DO NOT RENT HERE! Ana and her staff are the most incompetent and dishonest people I have ever rented from. Suite was not painted after last Tennant (walls were yellow) burns in the carpet amongst other damages which were all documented before move-in. Upon moving out they kept my damage deposit and cited previous Tennants damage as the reason, I have before and after pictures for proof(wasnt worth fighting them to get back the money and what can you really do anyway, I guess they have to recoup their losses somehow). Reminded them every three months of my two year stay that the smoke detector didnt work, as of the day i moved out it was still not functioning. Pool was "under repair" for a whole year. Dont beleive me? Rent here and find out yourself!

I currently live in 1 bedroom apartment here in G building and it isn't what the photos shown. Yes, they reno'd it prior to myself moving in, got new carpets, new appliances, new paint, everything. But two weeks of being here I seen a big old bed bug in my bathroom. I keep everything tidy and organized so I think the building itself it infested. Neighbors are loud at all hours, last night one of them was banging on the wall (could be using a hammer and nail) but this was at 11:00pm. Dont move here, after my lease is up I'm gone.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! Always a chore to get stuff done. Office is NEVER opened a decent amount of hours, especially after 4pm. Nothing is ever good enough for them or head office. The rules and regulations are even worse. Plus, some of them don't make sense. The pool is closed during the summer months every year dueto "maintenance". Vehicles are getting damaged and nothing is done about it. Residents make the building unsafe by leaving the doors propped open. Instead of getting cameras to protect us and our stuff, they just make excuses. They want to charge even more for parking stalls. So if you're a family with two vehicles, you have to pay to park the second one when the two and three bedrooms should have a second stall included. To make matters worse, they don't have visitor parking. People leave the buildings gross and it takes a long time to have it cleaned. Just overall disappointing. Never had so many issues renting before.

This complex is beautiful and the staff are incredibly sweet. Especially this one woman, Rona, she went above and beyond to be accommodating and kind. She was very patient with us while showing suites and had a very professional and polite demeanor. The leasing office and parking lot are immaculate which is welcoming. The people employed there obviously take a lot of pride in their work as everything is very well-kept and neat. The amenities are as beautiful as they look in the photos, the area is great-- right next to the hospital and within walking distance to the mall and plenty of places to get groceries. The buildings themselves are well cared for and some of them have charming features such as beautiful french doors. The laundry rooms are squeaky clean, the residents seem happy and friendly, there isn't any excessive noise and even the geese and bunnies seem happy in the lawn. The apartments themselves are really nice, especially the renovated ones. They are spacious and bright with nice counters and appliances. I think anyone would love it there, I felt right at home just being shown around. I badly want to live here.

I was looking for a short term lease, and Cambridge West came highly recommended. Our leasing consultant, Ronna Masongsong, was exceptional! She made the process so easy, and was in communicative throughout the whole thing. We are officially moving in this month, and are thankful for the professional and kind service. Ronna, you are the best! All the best on your future endeavours. Edit: I was on a short term 4-month lease with Cambridge and had the easiest transition while Ronna was with the company. However, after she left, the quality of service was not nearly up to par. While my stay was short and mostly pleasant, the staff did have many instances of miscommunication regarding maintenance follow up as well as the processes for booking the gym. Overall, Cambridge West is a pleasant community to be in, but if you have follow up questions for the team, I'm not confident you'll get a clear answer.

