My partner and I had found a few listings we wanted to check out; so we contacted Grassroots and got matched with Annette Hunter to be our realtor. She was super flexible with our schedules and able to book showings outside of regular business hours. After looking at a couple listings that we ended up feeling weren't quite right for us, Annette pulled some expired listings for us to consider. We had no idea this was even possible; and she ended up finding us the perfect acreage in our budget. After jumping through hoops with Kris Waye, I was very disappointed that both him and his staff DISCRIMINATED me for being an Indigenous Niiji/Indigenous Aborigines (the government/Colonists system classifies my people who aren't African nor from Africa as "Black/Coloured" and DISCRIMINATED the type of breed my four dogs (two Doberman Pinschers and two Great Danes) are by using the Banned Breed List, yet they clearly said a month ago while I had been residing at the Odyssey House Women's Homeless Shelter fleeing from Domestic Violence and Abuse since April 25th, 2019 that they helped a previous tenant find a rental home for that person and the three dogs that person owned. I'm not impressed with their unprofessionalism being DISCRIMINATED for being homeless, being DISCRIMINATED for living off of Alberta Works/Alberta Supports Emergency Financial Assistance program, and being DISCRIMINATED when he questioned about my credit score, my GOOD references, and my UPS mailbox address on my bank account. How else is my mail from Alberta Supports/Works, from my bank statements, documents from Grande Prairie Regional College, from my cell phone provider, and from my Income Tax refund/notice of assessment/GST/ACLAR suppose to come to me while I am homeless in the Odyssey House Women's Homeless Shelter and not transferred over to the Rotary House Homeless Shelter since Kris Waye of Grassroots Property Management was suppose to help prevent me from residing at the Rotary. I even went as far as willing to provide the: - Dog resume - In person Dog Interview - References from the three Kennel Boarding companies including the fourth one in Parkland County where my dogs are currently residing and that I'm paying the fees each month - videos of the Dog interacting with people, children and other dogs and cats - and purchased a policy for home insurance to cover $300,000 in damage - yet my dogs never damage anything. Do I recommend them. HELL NO since they are DISCRIMATORY AND RACIST towards Indigenous Niiji/Indigenous Aborigines (the government/Colonists system classifies my people who aren't African nor from Africa as "Black/Coloured" and homeless women fleeing from Domestic Violence and Abuse. Sounds like they have been doing a lot of money laundering anyway, since they've booming and gaining more property. No worries. Karma will take care of you Kris Waye and staff members of Grassroots Property Management and Grassroots Realty Group.

THE worst experience with a rental agency thus far. Set up rental viewings and travelled 4 hours to view. Gave contact instructions to administration who was in charge of setting up these viewings at the time of bookings. Long story short..less then an hour before first booked appointment Grassroots called my husband(instructed not too as he was at work and in meetings) to tell him the unit(1st pick) was rented the day before. No apologies, no communication what so ever and then proceeded to question why I wasn't already at second showing, again no communication to let me know to head over to said showing for a different time.Prissy, unqualified and extremely condescending young lady that finally answered after sitting in a parking lot waiting for instruction was so ignorant and had the nerve to tell me to 'calm down' after voicing this is not the way too conduct business.Again no apologies just "are you going to hurry up and make it to second viewing" our agent is sitting there waiting for you. Finally made it to viewing, agent didn't greet me with even a 'Hello', she had greasy hair, tattered clothes, not professional in the least.I'm guessing this is why said agent was no longer with Royal Lepage. The next day received an email with a made-up excuse that they had to reject our approved application.I guess they didn't like being told how unprofessional they are and that's how they responded.

We rented an apartment through grassroots and were incredibly disappointed. When we moved in, the apartment had not been cleaned. There was dirt on the floor and generally disgusting. Grassroots then sent a lady to clean the apartment. After she left, it looked the exact same way it did when she arrived. Grassroots said, well, we will make a note of it for when you move out. So that was nice having to clean the apartment ourselves. It took two weeks to get our toilet fixed. Grassroots said that it took so long because their maintenance person had got into a car accident. That's fair, but maybe you should hire another person to cover the injured worker. The windows in the unit would freeze and large amounts of ice would accumulate inside of them. When it would warm up, the ice would melt and the water would run down the walls and pool in the middle of the living room. This would also happen in the bedroom. There was a distinct musky odour in the unit which may have been caused by mold forming on the inside of the drywall from the water running down from the windows on a daily basis. It was a bad experience and I do not recommend grassroots rentals to anyone. We moved out a month early just to get out of there. Everything noted above was reported to grassroots but there was a sense of "we will get to it when we get to it". Terrible customer service.

