We purchased a home in NW Calgary about 5 years ago with Jessica. Every time I reflect on the process and journey, I cannot help but cringe. This was our first home, but Jessica herself couldn’t meet with us or show us homes. Not clear why to this day, but she had a gentleman named Duncan show us properties. What I disliked so much was not being included in the conversation. Questions were being directed to my husband as if he spoke for us, let me assure you, I’m quite comfortable speaking for myself. While this was an annoyance and we considered switching real estate agents, it was our first home and we didn’t want to waste time getting the home we liked while it was still available. Now that I’ve had years pass, the entire ordeal still upsets me. I’ve also had time to look at other agents and see that they buy housewarming gifts and add personal touches to the experience. Something we never had, but as a word-of-mouth market, these touches really make clientele feel like they’re more than a number. We will absolutely look for different agents elsewhere in the future, but nonetheless wanted to share our experience with Jessica and her team.
