Editted to address the realtor's response. I was pressured by this realtor to leave my home during showings despite the fact that the representative at the covid information line advised me to stay home so I would know what had been touched. At that time realtors and potential buyers were not supposed to touch anything but these protocols were consistently ignored. I had asked Hamel to be present to ensure protocols were followed and he refused. My apartment is small but distancing is easy when people choose to do so. Most of the realtors did not choose to do so. The missed appointments had nothing to do with others realtors or potential buyers. These were appointments made directly between Hamel and myself, no one else had a key so I had to be here to let him see the apartment and make a copy of the key. The first time he didn't even bother to show up, the second time he was half an hour late. On both occasions he did not bother contacting me to let me know the situation. He announced to myself and neighbours that he would not do showings on Sundays, presenting it as though he was taking initiative to show us consideration, when it is actually illegal to enter a tenant's unit on Sundays. And then he tried to book a showing on a Sunday anyway. He also tried to book showings with less than 24 hours notice and played the "well you were okay with it before" after I'd agreed once when he'd asked politely during extenuating circumstances. All in all he seems like a manipulative shuster to me and I wouldn't trust him to return a library book much less sell my house. ------------ Does not take steps to ensure covid safety protocols are followed when showing inhabited residences. Shows up late for appointments, or doesn't show up at all, without bothering to notify those he is meeting. Creates unnecessary stress.

I can't speak highly enough about Rob's level of customer service, knowledge, communication, and overall decency as a professional in an often challenging field. Not only is Rob a supportive and informed realtor, he has an extensive understanding of construction methods and we found this an invaluable addition to his portfolio of skills. Rob assisted us over an extended period of time during a real estate process that ultimately bought him very little personal reward due to unforeseen circumstances entirely beyond his control. As a listing realtor Rob invests substantial time and money up front to ensure that your home will look its best when it goes to market. Further to this, he prices his listings appropriately for the market and for that reason they attract buyers rapidly. I have high expectations of professionals and I am happy to say that Rob is up there among the best I have dealt with. Finally, Rob is a decent, hard working man who is easy to like and great fun to be around. His integrity and commitment to good customer service really stands out and I will recommend him to anybody who will listen!

We gave Rob a seemingly impossible task: find us a house within three months, we want it to be very nice, spacious enough for our growing family but within a reasonable budget, and, oh yeah, we’re likely going to be out of the country when it comes time to close. Rob was confident he could find us what we wanted. He showed us houses tirelessly, always adjusting the next showing to our reactions and we quickly zeroed in on exactly what we wanted even when we initially had no clue what we were looking for in a first home. Throughout, he was very professional, always on time for showings and responsive to queries. When we did find the house we wanted, he bargained hard for us and we got it at a much lower price than we were prepared to pay. We left the country a few months before closing but Rob was able to arrange for all the paperwork to be finalized and ready so that the transaction took place without a hitch even when we were thousands of kilometers away. We came home to a beautiful house, a Home Depot gift card on our kitchen counter and even a trash can in our garage placed by Rob—a testament to the care and anticipation he puts into his work.

When looking for a realtor to sell our home, we turned to Rob, someone who had become a friend over the years. It would prove to be the best decision we could have made. At every turn, Rob provided not only suggestions, but solutions. He would take information from our open houses and within hours not only have contacted us, but have a game plan on moving forward. If it was something he had access to, he would personally bring it to us or make the necessary phone call needed to get things going. His constant contact and updates kept us always at peace of mind that our home would be sold. We can both personally speak to Rob's genuine approach to things. Rob just sold our house before he was able to publicly list it! We contacted him on a Monday. He did his walk through on Tuesday, photos on Friday, showing on Saturday, offer on Sunday. We got what we were after. This was our second experience using Rob's services. He sold our townhouse in 2014 and helped us buy the house we just sold. With this sale, Rob went above and beyond by taking care of numerous details after the sale, up until the closing date. We moved out of the province one month prior to the closing date.