This place is an absolute joke. As mentioned above in many many many of the reviews, the water temperature is actually dangerous. It goes to scalding hot burn your skin temperatures (let's hope nobody has their face in the stream when it happens, because that would be unimaginably painful) to freezing cold. When you complain to them about it, prepare to be ignored! If you are not giving glowing reviews about this place you will be ignored. We had bugs in our apartment, the laminate floors were peeling up and there were stains all over the carpets. Which were supposed to be professionally cleaned upon arrival, which they expect you to do or they will take money from you "to have it done". Which is clearly something they have never done. When I moved out I rented a professional carpet cleaning machine, because I was told by the leasing agent Sria that all we had to do was provide proof that we cleaned the carpets. When I showed them proof they told me it wasn't good enough and I had to have it done professionally and they were charging me 250 to have it cleaned. Thankfully they dropped the charge because they are "replacing the carpet" so for the next person who lives in 309 building E... make sure you have new carpets at the very least. Which brings me to my next point! Be extra careful when moving out, they do not conduct a move out inspection with you and then try to gouge you with false cleaning expenses. On top of the 250 they wanted to pry from me for carpet cleaning they wanted to steal 215 for dusting... claiming the vinyl blinds weren't cleaned to their standard. Which apparent also have be professionally cleaned, they just neglect to mention that. So I emailed them saying I thought those charges were unreasonable, sent them pictures of the state of the apartment when I moved out, and still have not heard back from them.... no surprise there. Please do yourself a favor and never move in here. Spend the extra money and rent from a place that actually cares about the living situation of the tenants. The only pro I can say is I got super cheap Shaw cable and internet from living there, which I still have the same deal after I moved. BEWARE THIS COMPANY AND THIS PLACE!!!

This is a very noisy un clean Building. Infested with bed bugs. Bad to no maintenance. And the only turn the heat on for the winter months. You will freeze in the spring and fall cold nights. And when I said I need it on. Instead of just giving me heat that is included in my rent the just straight up evicted me. NOT WORTH IT!!!_

I have edited this review from a one star to a 5. Without going into specifics I had a number of issues pertaining to my lease here, but after being able to talk to the manager Anna in person, who I have now learned can be, and IS as pleasant has her colleagues. My impression of weidner and this specific complex has changed for the better. I believe Anna is part of a team trying to improve Weidner. While my experience here hasn't been perfect, the closest you can get in this unfair reality is when people try to at least make up for it. The units are spacious, and relatively quiet considering the neighbors. Besides the pleasant sound of birds in the summer. I am very happy to have changed my 1 star review to a 5 star one.

Well I live here for the last 6 years, and to be honest I can not wait till my lease will be over to move out of here The rent is way too high for this place, The corridors looks like they never been renovated since the 70's,you have only one washer dryer in every floor, and they not working right, kids are running here like it is the gym, when your upstairs neighbor is walking in his apartment you hear/feel it like an elephant is moving up there, They have a few phone numbers in the office but it is impossible to reach them, and if you need a fix in your apartment good luck because you will wait for it Bottom line for the same price you CAN find a better place

I emailed and called them. No one is responsing. I found a mice in my aprtment and can't even get a call back. When my lease is over I'm definitely moving out. This is not the first time they ignored my services. The first time was when one of my shower knob got loose. It took 2 weeks for them to repair it. I don't even know if there's still mice in my apartment.

First of all I just want to say that If you move intoCambridge west, Don’t. Horrible place, nothing’s been changed since the 70s or 80s. The renovations that they have done to the place are extremely half assed. And is really not worth the money they’re asking.

Lately I have noticed that issues are being resolved quicker than they used to be. That said, it is a run of the mill apartment building. The location is great, however. That said, I found a homeless fellow with a cardboard sign sleeping in the porch of Building D the other night. The police were called and I can only assume the vagrant was removed. The security door is often propped open without any explanation.