Morgan was referred to us by a family member who has worked with him for many years building houses and Morgan helping sell them. We were referred to him two years ago. Morgan helped us every step of the way until we finally found the house we wanted. He wasnt pushy, but patient and very knowledgeable, not restrictive in times but flexible and accommodating to our hours. He worked with us about our criterias that we were looking for and helped us find a place within our budget. We found his service far above what we excepted a realtor to be. It didn't end at the signing of the papers. We have been moved in for a couple weeks now and every time we've had a question he always taken the time to give us an answer. We feel very confident that this house we bought is the perfect choice for our family and we couldn't have done this without Morgan. My review is based on personal knowledge and my experience first hand how the events transpired!My son rented from Grassroots for almost 2 years.He kept to himself,was quiet as he has always been his whole life!He paid rent on time,took care of the place he rented! My son and I decided to get a place together to help save one another money. So my son said he wanted to stay with grassroots if we could!So we found a place booked a showing,but said we would take it anyways,so the lease for the new house was emailed to my son and we were going to see the new place on friday, which it was tuesday.Then receiving a call from one of the "team mates" on that Thursday telling us she rented it out this evening, what the!?! We had the lease,security deposit and were going to view on friday as we were told that was the soonest we could see it!So back to looking!In the mean time I prepared my son's place for moving packing and so on,there was a knock at the door.It was one of the"team mates".I said hang on I had to put my dog out on the patio,but the"team mate"had already unlocked the door and was trying to come in!I got my son up immediately!My son went out to hallway to talk with the"team mate",also there was the couple that was suppose to view the apartment! This"team mate "proceeded to tell my son they emailed him to tell him about the viewing and then her herself called and had spoke to him about the viewing for today!Once again my son tried to tell her he knew nothing of this viewing!She told my son to go get his phone to show it to her! My son came into the apartment grabbed his phone and went back out!He showed her the phone and there was no call!So now grasping at straws she said,show me your email!Well first off that's private and confidential,but my son showed her that he did not have his email on his phone as it would be going off steady and he didnt want that.So now she tried,well you had to of changed your number and didnt give us the new number!(Now if u remember she already said she talked to my son,so how could she have the wrong number then?)So she told my son give me your number and I will call your phone right now,my son being quick on his feet said,"How about you call the number you have for me and let's see what happens".So she dialed,and guess what his phone rang! So she had the right number. So then she tried this factor,well I am going to show the place as we are already here.My son refused,as we had stuff pushed all over for cleaning boxes everywhere it was not showable like this!You could clearly see she was mad about the situation,but this is how it goes!I then told my son to bring his email up on his computer,cause this was unacceptable for her to treat him like this,but I did not want to complain if she legitimately emailed him! I looked through inbox,sent,draft,saved,spam, garbage and there were no emails at all.I then got a hold of 1 of the owner for grassroots.He to was not impressed by what had taken place.He said he would bring it to the attention of the proper management team looking after the property.I thanked him and that was it.They had their handyman come first to inspect I was there for that,the only issues were a slight dent in closet door not even measuring an inch,but the master room carpert was an issue I thought but the handyman said "Nah its not a big deal!" So we had the whole month to move things out,and we cleaned the apartment from top to bottom!We did this for just over a week coming back to the apartment every day to make sure all the cleaning had gotten done! Rented a steam cleaner for the carpets produced the receipt for the move out inspection.The place was cleaner then it was when my son moved in.So the day of the inspection came and the walk through was done with a gentlemen and he said everything looked great,yes he saw the dent on the closer door and yes the carpet in the master room you could smell cat urine!Even after we had steam cleaned.Nothing else brought to my sons attention,but charged 11 hours for cleaning then charged for steam cleaning!Dishonesty!

the worst experience I had with a non-professional agency that is poorly managed we rented with them the past year we arrive to take possession of the accommodation it was being repaired yet no service from them when we left we cleaned everything perfectly an agent came to inspect with us and told us that everything was correct surprise when the moment of giving us the deposit he charges us $ 300 for cleaning fees $ 180 for gas and water that we provided the collection of payment by the company of real thief and for answer it is made say that if we were not happy to bring them in court and it us we hang up the line in the face or of news from them. Don't do business with them
