Extremely happy with our purchase of our new home in East Lachine, a great area of Montreal where redevelopment is only getting started! This neighbourhood has access to our favourite green spaces, extensive paths for sport and leisure, local eateries and restaurants that warm the soul, without forgetting the very practical easy access to downtown Montreal, the South Shore and the West Island. We applaud the resolve that the promoters and builders have shown since the beginning of the project. The project is well underway now, but only after many unforeseeable obstacles at the project’s start. And unfortunately, by reading through reviews left by some Google users, it can be revealed that the challenges of running a million dollar development project cannot be grasped by some. In the end, the many thousand new residential units and commercial spaces in this extremely well located area of Montreal, a tech, financial, social and cultural hub for the World as well as one of Canada’s leading metropolitan cities can undoubtedly have many positives namely to grow and symbiotically contribute further to the city’s development. Local government is also working hard with the promoter and builders with an equally valid vision for the area. VillaNova, a place within Montreal well worth looking into if you can and want to be a part of the city’s future.

Absolutely embarrassing. They don’t update us on the construction. I pass by there everyday because I live in that area and no progress at all. This is not looking good at all.





After visiting the sales office, I was very disappointed. VillaNova townhouses are 200K more expensive than comparable Miss Brown townhouses just a few blocks north of the Villanova site. For what? And that is not to mention the construction site that will be VillaNova for the next 10 years.. Enjoy if you are planning on buying in phase 1.. Also, there might be some nice street layout within the site but there is a very limited roadway leading out of that area, so traffic in the morning after 42000 people move in (official estimated number) will be catastrophic. Also, I am assuming a lot of those new inhabitants will be young families, 4000 new units and no new elementary and high school? That will be interesting. Anyways, my point is that what Lachine needed were affordable single family houses and townhouses in the 350-550k range. Yet, the starting price for townhouses is 558k + tax and going up quickly with options left and right. A lot of condos are already available all over the borough and many are having a hard time to sell already. Many young couples in condos are struggling to find affordable houses or townhouses therefore staying in their condos or moving out of the borough. This creates an overwhelming amount of supply in the area with a lot of people attempting to sell or waiting on the sidelines. More condos in VillaNova won't solve the situation (need for single family housing) in the area at all. I am saying that while fully understanding that condos are much more profitable for promoters due to the fact that they are building and selling vertically on the same allotted land. Best of luck to the promoters but Lachine Est isn't an area where I would spend 600-700k on a townhouse when there are better options at that price point elsewhere. The lack is in the 350-500k range in my opinion. My 2 cents. Update July 2018: Revisited VillaNova recently; literally everything I mentioned above is still very much accurate. Prices are senseless, construction will be constant for 10+years, traffic will be hell with the borough of Lachine not planning well for a 4000+ housing development, etc. MUCH MUCH better options elsewhere. I'm afraid the people leaving 4-5 stars reviews are being WOWed by the developper's beautiful presentation without thinking much further about their future day to day lives and value of their money towards that potential purchase.

OMG I passed by 2 years later to see how this construction was going and Villa Nova didn’t even start building!!!!!! I went two years ago to inquire about this project and it was way too expensive and literally the street behind you was old homes with a street that was rotting! I would never moved here and that’s why I didn’t :) sooo happy because the project was pricy, pushy sales people and full of lies. Bought a high end project called Viva condos laval

Poor quality of materials and craftsmanship from someone I know that moves there and they themselves are not happy at all. Not to mention, the location needs some major work. A project that will take 20-25 years to clean up Lachine.

Huge project in a very industrial area. Will be difficult for those purchasing in phase 1 to be surrounded by an active construction site! Will be a traffic nightmare once all phases are completed. P.S. Sailboats cannot sail on Lachine canal, so maybe insert some powerboats instead to keep it real!





Amazing project but very pricy, you can buy a house instead in West Lachine for less money, more land and better location. As others have mentioned you are investing in a promise to deliver an eco village inside a wasteland. I am hoping they succeed since it will gentrify the area and vastly improve the infrastructures. Quality material but way overpriced for that area.