I lived in this community for 7 years and had no issues till the management changed. When we moved to a different unit, the state the apartment was handed over to us was pathetic.. mind you, the only time we were allowed to view the place was when there were people living in it and were denied the request to view the place after they moved out. Yes.... denied! So we go into an apartment that has torn and stained carpets, burnt kitchen floors, dilapidated cabinets, broken window and the icing on the cake... patchy tub which was not safe to use. We were "allowed " to use out older apartment for 3 days for our showers till the tub was redone. And for all this we get a $25 Walmart gift card while the manager tells us to get a rug to put on the torn and stained carpets. Flash forward to 3 years and we are ready to move out because we are tired of how pathetic their maintenance has become. In order to save the big guns money, they have only 2 maintenance staff available and it took months and repeated requests to get one thing taken care of. Covid had become a good excuse to not get any work done. But they were busy sprucing up the place for new tenants because the only advantage of living there, is the location. So as we moved out, we got a letter stating that we were charged $400 for the move out cleaning.. mind you... cleaning of the torn, stained carpets and the dilapidated counters and cabinets. Yes, we forgot to clean the fridge and couldn't do much with the stove fan cause the exhaust doesn't work, but really?? $400 ???!! So if you are moving there and specifically into B205.. watch what you are getting. Also the fridge light went kaput and wasn't changed till we moved out and the stove decides to act up and work only when it wants to. Oh and rats.. did I mention rats?!! Imagine my fright when I saw my cat hunt down a rat! And the response we get from the manager is that we shouldn't be keeping flour in our cabinets... our kitchen cabinets! I'm only giving this 2 stars because of staff like Rachana and Sri who were the saving grace of that office. Also a shout out to Phillipe and Jeff for doing their best with the maintenance .

the building manager, Ronna M, is very professional, and super friendly and always willing to help in any way that she is able. Upon the very first meeting, she was super knowledgeable and very up to date on all things revolving around the job and maintenance of the building. She helped us get all the necessary paperwork to move in, and she was very approachable. She is a very amazing lady, which in turn helps the outlook on the whole property. Very professional and she made us feel at home, even before we moved in. we were very excited to become residents in this well maintained and quiet property. Would recommend with no hesitation. All in all, 100% satisfied with the way she conducts herself, and represents the company.

This place was horrible. Building always smelt moldy. Our apartment had mold but they kept saying no mold in there. They couldn't fit anything or replace appliances when they needed to be replaced. The staff in the office were rude. The cleaning ladies were just as rude. The maintenance guys were friendly but useless. The draw to move here at the time was the pool. It was closed for maintenance more then it was open.

they say people post reviews just when they have something negative to say? there is nothing positive about this place, other than the area. i lived here from the start of 2017 to 2018, below are some key points. facts: BED BUGS... not in my apartment, however at least every month mattresses can be found at each dumpster, that is a lot of mattresses, they must be on sale somewhere? MAINTENANCE... there maintenance staff will have you waiting days before work will commence, i warn you do not take a day off work, they will not show, you will need to take a week off to coordinate with there random showing. And when they do show, they know very little and will leave your place a mess and or with a job that looks worse than the initial problem, you will have more problems, better to fix it yourself, or hire someone. OFFICE... these women in the office are compulsive liars. there only interest is to collect your money and ensure you are not going to be comfortable living there, how do they do this, manipulation and abuse putting you on a short leash for there control, or you will be terminated at any given time, if you don't bow down to them. its your classic power trip, maybe it's there security system, they have your money and your home by the strings right. POOL... don't think for a minute you will ever see this pool operational, that would cost them money to maintain, it's all a front, maybe at one time under different management this was operational however, this is just another way to funnel money from your pocket and an advertising scam. And yes they do the occasional work on a non operational pool, that would just be to charge 1000% mark up on costs and write it off. CLEAN ME... the cleaning is done once a month to the best of my knowledge, this includes vacuuming and mopping the stairs and common areas. if it's every 3 weeks, my mistake i rarely notice anything done or see anyone cleaning it's very rare, the hallways are a mess and the place is gross. SECURITY... there is none. the emergency line advertised sends you to a call center that will have you on hold for an 45min to an hour. and then the message is later sent to someone that should be on call however if they determine your concern does not affect there building, and only affects you or others in the community, it will not be responded to, the building is all they care about, not you. BREAK INS... almost all doors have door break plates, from the handle been kicked in, must have been a lot of break ins, or these repair plates were on sale and an accessory for decor. I heard of a few break ins but i never had that problem i installed a fake security camera outside mine as a deterrent lol. FRONT... the pictures look amazing, as well the office and the fake smile you get as you continue to pay. As for the apartment, you got a great location with a headache that never goes away. FALSE CLAIMS... this place will constantly tell you this or that to blow you off keep you in the daze of either things getting done, resolutions, pool, i can't even write more here... everything is a lie, they are just crooks collecting money. they do nothing to aid in a comfortable stay in any way. you pay for 4 walls get free water, but please go easy on it. and that's it. HIDDEN CAMERAS... there has been claims by the management that they have hidden security cameras in common areas, i am not sure if this is true, but it's kinda uncomfortable. they just have the interest in protecting there investment, as for your stay... we've covered that. i would give zero stars if i could. and upon leaving they will take you for money and your deposit, is it worth filing a claim with the tenant board, this place will suck the life outta you, and they get paid every time it seems, there still doing it. LAUNDRY.. another disaster That was an honest review. not trying to be negative but if you paid my rent for a year or years to stay here, not a chance.

