be transferred to another agent/broker of our choice. When I gave the name of the realtor, this office contacted our new realtor.
I have now been informed that our listing is essentially being held hostage until it expires, only setting our family further back in our search for our forever home.
Sean then refused to give me any more details, even though my husband (who is the only name on our current home) clearly stated that due to our work schedules, I could make any decisions and speak with them for anything needed. I was made to feel stupid and small.
I would not recommend this office to anyone. Steer clear, because if things go south, they don’t let you go.
