I used the services of Michael Lederman in May 2019. He provided good service until the sale was done. Once the condo was sold, customer service went out the door. I had asked his stager to double check the price with Michael because I had thought he had said it was lower. Within an hour I received an abusive voicemail from Michael basically telling me off and to pay the staging price and that it was "worth it" because the place got sold quickly. I wasn't disputing the staging, I was inquiring about the price I had been quoted. I had always treated Michael with full respect, so I felt his response was over the top, and uncalled for. I showed the voicemail to a couple of colleagues who said I should file an abusive complaint to his realty agency, but I did not. I would just not use him again.

Before finding Michael, we had worked with another real estate agent who seemed uncommitted, was hesitant to answer our questions, and whose answers were often incomplete when he did reply - before literally giving up on us without the courtesy of even letting us know. Everything changed once we started working with Michael. He spent time talking us through everything, never hesitated to answer our questions, and was thorough, timely, and understanding of our needs and situation. His friendliness, good nature, and industry experience are unmistakable qualities. He’s a professional with integrity who values you as a person instead of a number. It’s obvious that he loves what he does, and we found his passion reassuring. It seemed like an impossible task - finding the perfect family home at an affordable price, in the middle of a pandemic, and in time to have our kids registered at their new schools. Michael jumped to the challenge and laid out all of our options and the potential paths we could take. He built us a plan that made sense. He found suitable listings and used his connections to get us in for visits with almost no notice. Michael walked us through the entire process and never hesitated to answer our many questions, providing valuable clarification and insights at every step. We were interested in several homes and it would have been very easy for him to push us towards the most expensive ones (which would have meant a larger cut for him), but he consistently reminded us of what our initial spending target was and kept us to it at a time when we were getting desperate and could have been pushed into spending more than we initially wanted to. We had little-to-no prior real estate experience, we were rushed, and we could have been influenced easily. Michael could have taken advantage of that, but instead he used those factors to reassure and guide us. We found our family home, within our intended price range, and in time for our kids to be registered at their new schools. We couldn’t have done it without him. Our entire family is beyond grateful. When it came time to make an offer, Michael really shined. We were competing with other buyers, but his communication skills and industry knowledge got our bid accepted, despite the seller receiving higher offers. The seller even made a point of telling us that our agent was amazing and that his savvy was the primary reason our offer was accepted so quickly (literally less than half an hour later – and without cutting any corners or skipping on conditions)! If it wasn’t for Michael, we would have either had to pay a lot more than we did, or would have had to settle for an inferior home.