We lived at cambridge west for almost 4 years. Oh where do I start?? The building was cleaned maybe 1 times per month (yes even during covid) and in order to get messes from tenants cleaned we had to email the office, but were told that the building is inspected daily (ya right??). The first time we complained in person about the cleanliness the cleaning lady yelled at us and called us liars and that the building was cleaned (which it was not). We were always kicking out homeless (even after the “cameras” were installed) and getting yelled at and threatened by them. Tenants leave stuff and garbage messes everywhere and do not clean up after themselves and also do what ever they please even if there are building rules in the lease. In the time we were living there, I got to use the pool/ sundeck a hand full of times cause either the pool was being fixed/ closed for maintenance and it is open during office hours only; well guess what? Us working people have those same hours so we barely have time for it! Same thing with the gym.. pay for it in the rent, but never used it as only open during office hours (and a lot of the times the office would be closed early during the week and/ or on week ends and never open for access on Sundays)! Took 3 years to get our heating to work properly l as it was too hot in May/ June cause the heating was still going and we were told and I quote: well in the Philipines people like it hot ????????‍♀️ Well our heating ended up dying february 2020 and had to call the emergency line as our place was freezing; still took 4 days and 2 other calls to finally be fixed. They have bug traps that were there for over 2 years (and in our apartment for the same amount of time) that were never changed! Also surface mold in the bathroom cause the fan was not strong enough that I asked them to take care of before move in, which they never did cause we had to disinfect and scrub many many times. When we moved out, we left the apartment in better, cleaner condition than how it was given to us so at least we got our whole deposit back, which is 1 of the only positive besides being close to the mall. I did live at Aspen Terrace in Camrose and the managers and buildings there were so nice and clean; I never thought buildings from the same company would be the total opposite and it was actually a traumatizing experience living at cambridge. They do try and give incentives, but with everything we endured (the homeless could have really hurt one of us) not worth staying there. Finally, I really don’t get the 5 star reviews!!

all the recent positive reviews are paid for and/or are the leasing agents themselves. Do yourself a favor and scroll further down to the negative reviews, these are accurate. Lived her for three years, my kitchen cabinets were rotting off the walls, my carpets looked like they had stampedes of elephants trampling them daily. The tenants have no respect or regard for each other. Outdoor maintenance is NEVER done in the winter, the whole parking lot is a slab of ice, you will be lucky if they throw some gravel down. No regulated water temperature, goes from scalding to freezing in the course of a ten minute shower. Thankfully, i did not have bedbugs in my apartment (B building) but i heard cases in almost all the other buildings. Kids everywhere, at all times, playing in the parking lots, running through the halls, leaving the exterior doors open so non-tenants and homeless people can have access to the buildings. Some teenage kid that likes to smoke weed in the stairwell and spray mass amount of cologne to attempt to cover it up, instead of just you know, going outside to blaze it. TLDR: don't live here, it's a slum house with even worse slumlords.

