They spent as much time as they could to find us the best house even tried to show us a house that the renter threatened to burn down if we came in. This was my second purchase and my first realtor just tired to get us to buy a house and make commission. Rhino on the other hand took us to so many houses to make sure we were taken care of.

We were skeptical at first because of the commission pricing and the cash back reward that we wouldn't get the quality service we needed but we were blown away by their quality and professionalism! Mixed feelings with my Rhino experience. Chose the pay-up-front option in attempts to save some cash and that may have been a mistake. The house sold, eventually. During the listing process and during the selling offers I rarely felt that I received any advice from my realtor, I felt that I was driving the discussion and that the realtor was simply forwarding my messages. When the house did go through a successful offer, I never once received a phone call from my realtor during the transaction, only text messages. Was not happy with the quality of photos originally uploaded (strange colour editing) and took the better part of the initial week on MLS to resolve. It is worth noting that the Rhino savings vs conventional commissions in my instance were about $5000. Was dealing with a separate buying realtor in a different city during this time and the difference was night and day.

I started to look for a property in Calgary this spring. I used this company because they have buyer cash back. I was not entirely sure what suited me the best so I went on quite a few showings with Kristen. Unlike other companies, Rhino doesn't reduce your cash back based on how many showings you go to. That is a good thing. Some weekends when she is not available, I went with two realtors from other firms. One of the other realtors really pushed me on closing the deal and I almost got stuck with paying a much higher price for a property. Another one was a smooth talker full of $hit. : D So I really appreciate Kristen being honest with me all the time. Honesty is so important in real estate and it is a scarce commodity. She always answers my questions with patience and never pushes me into making a purchase decision unless I am certain. I will recommend Kristen from Rhino for purchasing real estate. Plus, getting a little bit of cash back is great, can be used on closing costs or moving expenses.

It was very difficult to get ahold of her as she was away for a few weeks, and then once back she was 'trying to open up a day' to be able to talk to me about the listing my house. I got the impression that trying to setup a phone call was a massive inconvenience for her to fit into her extremely busy schedule. Dodged a bullet by not listing with these guys

I sold my house through these guys and the concept is great. Paid full flat fee of $3400 at the time which saved me over $10000 on the sell side. I offered $10000 to the buy side scam artist which was 4000 below the usual 7% and 3% full fee ripoff. Good money for being a glorified taxi driver. No open houses but that's a waste of time and they are really just opportunities for the full fee scam artist to solicit more clients. Got everything else a full fee realtor would do. Calculate where the break even point is for what your selling. Don't fall for the full fee realtors reasoning that the realtors fee is built into the price so you really don't pay anything. BS. People pay what your house is worth and it could be the asking price or more so save your money..

Formally staged my property and then hired Rhino Realty under a 6 month contract. Pictures taken were OK, but there were were inconsistencies and mistakes in the less than exciting writeup. I had to chase them to correct mistakes and eventually wrote up my own. Over a 6 month contract I had less than 8 showings. Kristen was unconcerned over the lack of showings or progress and her only idea was to lower the price. I did lower the price twice during my contract with them. Average time for response to any phone call or e-mail was 2 days and there was no followup market analysis unless I chased them for it. Eventually I got feedback from people who had gone through the property from Kristen but I had to chase her for that too. Overall sloppy work and totally unimpressive. I have now hired real estate agents who are willing to hustle to get the sale and I have had almost as many people go through in 3 weeks as I did in 6 months with Rhino.

It amazes me this company is in business. Not only were they unable to answer most of the questions I had about effectively selling my property myself, but ALL the basic services I paid for -- e.g. "professional" photos, template documents, writing up the listing -- were so amateur I could have done a better job myself (actually lots of these I did -- I retook my photos, sent them new listing writeups, and used the selling realtor's documents) While I can't comment whether or not you should go with a realtor or try to sell on your own (there are definitely pros and cons to both), I can say with certainty that you shouldn't go with this company.

The other realtors we met with had done zero research and basically did a walk through and provided a low ball estimate. An excellent way to sell your property. We have sold two properties with RhinoRealty and would recommend to anyone. If you aren't comfortable with negotiating they also provide help with that. This is an extra cost, but well worth it, as it will still save you money on real-estate commissions. Karissa was professional, and easy to deal with throughout the process. A great experience.
