Our family has been using Kirsten for many years for buying and selling homes, so when it came time for us to find our forever home, there was no doubt in our minds, who we would use. We are very particular on what we wanted and very often with conflicting points of view and our idea of a dream home weren't on the same page. The description of the house on Ms. Mason’s listing very clearly stated a roughed in bathroom in the downstairs space. After a LOT of back and forth between several vendors, it was declared that there was no rough-in at all. This was after incurring over $600 in fees to find this out. We have paid over $3K to rough in the bathroom to date. It took more than 4 months to replace a broken window, and was only done because we did all of the follow up. I would not trust them to follow through with any of their dealings, whether it is purchasing or selling.

In the fall I moved from the Fraser Valley to Kamloops. We bought a house and the listing agent was Kirsten Mason with Century 21 Desert Hills. I have bought and sold 7 houses in the last 20 years and never have I had an experience like this. 6 months later, we are still battling for agreed-upon reimbursements and settlements. Kristen made promises and failed to follow through. We approached the owner, Karl Neff, and had an even more frustrating encounter. With his refusal to review the details of the discrepancy or ability to communicate without emotion, he has made our opinion of this realty establishment even worse. I would stay away from them as selling or listing agents if you don’t want to have 6 months of headaches only to be told that they will not follow through.

We sold our house in September 2021. Kirsten was our listing agent and we found her to be very professional. She showed up on time for all meetings. She came well prepared for our initial interview, with comparative listings, which comforted in our decision that we were entering the market at a good starting price.