I have been living at Cambridge West Apartments for 18 months now; with no immediate plans to move. Over all, I find this community meets my needs. The West Edmonton Mall is a short walk away. A hospital, schools, churches, parks, library, and grocery stores are all close by. This makes for a very nice community atmosphere having these amenities close by. My apartment was newly renovated when I moved in. It is clean, bright, and spacious. The kitchen counter is a little on the small side, but that’s apartment living. The building is older. It’s dated. That’s not a criticism, more of a fact. That doesn’t make it any less of a desirable place to live. From a security standpoint, I have never had any cause for concern here. I saw a complaint written in these reviews that complained about the maintenance staff. I have not had the same experience. In fact, quite the opposite. I have had two occasions that I needed help from maintenance, and my concerns were addressed right away, and remedied. I was quite happy with how quickly these concerns were fixed. My neighbours on the entire floor are quiet. No loud music, no parties, no annoying behaviours. The only complaint I have, and it is a minor complaint, is the machine that we use to load our laundry cards is in the Administration Office, that isn’t available at all times. So a little pre planning on loading the card is needed. If you plan to use the laundry, and you have no funds on your card, and it happens to be Sunday, you are out of luck until Monday morning. It’s a minor issue. Over all, I find the administration staff to be caring people, who strive to make this community a beautiful place, and to bring everyone together as a community, through different events in the year. I hope this review is of help to people.

I have lived here for 2 years. I love the location. On 4th G building. Sad to be moving(for work) amazin ladys at the front office. Only issue we had is the office most of the time is closed on weekends. And when i go during the week in the evening. There is always a huge possibility it will be closed. Oh And the laundry card machine? It is inside the office. So we found it easier to fill up the laundry card at a Macs Conveinance store. But overall its a great place to stay. PS: no elevators. Lol

I HAD BEEN TO LONDON IN THE YEAR 2015 AND STAYED THERE ALSO. LONDON IS A MARVELOUS CITY BUT ALBERTA IS NO LESS COMPARATIVELY SPEAKING. WHEREAS WEST CAMBRIDGE HOMES IS AT THE APEX NO LESS THAN A FIVE STAR COMFORT ACCORDED TO ITS RESIDENTS. THE WEST CAMBRIDGE HOMES ARE SPACIOUS, KEPT WARM THROUGHOUT WHETHER BE IT SNOW, SLEET OR STORM. THE ADMINISTRATIVE N THE MAINTENANCE STAFF IS VERY COURTEOUS, PUNCTUAL, EFFICIENT AT A COMFORTABLY AFFORDABLE RENT WHICH HAS WON OUR HEARTS. THEY HAD HELD CHRISTMAS PARTY, N ON VARIOUS OCCASIONS OTHER PARTIES TOO WHICH HAS WON THE HEARTS OF NOT ONLY THE PARENTS BUT ALSO THEIR CHILDREN, WHO ENJOYED TO THEIR HEARTS CONTENT WITH DONUTS, HOT CHOCOLATES, COFFEE, N GIFTS FOR THE CHILDREN TOO. IT WAS A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE SITTING WITH THE SANTA WHO WAS SIMPLY WONDERFUL, JOLLY AND A GENEROUS SOUL WHOSE PHOTOGRAPHS WITH ME I SHALL CHERISH AS LONG AS I REMEMBER. My family has lived here for almost 8 years. We love living here. Close to malls, transit center, Safeway, schools. Staff are very friendly & accommodating. I love this community because most everyone is very friendly, not afraid to start conversations & watch out for each other. The buildings are dated, but well looked after by the staff. Staff is always cleaning the yard, weather permitting. Spring & summer the area is well kept & flowers are planted. Looks very nice and inviting in the summer. You can sit anywhere in the complex and enjoy the beauty. Unfortunately there is no guest parking, but there is plenty of parking out on the streets in the evenings and weekends. The staff try to accommodate all residents, but sometimes its hard to do.

This review is all about a lady working at this place “Ronna”. I live in this community from 2017 and never had such a Worst Experience there. She is such a Rude person, doesn’t have a clue about good customer service. I went there for a small concern but she ruined my day and I felt so disrespectful. Manager Anna is nice and always try to resolve the problem.

Truck is broken into monthly, black mould in home, wont even bother to come and take a look at until something else that’s broken can be replaced by them (2weeks), carpets in lobby never vacuumed. The blonde lady that’s the cleaner is usually in the parking lot yelling at guests, and tenants advertising that she works here and we should do what she says.. They should move this building directly to 118ave where it belongs, don’t ever think about living here you’ll regret it and never forget it.

