We sold our house with Heather 2 years ago. She was great from the start, answered all questions, coached us well on how to prep our house and did great marketing with her social media videos. However, we were disappointed on offer day. We got 2 offers, 1 was her client. A third person called her while we were reviewing offers in the evening on offer day, she did not allow him to make an offer. Not sure the process on timing, but we felt we would've liked to still hear that offer at least. Secondly, we never discussed how her commission rate would change if we selected her client's offer (which we did). She told us there would be no change in commission, other realtors we were considering told us they would do 1% less if it ended up being their client who bought our house. During the offer review, she pushed us to just take her client's offer which was higher by about 1000$. We asked to go back to both parties and see if they would offer their "best offer". We were familiar with this bidding war process as we had been on this side before multiple times. She was not happy with this and told us we were "getting greedy" but did it anyway. Not great to hear, after all the work we put into renovating our 1900s house. All in all, the end result just made us feel overall disappointed in ourselves and the entire house selling process, rather than proud and successful. She is good at what she does, just make sure to ask questions and be aware of the potential issues when the realtor is representing buyer and seller.
