I went through the process of interviewing five agents from 5 different companies.every one of the agents were given a home tour and then we sat down for my interview questions and seek answers. "We first engaged Nina when we were thinking of purchasing a house in Ottawa. Our situation was more challenging than most because we were living abroad, which meant that for the most part, everything needed to be done remotely. Nina quickly and accurately sized up our needs and desires, so that when we came to Ottawa on a short visit, she arranged several viewings that ticked all our boxes. Had a bad experience reflecting lack of respect and lack of professionalism from realtor Mr Hull. He did not show up to the visit he requested. My 70 year old parents had drive for 45 minutes each way for nothing. They waited 25 minutes for him and he did not show up. We tried calling him the night before to confirm and left him a message with his secretary. We called him the same day and left another message with his secretary. Our calls were never returned and finally my parents had to drive back another 45 minutes. We finally received a text (!) from Mr Hull who justified his absence by explaining that his clients had a small "fender bender en route". It seems like he changed his mind a short while after explaining that he had too many visits planned, running behind on schedule. It would have been appreciated if he could have let us know that he would not be able to show up to the appointment he requested. He could as well have called to explain himself and be sincere in his apologies instead of feeding me with bogus excuses.

While the agent I spoke with (intially contacted on the 19th) to inquire about a viewing came across as professional, I was told that they would be available for a viewing on the 23rd and that they would keep me posted on what time. I never heard back, and had to contact them again asking if there were still units available to rent only to receive a brief "they've all been rented" as a response. I don't find it very professional to tell a potential tenant that you would keep them posted and then provide no additional info or even let them know when the units they are looking forward to viewing have been rented. Perhaps I'm unfamiliar with how things work in real estate but this seems inappropriate and inconsiderate.

Five years ago, to the week, I came across Tracey in Prince Edward County while we were both on weekend getaways. I shyly approached my idol, the woman I considered to be the Ottawa Real Estate Queen! Andy and Paddy were efficient and skillful and really a joy to work with. I’m happy to have the home beyond my dreams, but sad that our time together has come to an end.