Where do I start. after being approved for the apartment. we couldn't move in on our move in date due to still cleaning and maintenance, is what they pretended. The carpets were NOT steam cleaned at all,they just vacuumed. I had to clean the stove/Oven, all the window tracks were FULL of filth and bugs. Opened the dishwasher to find it hadn't been cleaned in years. Even after attempting to clean it I gave up. we have no dishwasher even though we pay for it. Blinds were installed incorrectly. The shower head didn't work. Sliding glass door for balcony does not roll. I had to go into the wall myself and find the cable line.all the kitchen cabinets are straight up falling apart and rotted, when I asked for them to be replaced the maintenance guy came and put a few nails in it.. it still sags horribly and is rotted. The unit they showed me was 10x nicer and cleaner than this one because according to them, they couldn't get in our unit due to the maintenance guy having the key.(I swear it's a show apt so they can convince you you're getting something of the same quality when in fact it's not even close.) one of the lady's in the office is super pleasant. The other one that has been here for a long time is a nightmare and pretends to hear what your saying but you can tell she ain't listening to anything. The maintenance guy will look at you like you're a joke if you ask about anything or say anything about the quality of the unit or what needs repairs. Apparently there is a pool but it is never operational. The office and outside of building looks exceptional, It's all a front. That's not even all.. the list is extensive and carries on.....the overall quality of EVERYTHING around here including service is so below a standard acceptance its unreal. The Operators of this building should be investigated. I would not even recommend this building to my worst enemy. AVOID AT ALL COST LIKE THE PLAGUE.

all these 5 star reviews really aggravate me. They are bought, there is a spin wheel in the main office with incentives that you are able to spin if you say you'll post a positive review. This place is awful, I lived here for a number of years and the GM, Ana is the worst property management i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Her fake smile makes my skin crawl, it's all teeth.

I lived here in three different buildings . Each suite was disgusting infested with bugs and not cleaned when I moved in . The workers in the office are rude and try to get you out before you can clean so you don't get damage deposit back. The suites are not updated and very expensive . So happy I'm now out of there .

I noticed a lot of these five star reviews are basically saying the same thing, and specifically highlight one staff member, AND the 'owners seems to only respond to those reviews. Having stayed there myself I can also tell you it isn't true. The place was remarkably unclean, and poorly kept. I could never get ahold of anyone when my sink stopped working, at one point I was calling three times a day for a week. It was a very unpleasant experience and I wouldn't be moving back, despite their promises of 'major renovations'. I lived there three years ago and still have yet to see any kind of renovation done on my building complex. So yeah, I would definitely take the other supposed five star reviews with a grain of salt, and I'll be speaking with the Better Business Bureau just to make sure nothing fishy really was done.

I rented the appartment at Cambridge West for six years. Great location, minutes to the West Edmonton Mall, Misericordia Hospital, transit centre, stores such as Canadian Tire, Home Depot etc. Friendly, attentive and courteous people in the office. Nice place to stay, highly recommended.

Ok since my last post we caught 6 mice till today. It's eating away the pesticide that the pest control person came and kept and it's still roaming around. We paying rent to live with mice at this place. Will never ever recommend to any to get into this apartment. Worst experience.

Everything was very clean and ready for me to move in. All my questions were answered very clearly. Love my new home. Hoping to call this home for a few years. Thanks rona! There is no peace or quiet around here. Every other week there's a sheet of paper taped to your door about some disturbance or pain in the ass that's going to be going on in the near future. Buildings are old as dirt, getting the exterior locks to open takes several minutes. The laundry is atrocious, it takes 3 dryer cycles at $2.25 per cycle to get clothes dry enough to hang. My suite has been entered by staff twice in five months of tenancy, the first being an annual inspection and the second being a pre-inspection prior to moving out. Most suites in my building are empty, easy to see why. As I type this, some contractor has landed his manlift on my balcony (which is part of my suite) without me having been served proper notice of entry by anyone, cherry on the cake. Save yourself the nightmare, I'd rather go back to -shudder- Boardwalk.
